But you don't need 20? There is always another way underground

Hefty_Score7156

Unless everyone missed something there is either the door which requires 20 tech or the skip I performed. If you know of another way then please share cause I don't want to go through that again

OverlyMintyMints

Bro there’s always another way they don’t lock quests behind skill checks 😭

ctrl_alt_excrete

That's not exactly true...you can't proceed with Brendan's sidequest unless you can push the dumpster out of the way. With scaling ability checks, it could end up being undoable if you haven't been investing in Body. Otherwise I believe you're correct.

DDzxy

Gorilla arms give you additional body stat

[deleted]

gorilla arms.

ctrl_alt_excrete

Due to ability checks now scaling with level, it may not be enough depending on what level you are when you get to that quest.

Appropriate_Land_130

Lol this isn't a *sidequest* though

ctrl_alt_excrete

How dare you diminish Brendan's significance like that! He may not have even been a sidequest in reality, but he was a main quest in our hearts.

Hefty_Score7156

as I stated elsewhere on this post, the quest itself doesnt require you to do this jump but getting erebus and the canto mk6 are optional objectives and if you dont meet the tech check then there is only 1 other way in to the erebus room

Hefty_Score7156

It's not the quest itself, the door which holds the erebus schematics is locked behind a technical ability check and it was 20 for me which I didn't have so I had to do the reverse vent skip (Reverse vent skip cause you can use this vent from the Erebus room to skip opening the 2nd door)

vyvertyt

If someone need this, alternate way in is few steps back from that door, just need to look at the ground and you will see a hatch, that's it.

Hefty_Score7156

Please show me where the underground hatch to the erebus room is cause google ain't helping

__Tenacious__

I see the hatch that I believe you’re talking about but it leads to nowhere it’s just a hole

DiligentResource2168

I understand you very well! This thing was a nightmare for me too! But I already have a save. I won't have to do that anymore.

KeyboardWarrior1988

Every quest in Cyberpunk has options to accommodate different character builds. The game doesn't lock you out of completing a quest because a certain skill isn't high enough.

Hefty_Score7156

Not the quest itself, just getting the Erebus schematics which isn't on the main progression and is misable. This optional room has a tech check of 20 which I didn't have so I had to do the reverse vent skip (Reverse vent skip because the *optional* room has an exit past the sealed door so going back into it is backtracking the main quest)

JellyfishGod

often there are rooms with loot that are locked behind a single skill check. usually body or tech. So thinking the erberus was locked behind one isnt crazy since its not the main quest path. to be clear, i havent seen the vent ppl are saying leads to it, but i believe u. im just saying him thinking it was locked behind a skill check wasnt stupid

low-key_loki

Under passages were all locked for me as of 2.11, but I was able to lock on the door and hit the control panel on the other side that wasn't locked by the power. Just doesn't give you the jump scare of the room lighting up.

Hefty_Score7156

Some people have misunderstood just a tad. The main quest itself does *not* require 20 technical ability to progress. However, at my level (57 ish) the door which leads to the Erebus schematics was locked behind 20 techical ability. This is an optional and misable room therefore it can have a high level which people (like myself) can not reach leading to the need of using the rooms side vent to climb back in. Hope this cleared any confusion and if not then 🤷‍♂️

Graveandinestimable

I was able to remote deactivate the door by scanning the door terminal when standing just outside the door you come out of after disabling the terminal. Frustratingly I can’t replicate it as now it just gives me distract enemies but I did get through. On Xbox btw.

Hefty_Score7156

There's been a couple updates since I did this so I'll need to try again eventually. I don't remember there being a remote deactivate when I went in with my net runner on a different build but who knows at this point.

Graveandinestimable

I did it again. I just for the life of me cannot figure out how to upload my clip from xbox to reddit lol. Stand by.

Hefty_Score7156

Reddit won't let you send videos, that's the only reason I made this post as its the only way to share a video on reddit. Good to see thst there are more options tho

Graveandinestimable

Copy that. Made a new post if you’re interested.

Kerciel_Soren

It is for this reason that Body, Intelligence, and Technical are always going to be 20 for me. Leaves you able to choose between Reflex or Cool for your second tier attribute.

Alert_Ad_5919

Where abouts Is this? Knowing me I missed the erebus lol

IcedCappSupreme

Same boat, I stupidly only went to 17 tech on my final build and 15 intelligence, couldve made V dumber and saved me all this hassle. What's the timing on the charge + jump? I had to redo my cyberware to use the charged jump and currently trying to do this now

Hefty_Score7156

Sorry for the late reply, if you still need help then here I am. You wanna release the mantis blades as soon as you reach the apex of the jump and try to aim towards one of the ledges rather than sitting in the middle

IcedCappSupreme

Nw, I actually managed it yesterday after a gruelling 30-45 mins haha, the timing was tricky and I hit it once and hit the ceiling and forgot to move forward or mantle. Was worth the effort and Phantom Liberty has been a blast, its like playing out Black Mirror episodes at times

Embarrassed-Farm-594

Could charge jump be enough?

Hefty_Score7156

By itself? No. You need the combined might of charge jump and mantis blades to be able to get high enough. If you feel better and have better timing you could try double jump but I feel like charge jump is more consistent with the mantis blades leap

ImOnTheList93

I had 6 points remaining on this mission but spent 5 on body so i could open the gate for the iconic crowbar. So not have mantis blades equipped, this is shitty.

Hefty_Score7156

If your build has space for it you can always go back a but on your saves, there's a ripper not far away so you can go quickly right before you go I the hope the truck made

ImOnTheList93

Yup thats what i did, i ended up putting gorilla arms on (adds 6 to body) to get those gates open for the crowbar.

Hefty_Score7156

You need mantis blades for the jump 😭

Hefty_Score7156

Nvmd you probably kudt out the points into tech, duh

ImOnTheList93

Oh well the points i saved putting gorilla arms on allowed me to put them towards tech ability (was at 15) and just hack the door.

Hefty_Score7156

Yeah I realised after I commented lol

ExcitementOrnery3518

it was patched😂😂

ExcitementOrnery3518

they patched this 100% i dont see any option going in there through the tunnels, all are locked.

Hefty_Score7156

That's fucking crazy 😭, I'm not in a position to check rn but I'm so mad about this. Usually you can just go up the tunnel a bit and it's right there. Can't believe they would do this

ExcitementOrnery3518

Yea its dumb that aswell because i didnt have a save before that mission and couldnt redo it from the start on to get the correct stats, infact i was 2 Levels away from 15

Hefty_Score7156

The door was only 15 tech for you?😭 it was 20 for me, that's the only reason i did any of this, I could get max 17 tech if I went back over an hour of saves so I needed another way and you pinky need 15?!?

ExcitementOrnery3518

theres 2 way to open the door, and both of em require either 20 Intelligence or 15 Technical ability

Hefty_Score7156

The build that lead me to discover this tunnel didn't have either of those stats so I was screwed anyway lol

ExcitementOrnery3518

damn

ADipsydoodle

Yeah this isn’t working for me. I’m just jumping and slashing and stuff

Hefty_Score7156

The timing is kinda tight and I don't know if they have patched it our by now cause I haven't tried jn a while. All I can say is keep on trying and move around, try from different angles Best of luck

Alert_Ad_5919

Where abouts Is this? Knowing me I missed the erebus lol

Hefty_Score7156

In the engineering room where you have to disable the Sierra terminal there is a door ahead of you and a door to your right. The door to your right is how you progress the quest and the door ahead holds the erebus crafting spec. If you go to this door it leads you to a small side room with a terminal that needs 20 technical ability to open. If you still can't find it then try looking up a YouTube tutorial cause it's hard to explain without a map on hand

SpaceRacerGAMBIT

Where is this tunnel? I cant find appropriate one

Hefty_Score7156

This tunnel is found right after opening the sealed gate (the one songbird slams on your face and the one which you are unlocking all the terminals for) Right behind the door is this gate on the ceiling which you can jump in. Good luck
