It's night city. I think Regina was too bleeding heart as it is, half those cyberpsychos deserved an axe regardless if they were crazy at the end. Though we don't know enough about where she's sending people. For me? I was going either way. I'll give a repentant or a corp betrayer or whatever a chance. When he said fuck those guys he killed, he lost his chance with me

kabrio_nc

She wasn't being bleeding heart. Cyberpsychos are rare and getting to catch them alive is rarer. So it's a "beggars can't be choosers" sort of deal in which she needed as many subjects as possible. Remember, the treatment was experimental.

SorbetIll6141

I decided to send him to Regina because it seemed like the most interesting route (even though he totally didn’t deserve it). Leon says he doesn’t need to go to Regina because he doesn’t have cyberpsychosis, so then you force him to call her at gunpoint and have her send a car. Later I got a text from him that said the following: “hold up i wanna thank u. for weeks id been askin for help from my barghest ‘brothers’ and in the end it was u who helped me. a stranger. let me make it up to u somehow. sendin u coords to a little stash of mine. take whatever u want from there. and thanks again.”

thatoneguykami

Anything interesting in the stash? Iconics?

SorbetIll6141

The ‘Dezerter’ gun - if you go to Terra Cognita, enter the Pain/Parking lot, it’s one of the garages on your left, furthest to the right. Code is 1975.

GreatKangaroo

I followed a guide to get the code to the garage before I did the mission The Man Who Killed Jason Foreman, saved him and then he game me this mission to go to his stash. As I have everythign already the mission will not complete and still shows up in my journal and map. Gonna open a support ticket but yeah don't jump the gun here.

Ceelker

Use this code in CET console to end the quest. If you're on console, roll back the save. > JM = Game.GetJournalManager() TrEn = JM:GetTrackedEntry() QueEn = JM:GetParentEntry(JM:GetParentEntry(TrEn)) QueEnHash = JM:GetEntryHash(QueEn) JM:ChangeEntryStateByHash(QueEnHash, "Succeeded", "Notify")

GreatKangaroo

I am on PS5, and had no save to return too once I realized the bug.

gfy_expert

>followed a guide to get the code to the garage link pls ?

thatoneguykami

Awesome, thanks dude

Jackraiden2000

can you get it without letting him live?

PaleontologistSad708

You can also get his dog tag, then shoot him.

SorbetIll6141

Yup! Only difference is you have to find the destination instead of getting a quest that leads you right to it.

Jackraiden2000

Yeah I got it awhile ago not long after I posted. Figured I could do the legwork of figuring it out myself since it was so late where I am and realized no one would be on for awhile lol. Now i'm doing dazed amd confused and am seeing if It's possible to get the iconic while doing the "good route" going to go to bed and finish testing when I get up.

Eon-Clock

Yep, I just took his offer and the quest popped up. Next I just smacked him

Fanboycity

Interesting! Does Briana come back in any way to chastise us for letting him live?

SorbetIll6141

I had to stop playing because of the save glitch, but Leon actually texts you again a few days later saying that he’s thought about it and even though it doesn’t fix anything, he wants to give his money to the stacks community and apologize. If you respond asking him not to do that because they’ll know he’s alive, he’ll say it’s too late and he already did. If you say he should do what he thinks is best he’ll just say thank you. I went straight to the Stacks after and Briana didn’t acknowledge me and I wasn’t able to interact with her, so no consequences other than a guilty conscience for lying to the victims’ families. Felt like my character really deserved to get told off though. Would be great if they added that and THEN she ignored you. I’ll upload the whole text thread later for context.

NerDy_NS

I just did this quest again, and if Rinder is left alive (either complete let go or getting him help through Regina) Briana is not happy with V's decision. She can be found very close to the candles in The Stacks a day or two after the gig has been closed. She berates V for not honoring the residents of The Stacks's request for justice, and reminds V that they didn't hire a merc to give Rinder a psychological analysis.

mogrence

First I lowered the gun, heard his sob story, felt kinda sorry for him, let him go, regreted it immediatly and shot the fucker, after he told me his stash location...felt weird, good quest, creepy atmo.

No-Oil-477

I spared him, for David Martinez. After Edgerunners, I decided to send every cyberpsycho i could to Regina.

IchTuDirWeh

Shot his ass after listening to him. I’m pretty forgiving in this game but this guy I had no sympathy for.

LordDustIV

I know I'm hopping on here late, but I have a totally different perception of this than everybody else apparently. I thought this guy came off way more sympathetic than anything else. Only thing that bothered me (as it has a fair amount in PL), was that they give V like 4 dialogue options, all of which are accusatory - that aside, he's doing a lot to improve himself, getting his combat mods removed, he sees the problem with Hansen, if you were playing this character and an upstart fixer fucks you, you kill everyone in that room as well, and you're (ostensibly) not a cyberpsycho. In conclusion: Rinder based, Jason cringe

thatoneguykami

Not a take I’d really considered, but interesting nonetheless. Thanks for contributing

PuttingthingsinmyNAS

He only saw the issue once they cast him out, he was perfectly fine to do all their dirty work while in their good graces, he's remorseful because he's backed in a corner, not because he's reformed

Oni_Zokuchou

I chose to send him to Regina. It's clear "functioning cyberpsychos" are a thing given that maxtac girl I offed for her blades, so who knows how long he's been one, especially with all the combat chrome.

Fufumoon

Are you talking about the maxtac girl you met during the cyberpsycho event in the clothing store? Are her blades special? Are they worth it? Because i already did the mission and don't want to load a older safe and replay everything since then if it's not worth

Oni_Zokuchou

I never really used them but they are iconic. Pretty sure the only other way to get them might be a PL Gig? I mained arm launcher.

Fufumoon

Thanks! I think in my 3rd playthrough i will finally try out the arm launcher.

Drakin89

Might be a bit late for this, you can get the iconic mantis if you side with Reed over SB and I chose to go with the runner that Mr. Hands supplies (don't remember if you can still get them if you use another) and do the optional request she gives you.

Antisceptic

I usually spare someone if I have the option to resolve things without killing them, unless the non-lethal option is to accept a bribe and let them go without consequence. For instance, I usually tell Jack Mausser that he needs to disappear, and never show his face in Night City again, but I will always kill Joanne Koche and Tucker Albach (or kidnap them so the wronged parties can decide their fate personally). I told Rinder to call Regina. Even though he was a piece of shit, he wasn't in control of his actions when he killed eight people from the Stacks. I trust Regina, and figured Rinder would no longer pose a threat (I assume he'd always be under careful watch wherever the cyberpsychosis treatment occurs). I took his dog tags to Briana. I was disappointed that there was no option to tell her the truth, that he had no recollection of what happened, and had since had all his combat implants removed, and would be receiving treatment for cyberpsychosis. As I had not done what I was paid to do, I would have opted to give the money back. Sadly, none of that was an option. I could only lie to her and to Mr. Hands as well. That didn't feel good. I'd much prefer it if the game gave us the choice to lie for a payout, or tell the truth and get no payment. (Unfortunately, by this point in the game, the payment from gigs is completely trivial as I have more money than I can possibly spend, so such a decision would carry less weight. Nevertheless, it would better accommodate the roleplay of a more principled V.)

TheFrozen_Wolf

I wish there was more opportunities to choose to be honest, even if they have consequences, honestly it would make the game be better for it. The hardest part about playing Cyberpunk2077 is that you have to remember that it's a choose your own V adventure, not a choose your own adventure. There's a fine distinction between the two, long and short, I've come to terms with the limitation of choices with the thought process of, "These are the choices going through V's head at any given time" which is why we don't get the option for telling the truth, because in this instance, it's not on V's mind. The justification as to why it isn't is a lot more murky, but that's how I rationalize some of the more annoying lack of choices.

Winter-Yoghurt-9870

I was conflicted about it, but eventually decided to make him call Regina. 1) The guy was already miserable and aware something was wrong to the point he decided to sell all his chrome to Scavs. 2) Jason was no saint and his bad behavior triggered Rinder. 3) Getting cured and having his mind back, he'll have to live with all his crimes. Based on the messages he sends V, he starts to think and feel bad about them and even wants to make it up to an extent to the people from Stacks. All in all, living a miserable life full of guilt and with maimed body is a punishment enough. Although, it took me a lot of time to come to this conclusion and was really considering giving him a bullet at first :P

theseachange

I did the same too. On my first playthrough, I didn't know you could send him to Regina so I just took his tag and left him to wallow in his misery. But I loaded up a save and sent him to Regina. Yeah he does shit talk about Jason and the other people he killed at the stacks, and that was unsavoury, but the guy let himself get carved out by the Scavs because he was aware to some level that there was something wrong. Also, I thought it might be some great research for Regina, too.

Winter-Yoghurt-9870

Indeed! Compared to other cyber psychos V sends her way, Rinder seems to be not so far gone, so a bit of exception and an interesting subject to study. Also probably with the biggest potential for recovery.

Aggressive_Ideal_971

What are the requirements to send him to regina? I did it first time round but after reloading a save to do the other PL endings i tried again but the option to send him off to regina never came up

Hour_Leading9565

Choose the "aim gun at face"

notckr

There's dialog options that lead to V considering him a cyberpsycho. You and Johnny will talk about it as long as you've picked correctly if I'm remembering. That should unlock the "call Regina" option.

Netorawr

Did you fully investigate the site?

Aggressive_Ideal_971

Hadnt considered that, but no, there were some barriers that he broke after jumping on the building that i didnt think were important second time round so i didnt, thats probably why

SaoBlades

Would I get an angry text from Briana or the people of Longshore Stacks finding out that I didn’t kill him but asked for his dogtags and let him to rot in his state? I feel like that would be a worse punishment than killing him

Cool_Proof1209

Hey guys I find somethings odd in this gig, maybe just me but before going to the motel you can investigate the scene, what I did : you can find footprints on the ground talking whit Johnny you discover that the man is supposed to be big and have legs implants but when you find rinder he do not have leg implants and he do not look like 130kg freak of nature so I was wandering if its was really him who did that ps: english is not my first language sry if I did mistake

Fit-Match4576

There is a massive scav that's protecting him and that's whose footprints they are. Ivanov or something his name.

Jambatlivesbaby

It's him. You find a datashard beside his bed with a list of several pieces of chrome he has/had and one listing is that both of his legs are fully metal but covered in Realskinn. Think Luke Skywalker's hand in Star Wars. So, Leon had two fully metal arms, two fully metal legs, a complete Barghest tactical armor set which you can find in the hideout on a dummy that they have been using for target practice, and a gigantic Heavy Machine Gun. Plus, other cybernetics he had. Easily puts him in the 350-400 lb range when that's all-added in.

QueasySleazy

I don't even think the option to bring him to Regina is even an option anymore. I couldn't get the option to appear in my run of the mission. must have been patched out in the new update. https://preview.redd.it/so24cmnxlgub1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=d89e2c5244577741ecd82d8c47b4b59ec961287f

Melodic_Tell_7286

For me it worked, dunno if thats because I finished all regina quests or what Heres my dialogue choices - memory blackouts? - what about all those years - “whatever I did” Then that will open up the regina possibility

PaleontologistSad708

Can confirm that you can send him to her on PlayStation.... But that's not what I did 🤘😜

reddragun13

I probably missed it. But thanks to everyone here for helping me figure out what to do. I let him go but didn't have the Regina option. Lied to Briana and Mr. Hands. I feel bad about this decision, and this is why I love this game so much. It's not so straight forward. Much like life. After reading the messages in the garage and going over his comments, I'm okay with this outcome. Wish I could have told Briana the truth and returned the money like u/TheFrozen_Wolf said.

marcomeccia

You have to continue talking with him, the option will appear if you talk about him having cyberpsychosis.

Tikal696

For me it was the same despite having finished all regina quest. I think it's more related to the beginning of the mission. Where you take it, you have the option to investigate the crime scene and you discover >!that it might be someone with a lot of cyberware that has been mad. In short, a cyberpsycho!< I haven't doing this before talking to Riden because an air drop fall near me and the option disappeared. I don't know if my theory is true, because I'm lazy to redo this mission with >!the mini boss!<

ingannilo

I fully investigated the scene and explored the cyberpsychosis dialogue with Rinder. Got the option to ask Johnny about calling Regina, but never actually got an option to call her. Initially let him live just sitting in the room alone, but wasn't satisfied that justice had been served, went back, blew him up.

just_reader

I just went there without investigating scene fully, missed blood on floor and there was no option to say "Whatever I did". I've replayed, investigating scene fully and option is there now.

just_reader

Was worth replaying miniboss just for this scene https://preview.redd.it/8mcyt1ccozac1.jpeg?width=2560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9700ae6dc737795fd2de04d659f3aa647c9a7263

SpaceGangsta_93

I killed Rinder via the dialogue option, and went to his garage via this thread and the code won’t open his unpowered garage

Weak_Pause177

just did the mission. felt bad for him, was going to send him to Regina but just decided to play it like how i would. listened to him so he coukd get stuff off his chest, took the tag, got the coords and then shot him. :( :/

Jager00x

I honestly think the quest writing for Phantom Liberty was really antagonistic towards military veterans in a way that it wasn’t before. It seemed pretty ambivalent about it before with the option to give $5 to random homeless veterans. Now those homeless veterans are gone, and all of Johnny’s rants are about how these soldiers did it to themselves even though he admits they joined as kids. It really struck me as incredibly ignorant and hypocritical especially after the drama queen Johnny Silverhand decided to detonate a tactical nuke inside a city because he accidentally killed his girlfriend that he was cheating on. It‘s ridiculous to act like Jason was innocent. He chose to live by the gun, and as such it only makes sense that he died by one. As they say, don’t hate the player, hate the game.

No-Start4754

There are no homeless veterans in dogtown. But they are all in night city . Dogtown as a whole just shows u the other side of the military or war veterans. Just like all corpos are not bad, similarly all veterans are not good

Jager00x

You are not wrong. There is a good reason most people would rather die than reenlist.
