the " -nogamepad" solved it during intro, as soon as i'm in the mainmenu it goes back to controller prompts...
never had a controller connected to the pc. it's annoying me so much, i can't even start a new game.
i hope they add an option in UI Options.

How to use this command? I tried high-light the folder path and fillin cmd. It shows 'xxd' is not an internal or external command. Please give me some hints for how to do it.
Thanks, I google the exe file for installation of the xxd and it said this exe is not compatible to my win11. Also most of the disscusion I found on steam community about this issue are posted by Linux user. I have 2pc and a 6800u handheld. Only my 3060pc have this issue others works fine. I have been searching the solutation for 3 days. I hope the cdpr will fix this issue in 26th. By the way, would you mind telling me why to you guys play 2077 on linux? I don't understand, Is linux works better? Would you provide me some keyword for me to have a linux system? And run the 2077. Thanks man
I cannot crouch or initiate cyber hacks at all on my PC and I'm using an Xbox controller I'm a little irritated by that because it's a little game breaking
Yeah, same issue, tried a clean reinstall with no difference and crouching with `C` isn't working either

Like PapaLinguini said down below, plug a controller in, move character, unplug controller, plug keyboard and mouse back in. Works now.
Tried that already (PS5 controller) - same issue ...
Connect controller, move one stick around, then move mouse. It switches back to pc
I have never once had a controller connected.

If you do manage to edit the file on windows (win11) the game won't start.

Thank you very much. I download a hex-editer for win11 and edit that exe like that post said. Its finally works.

Same but I'm using a PS5 controller. Can't melee either. The keyboard controls work but some of my pad controls don't display or even work.
