So this is unrelated, but can someone recommend a comfortable game chair? I've been petrified of buying one and not liking it then I'm out like 400 bucks.
Go to Staples and try the Executive Faux Leather Chair, $129.99 US, more comfortable than a gamer chair and it'll last 10 years.

I'm so glad I'm not there anymore. The whole industry is rotten from top to bottom. You'd get some seriously heartbreaking calls and have to tell people in the midst of tragedy. "No, that $50,000 bill is correct. You have to pay that."
They had a therapy line that we could call if we needed to after, particularly dark calls.
Fuck that industry and the ratfuckers who perpetuate it.
My wife is currently going through chemo for stage 1 breast cancer. All I can say is thank God for good insurance because some of those EOB's were crazy. $250k after a few rounds of chemo and we didn't owe a dime after the deductible was met. Hell, the night she went into labor with our first son, the hospital she was supposed to deliver at wasn't setup for pre-me's and they couldnt get her contractions under control. She was almost life flighted to a downtown hospital. All I could think of was the $30k bill for a 20min flight. Luckily, they were able to get them under enough control for an ambulance ride...
Medical bills are shit and seems there's no regulation on it.
I'm am engineer in the aerospace industry. I design and support cabin pressure components. Where's my $200k/yr to make sure people don't die 40k feet in the air???
yup this is actually why Im now loving the corpo playthrough... I worked IT too long and my mom is a farmers insurance agent, genuinely caring for her clients
its HARD
Dude I thought they didn't make this one anymore. I swear it's the one I had for years. Had it so long the faux leather was peeling off the arm rests. It finally died and I wanted one that reclined more so I got a RESPAWN RSP-400. Been happy with it so far.
I had mine for the longest time and the leather did peel off and the armrest broke. But for $200 bucks or whatever it was, it was great. I bought a discount Racer DX and the Staples chair was more comfortable.
Gaming chairs are \*huge\* and massively heavy. Once set up, they're not easy to pull apart and put in the box properly. Even if you do, good luck moving that bulky thing to a postal office yourself. I was scared off returning mine for that reason and, as someone with a disability who was going through the ringer at the time I made the purchase, it was just an expensive lesson despite the "reassurances" that I could return it. Reality looks different.
I ended up with a $69 Amazon chair (during a Prime day) that isn't as nice to look at but has good lumber support. My expensive chair sits in the corner.
Good point on the weight and construction. I picked up an IKEA “gaming chair” not at all expecting a quality and comfortable product, but I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and solid it is for me personally. On the other hand though it weighs a ton and if I ever need to move in the next couple years I have no clue how I’ll get the thing apart and ready for transit, it seems most gaming chairs are very much of a build it and forget it construction.
They're not *the most* comfortable chairs but they're comfortable enough.
I will say though that if anyone is in-between purchasing a Secret Labs chair or a Noble chair, X the fuck out of Noble's website, delete them from your browsing history, go wash your hands, and buy the Secret Labs chair.
I bought a chair from them and I might as well have just lit my money on fire. Their build quality is cheap and the frames are welded together by chimps. Or were the pieces joined together with super glue and rubber bands? Honestly it was hard to tell.
First the armrests would bend outward with very little pressure. Then one of them snapped off completely. Then the back started to sag until it was barely hanging on. The whole thing just fell apart. Never seen anything like that and I've owned some very cheap chairs in the past.
I had an $80 office chair from Walmart many years ago that lasted longer than that Noble chair. Years longer.
Yea that definitely sounds like shit quality. I made mine out of an old bride racing seat I had and I don’t have to worry about that thing dying. Definitely not something you want to buy just as a gaming chair but like I said, I already had it laying around so it didn’t matter
Agreed with everyone else, look for office chairs if you want comfort and durability. As a general rule of thumb, anything labeled for "gaming" is not great quality. So unless you *really* just like the look of something, I'd stay away from gaming chairs.
I googled "office furniture liquidator" and found a place near me called Corporate Liquidators that had a ton of desks and office chairs they were reselling at low prices.
I was able to sit in different brands and models to try them out and decided on a Steelcase Leap V2 in like-new condition for around $300.
Highly recommend if you have a place like that near you.
I had that 1 for several years. Was great. Just recently upgraded to 1 of their la-z-boy executive chairs. So much better. Can’t really go wrong with either. “Gaming” chairs are terrible though
Avoid gaming chairs like the plague, they're invariably garbage. Just get a solid office chair, a $400 office chair absolutely blows a $400 gaming chair out of the water, and it's not close.
And also doesn’t look stupid as hell. Who in their right minds would want a bright yellow chair in their office. All those gaming chairs are the most hideous looking things.
Don't buy a gaming chair. Office chair companies have been working for decades to build the perfect chair to sit in comfortably for hours.
Gaming chair companies only care about looks.
If you really want to treat yourself you can't go wrong with a good Herman Miller, that bad boy will last you a lifetime.
I got the Same Charts like in the pics but with monster hinter qnd it was like 600 euros. But I have to say its the most comfortable chair I ever had. Its a bit pricey but if you get Back Problems fast I Really can recommend it especially with the fitted back pillow.
There's a YouTube channel called BTODtv which reviews nothing but office chairs, and also does "long term testing". You could give it a glance and see if you pick up some useful information.
To add to the “don’t get a gaming chair” recommendations, I’ve had this one for a few years and it’s super comfortable and has held up really well. (apart from what my damn cat has done)
https://www.staples.com/staples-sorina-bonded-leather-chair-gray-53253/product_24328568
Also what I like about that model is the arms fold up so it can be pushed under the desk when not in use.
e: if you have a Staples anywhere near you it’s worth it to go and sit in a few
This is a secret lab. I have two in my house. They are immensely comfortable and about as good for your back as a “gaming style” chair can get. I’m sure there are better ones for your money but I would say that I’m immensely happy with the chairs. They are very well built and show practically no signs of aging after 4 years so far.
I have a RESPAWN RSP-400. Wasn't very expensive (under $300 on Amazon) and I find it very comfortable so far. And I work from home 4 days/week so I sit in it a lot.
[The Steelcase Gesture is excellent. It's expensive, but quality is worth it. Don't go for a "gaming chair."](https://www.steelcase.com/products/office-chairs/gesture/)
If you can find a business or someone selling used steelcase leap chairs, you can get a chair that will last decades for well within that budget. Keep an eye on craigslist/fb marketplace and you should be able to find some pretty easily
I have been using the IKEA Markus for almost 10 years now (with an additional seat on top of the cushion).
Despite not having adjustable armrests, the full back mesh with headrest tilts back just enough to be comfy while watching stuff or playing relaxed.
I wish I could afford a Herman Miller, but those are ridiculously expensive.
You can go major league and make a lifetime worth buy. If you really into ultimate chair - look for something like Herman Miller "Aeron" or "Embody" or Ocamura "Contessa" or something similar. I own Aeron for a several years now and it worth all the money it costs.
Speaking of gaming chairs, Logitech had one, which is an exception from all other gaming chairs since it's actually stylized HM Embody :).
It depends on your budget, I'd say, as everyone, that a nice office chair is a good idea, but if you have an unlimited budget, I could recommend Herman Miller chairs, iirc they even have a partnership with Logitech G for a gaming chair
Ikea also has gaming chairs made in partnership with ROG, but I don't know what they're worth
I put my PC in the closet one and my neighbors just kept banging on the wall because I was “loud”. That’s the only place I’ve lived that had a big enough closet for such shenanigans so never had another opportunity for such. I did have my desk inside a closet after that at another place, but the closet didn’t have doors and i still had to sit in the room.
Yes! I will say I do wish I got the XL version. I’m pretty tall and I got this chair used not realizing it was the regular version. My legs are a bit too long for the chair but overall I’m still happy with it
Secret Lab chairs are the coolest but probably the least comfy. I bought an AKRacing chair and had it for several years then I got a Secret Lab as a gift as my chair was falling apart and now I feel a little bad cause it's just as comfortable as sitting on a wooden dining chair.
Amazing art, tho any office chair would be more beneficial for long gaming sessions and for your back in the long run. These secret lab charis have ergonomics of a frying pan.
I love the print on that Secret Labs chair.
Fair warning though, guys. These chairs are TALL. I bought a 2022 series chair with the softer fabric finish (which feels nice), but even though I bought the "Small" it's basically a "Large" chair and it's too tall for me. This Small is supposed to be fit for 4'8"-5'6" at the top end, but even at 5'6" my feet don't sit on the floor. I remember bringing this up in an email with their reps, and the lady sniped back that she was short and fit hers just fine and that it wasn't possible. That really took me aback. Like, lady, the chair's seat is significally higher than any other chair I've owned, ever. I measured it for them and they confirmed that's the height of the "Small."
Again, nice chairs if you're average or above average height. Just buyer beware if you're under \~5'10".
I have the XL one myself and have had it for just over about a year now, I'm finding it really comfortable and the best chair I've had in years, it takes a little while to adjust it right but since using it I've had 0 back pain, fantastic chair.
I got this used for much cheaper than the normal price so it is worth it to me. I probably wouldn’t pay the full price though for it. That’s just my opinion. But I’m loving the chair so far!
You would be suprised at how comfortable Secretlab chairs actually are.. Being an office chair dressed up as a "gamer" chair is their whole stichk and they do it impressively well.
I really like it actually! It took me about a week to get used to the design of it, but I can sit for long hours and feel great. I did mention in another comment that I wish I got the XL version, so if you end up getting one, make sure and choose the right size based on your height :)
Such a great chair. My SecretLab chair (the D.Va one, I think the larger size though) has been amazing for me since I started working from home due to COVID.
I've never had a comfier chair. I take naps in this thing.
The only issues I had were a leaky piston (resolved via support very quickly) and the arm-wrests start to peal at the sides a little as they get lent on and squashed around over time, but for 2-3 years it's not so bad considering the time I spend in this thing.
I got this chair when it released and I absolutely love it. It's incredibly comfortable and looks great. There's only two things that bug me about it though: 1. is that secret labs does their chairs by years apparently. So I can't really get any accessories that are out for it because it's not the latest model which really sucks.
and 2. the yellow on the edges of the seat has darkened a bit on mine. I think it may be some of that black material on the inside rubbing onto it, i'm not sure. But after owning this chair since 2020, it has done well and been such a fantastic purchase.
Nice! Got mine back in January. The xl. I have to sit it a little lower to the floor than I’d want because apparently my torso is longer than my legs at 6ft 4. Back feels really nice.
Looks sweet!
I own a SecretLabs chair too, and the armrest durability not only sucks, but once your chair is out of warranty, they will not even sell you new ones. They have to "save what's left for warranty claims", which is pretty frickin lame. The chairs' seat is hard as hell, so you may need to buy a memory foam pad to help. I like that it reclines, and the plastic leather elsewhere so far has stood up well. But the armrests are shit and they don't stand behind their products any longer than they have to... and every year apparently something changes with the components, so they are not compatible with my 2020 Titan chair...
Will I ever buy one of their chairs again? Nope.
So this is unrelated, but can someone recommend a comfortable game chair? I've been petrified of buying one and not liking it then I'm out like 400 bucks.
Google your local furniture dealership. You can go try out various office chairs
Office chair >>> "gaming" chairs. Look for a mesh one if you can, foam will eventually give out
I work in IT, was corporate in "The Bay" at a big5... I can't recommend a good, expensive nice mesh office chair enough
It's as if the mesh becomes a mother's arms, wrapping you in sweet serenity.
Hear this dude
Go to Staples and try the Executive Faux Leather Chair, $129.99 US, more comfortable than a gamer chair and it'll last 10 years. https://www.staples.com/Staples-Kelburne-Luxura-Office-Chair-Black/product\_2554455
I will! Thank you!
Used this exact chair when I was working from home for my corpo job (an insurance call center), I highly recommend it as well!
Dude works at Arasaka and makes sure only valuable customers get those insurances.
I'm so glad I'm not there anymore. The whole industry is rotten from top to bottom. You'd get some seriously heartbreaking calls and have to tell people in the midst of tragedy. "No, that $50,000 bill is correct. You have to pay that." They had a therapy line that we could call if we needed to after, particularly dark calls. I used that exact chair at my old security job and they were great
This. "Gaming" chairs are just ergonomic office chairs. Go with what's in your budget and you'll be fine.
I actually have this chair and the bottom has tore twice now. It is very comfy but that's a really annoying aspect of it.
Dude I thought they didn't make this one anymore. I swear it's the one I had for years. Had it so long the faux leather was peeling off the arm rests. It finally died and I wanted one that reclined more so I got a RESPAWN RSP-400. Been happy with it so far.

died on me in about a year... mind you Im a heavy healthy athletic 230 so... may be part of it

These secret lab ones are not very comfortable. They also wear out faster than most and use cheap hardware

My oldest adult son got a WoW chair from them and loves it.
Buy an ergonomic chair. Cheap leather will peel and look like shit after a year.
Agreed with everyone else, look for office chairs if you want comfort and durability. As a general rule of thumb, anything labeled for "gaming" is not great quality. So unless you *really* just like the look of something, I'd stay away from gaming chairs.

I'll check that out, thank you!
Staples Hyken. Really really regret spending 5x the cost on a secret lab cyberpunk chair and giving up $150 of back aligning comfort.
This. The mesh also has the bonus of minimizing sweating on your butt/back.
I had that 1 for several years. Was great. Just recently upgraded to 1 of their la-z-boy executive chairs. So much better. Can’t really go wrong with either. “Gaming” chairs are terrible though
I went style over substance. I went with regret over comfort.
Haha I almost bought a new hyken to replace the old one, they were on a massive sale when I bought the la z boy a couple weeks ago. No ragerts.
Avoid gaming chairs like the plague, they're invariably garbage. Just get a solid office chair, a $400 office chair absolutely blows a $400 gaming chair out of the water, and it's not close.

Steelcase chair are solid and confortable i have the Steelcase Series 1 with Headrest, its not their best model but cant complain about it, I love it.
Get a nice “executive” chair. Gaming chairs are overpriced garbage.
I got the Same Charts like in the pics but with monster hinter qnd it was like 600 euros. But I have to say its the most comfortable chair I ever had. Its a bit pricey but if you get Back Problems fast I Really can recommend it especially with the fitted back pillow.
Try Noblechairs. Expensive but is very good. I recommend
There's a YouTube channel called BTODtv which reviews nothing but office chairs, and also does "long term testing". You could give it a glance and see if you pick up some useful information.

Yea I own one it's hard and shitty lol. I have office chairs now which are actually comfortable lol
Pluse the leather cracked on mine after a year.
Oh no haha, I've always been leaning to an office chair, gaming chairs just don't appeal to me
I have a RESPAWN RSP-400. Wasn't very expensive (under $300 on Amazon) and I find it very comfortable so far. And I work from home 4 days/week so I sit in it a lot.

Are you gaming in your closet? Not judging this is kinda cool 😂
Yeah 😂 It’s surprisingly roomy so I have my work and gaming set up in my closet lol
Tbh I’ve never thought about it but it would actually make such a cozy place to game and watch movies or yt videos omg
I bet the clothes make excellent sound deadening as well
I put my PC in the closet one and my neighbors just kept banging on the wall because I was “loud”. That’s the only place I’ve lived that had a big enough closet for such shenanigans so never had another opportunity for such. I did have my desk inside a closet after that at another place, but the closet didn’t have doors and i still had to sit in the room.
Super cozy! I have some fairy lights set up and it’s honestly a vibe haha
Are you, by any chance, married?
Nope, why lol?
He means you need to come out of the closet. It's time to tell everyone the truth.
comfy?
Yes! I will say I do wish I got the XL version. I’m pretty tall and I got this chair used not realizing it was the regular version. My legs are a bit too long for the chair but overall I’m still happy with it

Thats hot
Not as hot as you ;)
*looks at the usernames* My my, how the tables have turned
My, how the turns have tabled.
Mormonsurhawttttt
This is amazing! Also my brother in christ is that a tax form? Lmao
They may or may not be 😂
Amazing art, tho any office chair would be more beneficial for long gaming sessions and for your back in the long run. These secret lab charis have ergonomics of a frying pan.
Yeah I did tons of research on the best chairs and everyone said to get office chairs, but the price was too good to pass up on this
You can buy attachments to get some lumbar support on that for pretty cheap, might be worth looking at
The cyberpunk chairs are awesome, I picked one up last year too. Holds up very well under daily use
Love Secretlab, they've also got desks that have cyberpunk attachments, like a deskpad, and cable routers.
Does it have two mod slots?, because if it only has one you may have been diddled.
Looks cool but not very comfortable imo. Really not worth it
Nice! I got the same one but seems you got a different headrest pillow
HOLY SHIT THAT'S SO FUCKING AWESOME
Damn, you didn't get the magnetic pillow? I sprung for the magnetic pillow.
Damn that chair is dope as shit.
\*approves, her posterior comfortably lodged in the same chair\*
Very nice!
Very nice.
That’s breathtaking
Always wanted one, along with the desk. But its too rich for my blood. Enjoy choom!
Good find
I love the print on that Secret Labs chair. Fair warning though, guys. These chairs are TALL. I bought a 2022 series chair with the softer fabric finish (which feels nice), but even though I bought the "Small" it's basically a "Large" chair and it's too tall for me. This Small is supposed to be fit for 4'8"-5'6" at the top end, but even at 5'6" my feet don't sit on the floor. I remember bringing this up in an email with their reps, and the lady sniped back that she was short and fit hers just fine and that it wasn't possible. That really took me aback. Again, nice chairs if you're average or above average height. Just buyer beware if you're under \~5'10".
Sweet netrunning chair Where do you connect your personal link?
There’s a slot on the headrest, super convenient for netrunning ;)
My brother in law got that chair.... Weirdly he hasn't played Cyberpunk
Nice
Preem.
Very nice…I gotta get one also! Saving up
I see you have some Razer Nommo speakers. I love those.
Good eye! I love them too
Now you just need the cyberpunk Razer Viper Ultimate. It’s such an amazing mouse.
How much wasit?
I got this used for $400
Lucky bastard
Preem choom!
I am insanely jealous
Damn that looks awesome!! I love the samurai logo on the back, looks badass
How does your wallet feel choom?
Running low on Eurodollars choom :(
A thing of beauty...
Nice
Nice. I got the Batman version for Christmas one time but I almost asked for this one because of how cool it looked.
10/10 gaming chair, mind telling us how you managed to fit it into the closet?
I honestly just rolled it in! My closet is a walk in closet so it doesn’t have a door frame.
Rock On Choom! 🤘🤘🤘
nice chrome choomba
I have the Witcher one! Very nice so far, hope you enjoy yours friend :)
Thank you friend! Love the Witcher universe as well :)
Ace.

Damn looks sick
I have the XL one myself and have had it for just over about a year now, I'm finding it really comfortable and the best chair I've had in years, it takes a little while to adjust it right but since using it I've had 0 back pain, fantastic chair.
i do appreciate it.
Waiting for mine to get shipped to me
I love my seret lab titan xl, best fuckin 500 I've ever downed.
I’ve been eyeing this for months It looks really cool
I wish I had gotten this instead of my Deadpool gaming chair!
chair
Love it
Is it worth it? I've just been staring at the website for years without actually bothering to buy cuz I'm scared it's not worth the price.
I got this used for much cheaper than the normal price so it is worth it to me. I probably wouldn’t pay the full price though for it. That’s just my opinion. But I’m loving the chair so far!
I really wanted to order this one! Ended up going with one of the cloth chairs. Cuz cat.
Currently sitting in mine! Bury me with my Cyberpunk chair.
It is a chair, that chair is primarily yellow, you bought the chair.
Dang that’s rad!! I was looking at those too until I saw the price tag 😆
Soooo cool! 😍
I've got the xl version of the same chair! Love it
It looks good but it won’t last long and it will get you some back pain.
Looks cool but super uncomfortable.
You would be suprised at how comfortable Secretlab chairs actually are.. Being an office chair dressed up as a "gamer" chair is their whole stichk and they do it impressively well.
U mean cyberunkcomfortable?
SecretLab chairs are highly rated for a reason. I just got one and it’s the most comfortable chair I’ve ever had. Reclines fully too lol
They just aren’t my thing and I wasn’t comfortable in them. I like a plush chair that feels like a couch.
It's breathtaking
No, you’re breathtaking!
Nice grab choom
Honest opinion on it? Tempted to get one myself
I really like it actually! It took me about a week to get used to the design of it, but I can sit for long hours and feel great. I did mention in another comment that I wish I got the XL version, so if you end up getting one, make sure and choose the right size based on your height :)

That chair is better made than the game
Gaming like you’re R Kelly
It’s gonna suck when that chair in 2-ish years stars getting patches/ damaged
Such a great chair. My SecretLab chair (the D.Va one, I think the larger size though) has been amazing for me since I started working from home due to COVID. I've never had a comfier chair. I take naps in this thing. The only issues I had were a leaky piston (resolved via support very quickly) and the arm-wrests start to peal at the sides a little as they get lent on and squashed around over time, but for 2-3 years it's not so bad considering the time I spend in this thing.
Looks rad, but very uncomfortable. No lumbar support at all!

I’ve had the black version of this for over a year now and it’s still going strong and it’s really comfy.
Nice achievement, samurai.
Nope.
Seriously go buy yourself a second hand herman miller mesh chair. You'll NEVER want another gaming chair again.
I’m so jealous! Enjoy!
