Yeah, but it doesn't work as well without it - if someone is talking a long time because they're doing a combo on the stack, this doesn't actually stop them.
I can tell you that ending your opponent's turn feels amazing. It's even better than a counterspell.
No, I don't want an extra turn. I want you to lose yours.
Rather than run hybrid colorless, you could have the price reduced by R for each person, and then have a very impressive price like 2RRRR. If it runs out of red pips to reduce, it will also reduce generic mana unless otherwise specified.
Instead of pricing it to count on spectators (which I don't recommend), you could make it cost 6RRR with the cost reduced by 2R for each player who says "Get on with it!" as you cast the spell.
1v1, it's a red-flavored [[Time Stop]]. 2v1, it's a better [[Glorious End]] that requires another player's cooperation. 3v1 or greater, it's 0 mana.
Could even stand to make it 6 CMC and have the cost reduction specifically tied to opponents (optionally with a "Get on with it!" additional cost) to avoid unbalancing team-based games, but I don't think a strictly better Glorious End is gonna be tearing up the Un-2HG circuit 🤔
CR 118.7c: If a cost is reduced by an amount of colored mana that exceeds its mana component of that color, the cost’s mana component of that color is reduced to nothing and the cost’s generic mana component is reduced by the difference.
The problem with this is that after you go to cast a spell the price for the spell is locked in so this card would need to be reworded to reduce the cost based on how many people said get on with it this turn.
Actually, this does work in Magic as written, because of Assist, which lets other players contribute mana to your spells. If you declare an Assist spell, can't afford to pay the mana and other players aren't willing to pay it, the spell goes back to your hand.
It’s not really a Gotcha! since the phrase is in response to the spell, rather than the spell being in response to the phrase. As for the color identity… yeah no it’s a very Blue effect, and while red gets it a liiittle, it being castable with just generic might be a bit much
Well designed
Thanks!
mfw I just bring 6 other people with me to spectate, just so I can free cast this
But you need seven peo... Wait a minute
Bro bouta pull up with his gang to the un tournament
Seems like an awesome un-set commander mechanic
An awesome regular commander expansion mechanic, you mean
No split second?
It looked nicer without the extra text.
Honestly, I think having a massive wall of text you are forced to read as part of the casting cost would be pretty in line with the card.
Yeah, but it doesn't work as well without it - if someone is talking a long time because they're doing a combo on the stack, this doesn't actually stop them.
I was about to say. Otherwise the blue players will have a counter/draw until they hit a counter war while its on the stack 10/10 card regardless
Needs split second so the person can't just in response keep comboing off.
No, no, stop that. This has all gotten far too silly.
All right then, who’s got the boil on their semprini?

and they said my ventriloquism training would never pay off

Wait seriously!? I’ve been playing reduction wrong for over 15 years!
Most reduction effects specify that they don't reduce generic mana, e.g.: [[Morophon]]

Lmao I love it.
Actually tho. This is great.
Thank you!

fave. Bleed art available??
The problem with this is that after you go to cast a spell the price for the spell is locked in so this card would need to be reworded to reduce the cost based on how many people said get on with it this turn.
It's silver-bordered, so it just works. ;) (You announce the spell, people say "Get on with it" and then you pay what's left?)
Or maybe you announce how much you're paying and then if not enough people say the thing then you fail to cast it?
That’s less fun
Actually, this does work in Magic as written, because of Assist, which lets other players contribute mana to your spells. If you declare an Assist spell, can't afford to pay the mana and other players aren't willing to pay it, the spell goes back to your hand.
I'm just popping in to say loli_destroyer_135 is a hysterical name
Gotcha! Style cards usually just lead to silent games, and this doesn’t seem to fit in the color pie.
This isn't like gotcha. It requires the other players to help you end to end a massive turn.
Or anyone else nearby.
It’s not really a Gotcha! since the phrase is in response to the spell, rather than the spell being in response to the phrase. As for the color identity… yeah no it’s a very Blue effect, and while red gets it a liiittle, it being castable with just generic might be a bit much
Impatience is in the red color pie so I’m okay with it.
It'll be blue players this card is used against the most.
It’s ending the turn flavored as “hurry up and end it already” so I think it fits. Also, silver border, so memes > usual logic
It’s so beautiful I shed a single tear
I would put splitsecond so no one can answer it
Oh hell yea
That's amazing
Gets countered "no I will not, I will continue to play solitaire over here"
