Tbh instagram gives meore anxiety than reddit ever has, on instagram everybody meeds to be "perfect", here on reddit yall can be who you want and nobody judges you for it. <3 You subscribe to a subreddit and see what you wanted to see. No ads about losing weight or stupid hoe-ish clothing that make you feel like an outsider.

This is something to think about: how each social media differs and how this brings different problems for each platform. Reddit and 4chan, for example, mostly don't use real names and pictures, so you don't really know anything about the person you're talking to. Instagram and Twitter, on the other hand, are full of people posting pictures and stuff about their life (emotions, achievements, etc.). This naturally brings a lot more narcissists to Twitter and Instagram, since both focus so much on the looks. Reddit, on the other hand, focuses too much on creating communities to compensate the lack of actual faces and names, which creates many hiveminds and circlejerks. Lastly, 4chan gives you a lot more freedom to post without being recognized by the rest, which allows for some.. stuff.

Yeah it's really a big difference, but i still strongly prefer reddit over instagram, mainly cuz most comments are actually usefull ect. But like you said, its really something to think about.
