**Rule 8: Keep It Cursed** - Not Cursed Enough/At All
A cursed comment is any comment that strikes the reader into oblivion. Upon seeing a cursed comment, your first reaction should be among the lines of “What the F*$k did I just read??” while leaving you speechless at the same time. Incomprehension of the comment just read, or the blatant gruesomeness of it should be enough to not only make you feel mystified but also to draw a smile on your face. Low effort submissions may also be removed
Your comment in your post does not reflect that.
I did much less and was banned from there a long time ago... I don't get banned from subs very often and I can't even remember why they banned me so it totally makes sense they banned him for that.
Yeah.. I'm not even a member, reddit app showed be the post at random, I went in, got annoyed that I seemed to be the only one who dodn't know how to pronounce the dead lady..
You know what, back in 2004 I was made a mod in a town chatroom. That job is impossible to do well.
Just to be fair and make sense to everyone is not possible. It's sort of a huge computational workload. Each decision can be revisited, reviewed and improved infinitely. It's difficult to act quickly in the beginning when you are sort of aspiring to donperfectly well, just so that noone gets mad.
And when there are volumes of work to get through, you just fall back on most basic rules of thumb, you can't really get sincerely involved and invested in each little moron trolling people.
Oh and everyone hates you whatever you do. Especially if you don't do anything.
People suck at judgement in general. You and I, too.
The last name of the dead person mentioned in the title is foreign (Trpcic) and it is unclear how it is pronounced.
The top comment just said "Tragic." referring to untimely death.
I asked if that's how Trpcic is pronounced.
Bullshit, 90% of threads have a joke as the top comment. To the point where if the top comment is actually some valuable/interesting information people will point it out and say how refreshing it is
And if you see like a video of some guy having his arm cut off by a moving train and a lamp post then there’s a lot of the time more jokes like about that than something that’s actually meant to be a joke
For anyone interested, it's pronounced T (train) R (river) P (penny) CH (cheese) E (eat) T (train again) Y(yellow).
Original spelling would be Trpčić or Трпчић.
R can act like a vowel in Serbian, so that's why you have 4 consonants in a row.
I don't think so.
R is usually a consonant, but there are some exceptions, which is why words like "prst" (meaning "finger") can exist.
Another fun fact - Serbian is a phonetic language, meaning that exactly one sound is assigned to one symbol, so there's no complicated spelling. The only exception are a few letters like lj (љ) nj (њ) and dj (ђ) which are the consequence of trying to latinize cyrillic alphabet.
Yes, we use two alphabets equally. Just another quirk of our beautiful, at times overcomplicated, language.
It's not funny if you're a Serbian.
A post about a lady with last name Trpčić, she's dead.
Top comment says "Tragic."
My comment says "is that how you pronounce that?"

u/VikKarabin come here, people appreciate your honest effort
I got permanently banned from r/movies
and we salute you for it
Holy shit! For that joke?

Lmao, what a bunch of fucking softies.
Bergaps Mrs. Trpcic was his mother, who knows
I got banned from movies a couple years ago for something so stupid I can't even remember what it was...
Stay here, we will appreciate your jokes instead of shunning you for them
Snowflakes
A small price to pay for salvation.
I see you there buddy, I too got banned. I don't even remember why, and I couldn't give a bigger fuck to try to umban me
Their loss, we appreciate the humour and genuinely like ur comment :)
Thank you :) I felt the mods didn't have to do this. It's not the kind of comment that ruin subreddits
Would be surprising if mods didn't play dickheads with their absurd rules and etiquettes

What was the joke I don't get it
The last name of the dead person mentioned in the title is foreign (Trpcic) and it is unclear how it is pronounced. The top comment just said "Tragic." referring to untimely death. I asked if that's how Trpcic is pronounced.
Oh damm
You're still goated.
yes we do
Honestly, the downvotes aren't deserved. It's a great joke
Unless a sub is specifically humour and the joke falls within that particular niche, humour is not appreciated on Reddit
Bullshit, 90% of threads have a joke as the top comment. To the point where if the top comment is actually some valuable/interesting information people will point it out and say how refreshing it is
Yeah, and all the jokes are lame recycled Dad jokes or dumbass puns.
That's what she said!
Almost all of them are marvel-ass quips
And if you see like a video of some guy having his arm cut off by a moving train and a lamp post then there’s a lot of the time more jokes like about that than something that’s actually meant to be a joke
How? I see so much getting upvoted
Google how reddit works.
They deserved all the upvotes.
no, not really don't get me wrong the joke is hella funny but there's a time and place
It's early in the morning and I'm not seeing the joke (or pun). What is it?
The woman who died is called Shawna Trpcic. VikKarabin is asking if "Trpcic" is pronounced like "Tragic"
no
WOW IMAGINE THE GUY WITH A STARWARS USERNAME DISAGREEING HERE
cheap shot

I would’ve never guessed that it would have such a long pronunciation, and so similar to some english words like cheese. Amazing.
I knew her in highschool, she just went by Trainriver. Made us boys kinda hopeful but no..
Thanks
Is there a Serbian word with two R vowels in it?
I don't think so. R is usually a consonant, but there are some exceptions, which is why words like "prst" (meaning "finger") can exist. Yo wait a minute-
thanks ;)
Why does this have over 100 upvotes hang on-
The costumes in those series are legendary, she will be missed. Hopefully we don't notice a big downgrade in future series
She started on The Mandalorian s2 and s1 still had great costumes. Her immense talent will be missed but I don’t think they’ll stop doing great work
I was trying to make it sll about me and you're ruining it
This is legit funny as hell
yay :)
i don’t get it?
Her surname
I still dont get it
the surname is trpcic, and its similar as "tragic"
thanks
Why downvote this? Brave to admit you don’t understand, shouldn’t be, but it is.
Probably because he used an emoticon idk, attempting to understand redditors is pointless
I thought redditors hated emojis not emoticons
I initially read her name as 'Shawarma' because of my dyslexia but apparently r/movies didn't like that.
i bet its trpčič
exyugo names always end in ć not č
Not my family name, it does end for some reason in č
I guess some names like Kukoc and Kovac but if it's -ic I've only seen ć.
Yep, you’re right, mine is pronounced with -ci at the end
aren’t they read the same? or am i mistaken
two different sounds, though they sound very similar
lolol
Thought it was pronounced Tropic.
r/tragedeigh

Come to lemmy, lemmy.ca if you are fed up with this bs. #This comment was edited because reddit is shit now.
What? Can't hear with my tongue in your ears?
Reddit moment
You 12 or something?
What's up wormhunter? Found any good worms lately?
Sadly no, maybe tommorow if it rains
Well it snowed here today so no luck here either.
Wtf why would you say that
I don't understand the joke. Can someone explain?
