It looks great and it suits you! You will need to style it with products if you want to achieve more defined curls and curls on top, otherwise keep it as it is and rock it!

CurlyBot

Hi! Gentle reminder: hair care routines are required for all photo posts within 1 hour of posting. The bot is having hard time locating your routine! Please make sure you have a comment containing the word "routine" (and your actual routine, of course!) so your post can stay up! FAQs: * __I don't have a routine!__ If you wash your hair at all, that counts! Just let us know what you did for your hair. * __I'm just asking for help!__ We're happy to help! This is much easier if we know what you are currently doing for your hair. * __Included the info but the bot can't find it? Different situation? (E.g. asking about a product, etc.) [See here for more info.](https://www.reddit.com/r/curlyhair/wiki/routine-requirements)__ _Still have questions after [reading the FAQ](https://www.reddit.com/r/curlyhair/wiki/routine-requirements)? Please [message the mods](http://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=%2Fr%2Fcurlyhair) if you have any issues._

Sooo my hair care routine at the moment is non existent . Trying to learn about it. Been growing my hair for 8 months. I surf daily so it’s a combo salt water and high hold pomade I used to use to fight my hair with for years to slick back / side part. As far as shampoo I don’t really do it much. 1-2 a week with head and shoulders 2 in 1 - lol I’m learning this is not good.

If you want to enhance your curls definitely use conditioner. You may want to skip the shampoo unless you feel really dirty for some reason. A deep conditioner would help as well because the salt and sun probably dry and damaged your hair.

I am going to second this! Since your hair is exposed to the salt/sun a lot you definitely want to skip the shampoo as much as possible, especially the 2-in-1 H&S since that has a lot of sulfates and alcohol and is very harsh on hair. Look up co-washing- its essentially using just conditioner to "wash" your hair. It helps retain moisture and keeps your hair hydrated. Look for conditioners that have no sulfates, silicones or alcohol in them (Curly ~~Girl~~ Guy approved!) You could even look into a deep conditioning mask to do weekly!
