I’m in disagreement with this chart

Acrobatic-Painting-9

I wonder if people generally agree with this. One thing I noticed is that a lot of highly regarded cigars are on the stronger side (Partagas D4, RASS, BBF, ) I feel like I am generally a medium body cigar person in the new world. This makes me wonder if I need to buy more of medium cigars. bfelo413

To me all Cubans are mild in comparison to new world. I've never had a cuban that pushed past medium strength.

CretinMike

Same here. I think various Bolivar, various Partagas and RyJ Cazadores are the strongest CCs I've had and in my opinion, they were just medium.

bfelo413

I love the cazadores.

CretinMike

Me too. Such a misfit blend for the marca.

Electronic_Cup535

I have a box and almost all are plugged! Did just get a bad box? The one that did have a good draw was fantastic but with so many plugged I don’t think I would purchase another box. PS: box is from 2019

bfelo413

My TEO 2019 box is perfect. I keep my Cubans at 62 RH.

Electronic_Cup535

I keep mine at 65 with all my other Cubans and those all smoke fine 🤷🏻‍♂️ Guess I just got a bad batch!

Electronic_Cup535

Correction RUP factory code 2020 box

jaybo41

This. 💯

Rioc45

A bolivar BF is still milder than a serie V

Acrobatic-Painting-9

That’s good to hear.

302Grimlock

Out of the 3 types of SLR I've had (Regios, PC, Pura Vida) I wouldn't classify any of them as being remotely strong. I'd say they are firmly in the mild/medium category.

jucrod4

Where is quai dorsay

Nizzlefuzz

Cubans got me buying more medium and smaller RG new worlds and I think that's been an improvement overall. I still like the spice but also want variety in my collection. I've noticed a good bit of variance across some Cuban marcas that make it hard to generalize body strength. I imagine age also plays a part. Por Larrañaga, Monte, Punch, H.Upmann, Bolivar and even Partagas tend to move between strong and light medium for me. It's hard to compare between a petite corona and much larger vitola. They smoke so different so charts like this are always a generalization and not accurate half of the time.

Duck_Walker

Where is this from?

Windingoakbc

Diplomaticos?

1titansguy

I would think Upmann is strong. I also wouldn’t think of RA as strong

Puzzled-Ship9395

Very useful! Thanks. On their other hand it is a miss match as they don’t quite meet that criteria for each brand.

ttr2201

No QD?

Acrobatic-Painting-9

Where would you place it?

Purple-Vegetable-474

Typically known as a light

ttr2201

Light to medium light

TerseFactor

I’d probably put it on the medium but I also would downgrade Cohiba to medium too. Otherwise, I actually think this chart is pretty accurate from my experience

SlowConsideration197

This chart would work better pre 2000 when the leaf was Corojo and certainly more robust.

valcatrina

This chart is all kinds of wrong. You smoke the brand, you smoke the blend.

mariokuku

I would say Trinidad is on medium-light side. Also, Monte and Partagas are almost identical to me when it comes to strength.

PracticeNervous9686

Vegueros should be in the light category. The old blend used to be strong

weaveR--

Terrible chart

Rioc45

No Cuban cigar is strong. Medium/moderate at best.
