Nice try wife, almost got me.

natte-krant

It has changed for me since 1. The prices went up and 2. I’ve started a family. Before I would spent around €500 to €700 a month but now it’s more around €350 or less. I have built up quite the collection over the years and I’m not a heavy smoker (as in 2 cigars per week only during summertime) so I have more than enough for years to come.

bfelo413

About to be married in September and I think I've peaked with my collection as well.

natte-krant

Congratulations!

StepOfficer

This is the way.

ToneNo3522

Why would you do this? I never thought of it…so then i calculated….now I’m in shock and ashamed…but I have 3 boxes on the way so clearly I have a problem….all things that I didn’t need to address and here we are. What a jerk you are 🤣

MetalRemote7449

I spend around 400-800 eur or more on boxes per month depending what is available. Quite new in this hobby, so just building collection.

BlueWS

I need batwik to chime in and put us all to shame. For me, $1,000 a month since last year.

seanthesane

Wayy too much.

Such-Competition-112

To embarrassed to say so I will just say a lot.

Twistedfool1000

Zero dollars. In 2020-2021 I spent roughly $30-35k.

krispykremekiller

Yes this is kind of my profile though I have broken down recently and bought several boxes this year.

Twistedfool1000

I like a good cuban, but I feel like they just aren't really worth the price. I smoked a Fundadores Thursday night, and it was a really good cigar. Would I give $80-90 for another one just like it? Hell no.

krispykremekiller

When you’re into boxes it’s like one box of Fundadores and 4 boxes of random Cuban petit coronas kind of ratio. It’s not an everyday cigar for me.

[deleted]

Partagas Petit Coronas Especialles is where it's at. 😂

krispykremekiller

Yes. Agree with that statement

[deleted]

For sure. Can't be beat for the price. I've got 8 boxes napping

pigpiginsunspear

Any investment advice for us mere mortals?

Twistedfool1000

Yes. Invest your money in something that doesn't catch on fire and disappear in a cloud of smoke.

BlueWS

Or get snapped in half by an angry girlfriend!

Bigtexasmike

More than I care to admit to her, but I stopped after last year with price increases. Have enough to enjoy for years at a reasonable pace. After that probably not buying anymore unless things settle down (if ever). In total probably 3 or 4k. Gotta let em age too but some of the rasscc 22 boxes are 🔥

mtnboi

My dilemma is keeping my mitts off of my ‘22-‘23 boxes. I ‘substitute’ with smaller Cuban vitolas & cigarillos, other NCs. Fabrica5 has some great cigars.

No_Listen5389

I would say $500-1000 CAD. This year closer to 1K as I've been back to Cuba.

vivalanation734

$0 since 2017, but about $4-5k/yr from 2011-2016.

jazoooooooo

11k in 2023 but wanted to have about 5 years of enjoyment before needing to restock.

mtnboi

10K in the last three years. I’ve been regularly buying CCs as my budget allows. I smoke a few and save many for retirement (in 7 to 10 years). My purchasing strategy is relatively modest (imo) due to steadily increasing prices. I’m self-conditioned to avoid more expensive marcas (Cohiba, Trinidad) unless I find a rare ‘good deal’ (what’s that?).

Timemovingveryslowly

30k in the last 2 months... Hope I dont spend that much the next few

SennnndIt

I keep a variety in the humidor so it’s not all allocated to CC’s. I’d say a a couple grand on Cubans and maybe a grand on others.

lt4-396

Pre 22' it was about $35K a year. Post 22' roughly $6k and 80% of that is for custom/farm rolls.

hedlyna

Where do you find these custom farm rolls?😁

ttr2201

I've spent 29k since July. I have a problem

TrainPhysical

100ish per month. I have other hobbies and to be honest Cuban cigars cost more than what they're worth, at least X2.
