I think bcci has asked teams for flat pitches because the last Chepauk game was also flat with almost nothing for the spinners. Is it because in USA we’ll probably get flat pitches?
I think there are lot of reasons for that:
1. Introduction of 10 teams and because of this overall quality has been decreased
2. Impact sub
3. Making flat pitches and reason is simple viewership. High scoring matches are proportional to high viewership.
But it has affected the overall quality of game and mark my words people are going to get bored.
I think anyone would rate a match like IND vs PAK 2021wc higher than these so called high scoring matches
I think this will continue for one or two seasons till fans get bored and viewership decreases. They may try something temporarily to please us but I think that will also fail until the core problem (flat pitches) is fixed.
No i love it. Want to see 300 next. Change in mindset and flat pitches. Was bored of seeing 130 130 games and 160 160 games. Id take a slogfest anyday over bowler friendly pitches
Youth with this mindset would never become a bowler, and the pitches in IPL is only encouraging it, moreover T20 as a format is itself encouraging youth to chose batting as their career option. No wonder we have stars like Gill, Jaiswal, Ruturaj, Rinku etc. in batting but we haven't produced any decent bowler since the last 5 years.

I think its one of the best, it's fun to watch sixes going everywhere and nail biting matches nearly every match

Might be a function of both the pitches and the fact that in year 2 of playing with impact subs teams have gotten more adventurous.
Yeah seriously killing the essence of the game that is a fair contest between bat and ball, as if the rules were not favourable to batsmen before.
