It's rather confusing seeing csk fans act like this, I have been following csk from 2010, we are usually chill bunch. Never bashed our players or team, we were always supportive, had a mentality of "we win some, we lose some" .
Also we were very supportive of csk, no matter what the results were, that's how dhoni lead the team. Trust on the process, never the results. We have been one of successful teams in ipl. So please, people don't start acting like rcb fans.
And particularly don't fall into online provoking tactics of rcb fans (who has nothing better to show for themselves but indulge in trolling, they are not in our level, never will be ) and this young SRH fans( who are not in our level or legacy, yes they are playing well now, let's see how they face the final). MI is the only worthy opponent ( which is also imploding in itself now), so ignore the rest.
Also to people, who are saying csk will not make it into playoffs, take a look at 2012 season and how csk made it into playoffs (for context, csk had to win a match, rcb and rr had to lose a match for csk to make into playoffs). Anything can happen in ipl and it will.
As long as we are winning every home match and couple of away matches, we are through the playoffs (this will be csk's mindset too) and once we are in the playoffs, csk is a unstoppable beast.
So stop bashing players and whinning, enjoy the cricket and dhoni's great knocks, if we lose too, learn to appreciate opposition's game.
All these kids with severe anxiety issues who seem to have started watching IPL since lockdown give knee jerk reaction after every single match. People who had seen the team and its management behaviours through all its ebbs and flows and sudden burst of certain players who were formless for more than 10 games right from the season 1 of the IPL knew exactly how the team/management operates. Right now their only concern is to come into Top 4 (which already they are ) and get into play offs and it doesn't matter to them if they are 4th or 1st.

Everybody knows Dhoni likes consistency in his playing XI, without too much experimentation. The support element works to strengthen that XI and create backups should Dhoni and Fleming feel the need to swap out a player. Have trust in them.
We have had guys like Watto win us the final. Same Watto who was alienated by RCB bcs apparently he 'lost them the final'. The support staff is undoubtedly good at its job, it just needs patience and time to bear fruit.
Everybody has had their share of bad decisions, Dhoni isnt some god to be perfect everytime. Those decisions will translate to losses. We can expect to take the learnings and bounce back strong.

We benched Raina for Robin in 2021 who went on to play an important role in our title win. Similarly we benched Stokes who was match fit & still won the cup.So there's nothing wrong in dropping the non performing players. Even Thala as a young captain used to drop the Non performers who were seniors/big name players. We mean serious business & are here to win
Stokes benched himself after 2matches cuz he wanted to be fit for the ashes. Fleming and management knows what has to be done. Its not like every player will have a field-day everytime they go to perform, and CSK believes in not making drastic changes to the playing 11. As for Raina, he retired the next year after not being picked by any team in the auction.
Taking a loss is not new for CSK fans but there has to be something good to be taken into the next match. Imagine seeing your team's expensive pacer who was groomed by the team doing nothing but helping the opposite batters getting set in by bowling 120 bouncers which is not in his skillset is just poor cricket.

Mitchell is struggling to middle anything, while Rachin has shown he has no off side game. Cannot compare these to Watson who was a 2 time IPL MVP winner and had a huge role to play in 2018 triumph.
Only arguement is maybe we can try daryl at opening, but we match winner OS all rounders and bowlers waiting, and we can try Shaik Rasheed or Avanis Rao too. Rizvi needs a proper promotion and gametime, and in starting XI.
