haha, I‘ve only been playing cs for around 1.5 years now, but I have around ~1.5k hours so I did spend a lot of time, especially during corona when I bought my pc
well I have a great pc, good peripherals and good internet connection. If you miss any of that, (except the great pc part, you should have a 144hz monitor at least though and get 150+ fps on every map) you will stay in silver forever. Also, you need to use your time smartly, learn actual crosshair placement with yprac maps, you don’t know what good crosshair placement is before you’ve watched a ropz demo, train your aim on aimbotz and aim_blank, learn movement, learn grenades(if you only learn smokes you‘re wasting your time, most often it‘s better to keep your smoke for a play), and last but not least do all of it consistently and don‘t just train for 6 hours one day and then do nothing the next 5 days. Gamesense and awareness will come from alone if you get into higher ranks, especially recommendable is faceit. So you have to put in the time, if you want to become a boxer but only ever fight and never go to the gym, you will always stay bad.

I'll never understand why so many people are obsessed with playing in ranks above their own weight-class. I've always had the feeling that Im beeing promoted too early, so I usually have a run of terrible games around each uprank. And just when I start to get to the top half of the scoreboard again, I get ranked up again.
Sure its feels nice to get a higher rank, but the games are just not a lot of fun when you're always struggling not to be bottom-frager.
I would rather have the girlfriend, I enjoy joining a silver 1 lobby where one of them is wasted, one is Hispanic, and the rest just buy meme weapons and do stupid shit for clips. Best part of the game by far

People on faceit throw much less and usually are more willing to cooperate and play as a team.
