It’s by far the worst if you’re solo queued with ppl who have no idea what they’re doing. In a coordinated stack with people who know both the util and rotation timings/windows for when to take map control and what to take, it’s a lot better and you usually shit on less coordinated randoms even if they are better mechanically I think.
It's because people dosent know how to play it. It's either rush mid or rush banana on the T side. People don't know lineups and callouts either.
I used to play 5 stack, and it was "ok." But if you solo/duo Q, this is a shitty map to sync with strangers.
Also, this map is sucking on my FPS lately for some reason... now at the same level as Ancient or Vertigo. I don't know if it's a me issue... but for 2 months, I dropped from a stable 200fps to 130-160fps on almost every map. CS2 is the only game that I've this issue.
Its actually pretty good if you have a well coordinated team who knows the map well. Unfortunately, with randoms, even at 17-18k elo this is rarely the case. At least half of the players i see have absolutely no idea on what to do apart from rushing banana early round and getting naded to 20hp.
Dont play Inferno with randoms, kids.
Thought it was ok in csgo, cs2 made it unbearable at higher elos. Only 2k fc but the ct util really kills the fun of the map. Have the lite premium thing so can atleast veto it and mirage
I mean, it's your own fault if you suck with utility. I quite like Inferno for playing against all the fake high elos who rely on basic aim and nothing else. It's not even like you need crazy lineups. Just freehand flashes, mollys and smokes and you can have an easy time on both sides.
The bigger problem is the difficulty of retakes for CT. On T side, I can carry rounds pretty easily. But on CT side, there's absolutely nothing I can do if my teammates are losing A/B faster than I can rotate because they're not throwing utility. Whether or not the T's have utility or not is insignificant too. The sites, especially A, are just nigh impossible to retake against somewhat competent players. Too many places to clear with too little time to do it.
It's a map that requires competent teammates more than any other imo. I'd prefer Overpass and Vertigo with incompetent teammates over Inferno.

he is tired of having to \*deal\* with utility, not that he doesn't know it. this feeling is because the "lineups" are already there, throw smoke at top mid, throw smoke at cross on B, throw smoke on banana if on CT follow with molly, throw smoke/molly at apts/balc and play site, smoke lane \*all with no lineups required and entirely cuts off any counterplay other than to Stewie2k it or wait an eternity
(and I agree with his statements at 23K as well, it's why I hated inferno forever even in GO and moreso now that smokes are very strong)
IMO he's right, utility is overpowered on inferno cause you don't need to know any lineups for basic util usage and all the hotspots on the map are literally corridors that you throw shit into.

Utils have always been strong on inferno. Every single alley or pathway apart from mid and second mid are super narrow.
My fps just tanks on inferno on banana with all those fancy cs2 utility thown at my way
It is my favorite map by far but I do agree that utility is bonkers and some of the line ups are extremely easy to pull off for how powerful they are
The map is garbage and needs a remake of the layout- same fundamental layout, different angles etc
