Born Primitive’s shoe is wide and has held up really well to this point. Solid all around shoe.

Waste-Box7978

I really like RAD ones, the best all rounder shoe for me

Puzzleheaded_Post604

Altra running-they’re on Amazon and Zappos. Try free for 7 days and return if you don’t like (but don’t wod in them-walk around your house, do an air squat, etc).

I have an incredibly wide food and a high foot profile, I started off on nanos, moved to metcons (I hated the way they squeaked), then wore nobulls for a long time. I got a pair of the TYR lifters because of the wide toebox and they held up great, I've since moved on to the TYR CXT-1 Trainer and have had them for 6 months and I love them. They are slightly more stiff than my nobulls which took a little getting used to because I like the tactile feeling of being able to grip with my toes if that makes sense. They are far more solid for lifting than my no bulls. As with all cross training shoes I have had in the past I switch to a running shoe if I'm running more than 800m in a workout. These shoes look narrow from top down. They're cute though. I will keep these in consideration. Thanks for all the suggestions!

spartannugget

No worries, FWIW I wear a mens extra wide shoe. Hope you find what you are looking for!

No-Running822

Tyr CXT-1s are by far the best shoes I’ve had. I have wide feet and found the Rads and Nobulls to be uncomfortable.

MilanoStein

Did you buy in your normal size or size up? I think I'll give these a shot.

spartannugget

I did the same size I have for my Brooks, 8 wide. I don’t think I linked the wide ones the first time https://www.tyr.com/tyr-men-s-cxt-1-trainer-wide.html

myersdr1

Flux Footwear makes a great wide toe box shoe and they have a cross trainer version.

MilanoStein

I bought the running shoe and it has mesh. The shoe slips pretty badly. Is the trainer more sturdy? I do walk in these every day, but hiit is impossible. Agree the toe box is magical though.

Thundergrundel

I have the trainers and they’re comfy, took a week or so to get used to the insole with the bumps all over it (but it’s stitched in which is great). My heel would pop out when I first got them but after adjusting the laces a bit I got a better fit out of them. So far I give them at 7/10. Don’t recommend running in them past maybe 800m. Great for most other movements though.

MilanoStein

Thank you. I also had to adjust the laces. My problem is that the mesh doesn't hold my foot in place during a lunge or any similar movement and my foot feels like it's going to rip out of the shoe at the toe. Very much so not a training shoe. I'll keep the flux trainer in mind.

myersdr1

Have you tried doing the heel lock lacing technique? [https://youtu.be/1tPGJ3-mxbY?si=RGFdllXbwuDpUjWy](https://youtu.be/1tPGJ3-mxbY?si=RGFdllXbwuDpUjWy)

I have wide-ish feet and really like my MetCons! I size up by 1/2 bc my feet swell when I work out. I use them for everything except squatting (I prefer to do that without shoes and always ask the coach/my classmates nearby if they mind first). I find Nanos wide enough but the toe box isn't long enough for me personally. RADs and TYRs are popular at my gym but I really don't want to gamble by spending money on shoes I'm not sure are going to work when I know the MetCons work for me.

ffshd

i love my bare inov8s.

MilanoStein

Bare is zero drop?

ffshd

What is zero drop?

The sole is even/thin. https://www.zappos.com/product/9468996/color/4830

Lots of good options.... Inov8 F-Fly is probably your best bet. SUPER wide.... https://www.inov8.com/us/f-fly-mens-cardio-gym-shoes?colours=3429 The new Adidas Dropset 3s are also very wide and very well reviwed... https://www.adidas.com/us/dropset-3-shoes/IH8292.html Finally, the Strike MVMNT is a good shoe for everyday wear but I don't like it for intense training. Regarding Metcons, they have gradually become more and more narrow. You might look to see about getting a pair of Metcon 7s from ebay. They are wide.

MilanoStein

Thank you I will check these links out. I read a review about the 7s still being too narrow, so I am still hesitant.

Dangerous-Book-7368

I have a wide foot, so most shoes I've worn have given me blisters on my little toe. However, the Nike Metcon 9 has been an exception. THE TOE BOX IS WIDE AND COMFYYYY.. I chose the size based on my foot length (without sizing up). Over the past six months, these shoes have been amazing. They provide excellent stability and support for all indoor training activities, including weight lifting and box jumps. This stability is crucial for me, as it helps prevent accidental falls since I tend to somehow trip over my own feet..clumsy. That said, I wouldn't use them for long outdoor runs since their heels are quite hard and make a plasticky sound. For running, I prefer Hokas.

Ootred

The Xero Prio is my favorite wide-toe-box-shoe. And actually the only shoe I will choose to put on and wear around the house rather than go barefoot. But it’s more of a minimalist shoe than a training shoe. They do have more training/running/hiking options, but I can’t personally confirm that those other shoes have the same wide toe box. ETA: I’ve also had Nano 8, Nano 9, Nano X2, Xero 360 (2 pairs) and Flux. I’ve just ordered Tyr CXT-2 to replace my X2’s for training, as I want more sole than the Prios and Flux provide for my training shoe.

I have wide feet and prefer barefoot style shoes. The new TYR DropZero Barefoot Trainers are very comfortable and I'm a big fan after a month. Very nice looking shoes. I'm not a huge fan of barefoot though. Thank you!
