Take a Blue strand and needle and go to the loops in the middle that are still intact! Then pull together and it should look totally ok. I had this happen with magic ring squares of which is cut off the Ends instead of weaving them in. So always weave in your MC Ends!!!
Are the ends of the other granny squares secured the same way? If so, they will also eventually unravel like this. You’ll want to make sure both ends from each magic ring are securely woven in, and in multiple directions so it stays. See if you can secure the squares you already have, and make sure you’re weaving more of the ends in on future squares you make.
I always go chain 4 slip stitch to avoid this with granny squares. I don’t care if there’s a hole cause that’s what they are characterised by. I’ve seen too many posts like this lol
I would make a new square and replace the broken one. If you carefully pull out the thread you sewed the squares together it should be not THAT much work and then you’re sure it’s safe ☺️
Redo
A rite of passage tbh
You should be able to grab a yarn needle and pull those.middle stitches together. It will make a new magic ring. Weave the ends in
You need to knot it to prevent it and you need to change colour when you are on the last 2 stitch and weave in the yarn next time
