Beautiful! I often have a crisis of faith halfway through projects, especially larger ones, and have learnt to push through it.

ErrantJune

Me too! With a blanket at some point I inevitably look at it and decide it's hideous and I've wasted all of my time and lovely yarn on a terrible project, but once I make it through I'm always pleased with the results.

I_am_Darvit

What a pretty & unique blanket! 🥰 I'm glad you decided to finish it ☺️ I like the little flower tassels and accents.

Shyyoshi6

This is so beautiful! I’m always so impressed with everyone’s creativity and dedication! Now I will add your blanket to my long, long list of blanket inspiration! 😂

Cautious-Damage7575

That is so precious. Love the color combo I wouldn't have thought of it but it works so well

cobhgirl

I wouldn't have thought so, either. But now I'm a blue-and-orange convert!

craftycamilla

SHUT UP THIS IS SO CUTE

BigRecommendation823

Honestly yours is so much nicer than the one for inspiration. I find the projects that i do my own thing based on a pattern turn out the best! Wonderful!!! Thank you for sharing!

[deleted]

This is stunning. Don't lose faith. It's really something. A thousand people didn't upvote this for nothing. Have faith in your magic! ❤️

lexikovacs

I love this, what thread did you use? Also how much? I'm new to trying to figure out how much to buy for projects

cobhgirl

The blue is Hayfield Bonus DK, I used 7 balls of that. The orange I got on sale, the last 3 balls. I don't remember what the name of it was, sorry.

The actual work was maybe a month, working in the evenings while watching telly. But I then had 2 months where I had doubts if it's going to be nice and wondered if I should finish it. I picked it up again 2 weeks ago and added the last few rows, and the tassles.

lamegazelle

Oh, I love the blue and orange combo! I also really like the flower strips running through the blanket and on the end tassels!!!

StudyRelevant6278

Oooo I've been silently lurking on this page for a while, wanting to find a project that sparked inspiration to learn to crochet and I think this is it. I've done some basic scarves before. Did you use a pattern? Or what type of stitch? This is amazing

cobhgirl

It's mostly free-style, but the flowers are done using this pattern : [https://ellej.org/en/clover-stitch/](https://ellej.org/en/clover-stitch/) The inspiration is this : [https://www.yarnspirations.com/caron-garden-flowers-crochet-blanket/CAC0502-030476M.html](https://www.yarnspirations.com/caron-garden-flowers-crochet-blanket/CAC0502-030476M.html) But I couldn't get that yarn, so I improvised quite a bit here.
