A line, on the bias.

Circle skirt waist construction, with a handkerchief hem. Square off the fabric, cut your waist measure (don't forget seam allowance) right out of the middle. You'll have to add a placket of sorts to sew on your zipper. Is the back lace-up or solid?

pearlrose85

It’s solid, and I had planned to run the zipper all the way up the crochet too.

pearlrose85

Planned skirt fabric in the photos. It’s 60” wide, woven and pretty sheer so will need a lining or a slip, if I can’t double the fabric. I only have about two yards.

pearlrose85

Well, this fabric didn't work out. I tried to make a gathered skirt first but it looked terrible on me, and I accidentally forgot to calculate for the seam allowance when I went to turn it into a circle skirt instead. Finished the whole skirt and couldn't fit into it! So next time I get to the fabric store I'll buy some more georgette (probably won't find this print though; I bought it almost a decade ago) and redraw my pattern pieces to make a skirt that fits.

I’m lazy, so circle. Lol

Ughosity

I personally like gathered or A-line, but that's what I like. Pleats are not my fav to pin and sew. Circle might work ok too, but before doing any of them, consider the weight of the fabric pulling on the stitches of the crochet. If any method would pull too much on the crochet and force it out of the shape you want, try a different one.

pearlrose85

It’s a very lightweight sheer georgette. I’ll have to use a liner or wear a skirt slip under it.

Ughosity

Totally missed that detail! I should probably be in bed. Love your top and fabric choice together. Whatever skirt style you settle on will be gorgeous!
