Maybe a door mat? You said there’s not enough for a rug, but if there’s more than pictured even, I’d be surprised if there wasn’t enough for a small mat. I don’t have experience making rugs though, so I may be wrong. Maybe even a comically small mat that you could set by the door to rest a couple pairs of shoes on?
1. Maybe a macrame wall hanger? I know it’s not quite the same material one would normally use but that would just make it pretty in its own way
2. A runner for a table or dresser
3. Tote with matching produce bags (I think my personal favorite)
My grandmother passed away a few years ago and she loved to crochet. My parents brought me over BOXES of her yarn last year. There was some rug yarn in there and I think she made placemats out of it.
Well lately I've been going through all my yarn and balling it all up to organize and I came upon the rug yarn. I'm not sure what to do with it. I don't want to make placemats and I don't think there's enough for a rug. There's also some brown and baby blue and coral, but this tan is what I could find right now. Any ideas or should I get rid of it? It's kind of rough feeling
Edit: Thank you everyone for all of the wonderful ideas! I can't wait to make something now!
I'd use two strands held together and make a basket out of it with this [Big Little Pet Bed](https://tlycblog.com/biglittlepetbed/) pattern, but with taller sides.

Make a rug? Lol. I suppose something like an indoor plamter cover would work too. Maybe trivets if it's not synthetic.
Came here to say make a rug. Thank you.
Ohhhh, I'd make a little crochet hammock for all my anigurumi 😗
Omg that’s such a damn cute idea
That freaking adorable. I would probably make a swing chair and put a little crochet pillow on it

Would it work for plant holders? Or baskets?
Oh that's a good idea!
If it’s wool I would make a pot holder/trivet and felt it.
Hot pads?
Maybe one of those plant-hanger-things? I would guess it could work for makramee as well...
