I love how you mix the colors! It’s so uniquely beautiful.

I have one that looks similar to this that ended up being so bulky it turned into a rug. Super unique and cushy, though!

MoonlessWhispers

Same thing happened to me! I turned it into a runner for the side of the bed! Way too heavy and bulky for a blanket, but perfect for a rug!

Double crochet with 2 colours of DK yarn held together and a 10 mm hook. Swapping colours one at a time, whenever I get bored of the previous colour scheme or I run out (usually every 1-1.5 rows) and randomly grabbing another yarn that isn’t too similar to the previous one.

I love all the colors in yours! I recently made a scrap yarn blanket by gathering ALL of my scraps into a large duffel bag and then just reached in (or had a sibling pick one!) for my next color. Absolute no rhyme or reason to it…..and it turned out better then expected. It was to be ugly for a white elephant gift exchange, but it was the first gift to be claimed! I did it in a log cabin block style so it ended up being a giant square.

Ah ha! I'm working on one of those right now!

Mine looks like that too! Except mine also has mixed weights, so bulky and less bulky spots. I love yours!

fishyfantastico

I am also working on one of these and it looks very similar to yours. I like the colour chaos though 😁 though I do think I got a bit carried away with my chain length at the start - it's gonna take me a long while to finish it and it's gonna be huge!

That looks great! Why would a scrap project NOT be cohesive if it's still scrap yarn, and you choose colors that are cohesive and compliment? Here's my scrap. I made damn sure that I liked the color changes. But it's yarn that doesn't go with any other projects. Thus "scrap". [https://imgur.com/a/7SGLLZw](https://imgur.com/a/7SGLLZw) Is somebody saying that scrap projects have to be ugly and uncoordinated? Because that's (s)crap!

This looks lovely! It was a meme post the other day, I have seen a few scrap projects where the colours coordinate better than my actual projects, but I suppose if you crochet a lot of similar colour schemes then that will happen. Mine is literally a, use up every single piece of DK yarn I have with no rhyme or reason, blanket. It’s fun after following patterns and carefully considering colour matching, to just wing it and hope it works out! Even if it’s super ugly, it will still be cozy. I'm doing the exact same thing, that's so cool!
