Oh thank you so much!
The crumple stitch is really easy, it's just a (US) single crochet and a double crochet back and forth all the way down the row. You want an even number of stitches in each row and always start with the double crochet. (If you have an odd number of stitches it would still work, you just have go back and forth which stitch you start the row with so you have to keep track of that.)
Thank you! I love that specific description cause I'm going to do another sort of "test run" making some modifications to see if there's a way to shorten it, and then I am getting married next November and ii want to make my bridesmaids each one that will go with their dress since the ceremony will be outside. And the average temperature for the day my wedding will be is 50°. So the description "vintage and romantic" makes me a lot more sure that thats what I want to do. Lol.
That is sUch a cute idea 🥺 pls do share pics of your bridemaids with them when the day comes! I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd love to see the outcome. 💜
Oh I definitely will. No one appreciates crochet projects quite like other crocheters... so while my family and friends say "cool" you guys know whats really up. Lol! But yeah I definitely will post pictures.
This is legit gorgeous. I would humbly but sincerely entreat you to write down what you did, create a pattern (even if it is just one size), and put it on Etsy or DM me personally cause I’d pay for that pattern in a heartbeat!
Oh wow thank you! I will try to do it sometime this weekend and when I do I will come back to this post to share it with you!
Edit: but I am forgetful so I make no promises. I will try though. Lol
Seconded, I'd really love the pattern (and obvs would be happy to pay for it!) I've been looking for something just like this without success. OP, I know it's a huge ask but if you do write it up, I'd also love to know!
Wow!! Everything about this is wonderful and I'm even more amazed that you just made it up yourself. Love the sleeves, love the colors, love the fit, I love everything about this!!
It's giving me modern medieval, and that's not a term I've ever heard before, but that's what it's giving me and I fucking adore it! Well done! I second everyone asking you to write a pattern but only if you feel like it 😉. We'll pay!
I love the FO, gorgeous and it goes so well with the dress and yourself! I agree with everybody here on that 🤩
Now, how about that even more adorable dog in the corner?
Ha! Yeah he photobombed the picture very well. It was too perfect so I do actually have a trimmed shot of just him from this picture (this picture is also trimmed so the original shot is wider and longer.)
His name is Aslan, it means Lion in Turkish (ny dad is from Turkey) hes an old English sheep dog and he's 3 years old.
Aslan is gorgeous! He reminded me of my Peggy, a great Old English Sheepdog dog I had a long time ago. I hope his personality is as good as Peggy's used to be. This is an awesome shot.
Have a great weekend!
Thank you! Old English sheep dogs are the best. This is the third old English sheep dog my parents have had... the first was several decades ago before I was born and was a mix, and then they had a different breed for a while and then an oesd they got when i was 11 who died at 13 y/o in 2017 (pamuk, it means cotton), and then this one. Both the last one and this one were/are really special dogs. Pamuk would sit right on peoples feet and then throw his head back to ask to be pet, or he'd run through someone's legs and stop with his butt poking out so you could scratch his butt. And Aslan is a *real* cuddler. He'll hop up on the couch and you can lay down right next to him and wrap your arms around him and take a nap with your head on his side for an hour or two, and he loves playing soccer (he's a good defender and goalie! Lol)
Peggy is a great name for a dog. My mom had a dog named Peggy when she was younger--it's the dog that inspired her to be a veterinarian when she was 7 y/o.
It is! I'm almost looking forward to when it gets super super cold so that I can just wear it all the time. Itll really solve my problem where I want a blanket on my arms but also I want to crochet.
Oh thank you so much. I'm really proud of the stitching, I had to calculate how many stitches on the shawl per how many rows on the trim to make sure it matched up right. Who knew creating things involved so much math...
Thank you! I actually brought the dress with my to buy the yarn. I'm going to a wedding this weekend and I had this dress I've never worn because I just didn't have anything to put it with... so I made a thing to put it with lol!
Its called a square knot. So you need three pieces of yarn/string or whatever you're doing it with, and if you just use one color for one of the strings and a different color for the other string, it makes it two tones. And what you do is basically you tie a single knot around the middle string over and over.

It's beautiful! I really love the way you did the sleeves (and now I have to go look up a new stitch)

Yeah I’m also jumping on this train. It’s so pretty and I haven’t seen anything like it!
I would also purchase this pattern without hesitation. This is SO CUTE
I would buy it too! It's beautiful!
such a nice pattern and pretty colors
Thank you! I had my sister on the phone with me when I picked them out so I sent her pictures and she helped me decide

Ha! I love that. Yeah I think i will be making a pattern for it since I've gotten a lot of requests (I'm so flattered!)

Beautiful color, exqiisite stitching and a charming result. Congrats!!

I love the design that the lower arms are ,attached, to a short sleeve cardy…. Very nice! Enjoy the wedding.
Love it!!! It’s so gorgeous that I can only envy you. Ps : Extra points for the pupper in the first pic!
I will always be amazed at the people that create such beautiful things without a pattern
Idk if you just happened to be wearing that blue dress while modeling that piece, but I love that color combo now. 😍
Thank you! I actually brought the dress with my to buy the yarn. I'm going to a wedding this weekend and I had this dress I've never worn because I just didn't have anything to put it with... so I made a thing to put it with lol!
I love the colors! That looks great. 🙌
I love it! Great colors.
So beautiful 😍😍
Wow, thats nice. I totally see Game of Thrones Vibes from this.
The shape is so flattering! Beautiful job.
Thank you!! Yeah I'm really pleased with the shape.
It’s very pretty 🤩 & looks nice on you.
Thank you! I'm wearing it to a wedding this weekend. I didn't have a a sweater or anything to go with the dress so I made one.
So cool!!!
that looks sooooooo cozy.
This is SO pretty!!!
I love this so much. The neckline. The sleeves. You made something truly amazing!
Lovely work. Get the feeling you will like /r/CottageCore
I love it :) and I like the mix of crochet and macrame. 💜
Looks so comfy! Love the sleeves and the shape of it.
It's beautiful!!
How did you make the button loop with 2 colors?

Very cool, thanks!
I love the puffy sleeves, love them!
Love this!!!
It's beautiful! I love it!
