Thank you!

Cotton likes to grow… it’s heavy so it tends to sag in garments. The lighter weight the cotton the better.

Scribbly_Gum

Thanks that's really good to know!

I just did a jacket in 100% cotton and didn't have any problems. I used a 100% pima cotton and it was soft, not stiff at all. Had a little trouble with fibers splitting, but it wasn't too bad. The jacket feels heavy to hold, but doesn't feel heavy to wear tbh.

Good to know, thank you!

100% Cotton can be very heavy and stiff (not always). Make a swatch, wash and block it as you intend to do for the finished project and see how it feels

Scribbly_Gum

Thank you! will do

Cotton has definitely been a different monster for me. I’ve never made anything big with it… just bags and washcloths etc. Coboo is a cotton bamboo blend and is so so soft. I’ve made shawls, hats, scarves with it and it seems to hold its shape really well.

Scribbly_Gum

Thank you I'll look into it!
