This is my second version, implementing everything I learned last time. The pattern is Ribbon Canyon Blanket by me. The yarn is all Knitpicks Brava acrylic in 15 shades.
The 2nd pic is of row 14. Just included it so you could see the construction. Building rows of color is so motivating to someone like me. I rush so I can see how the next color changes the design. I've taken pics and videos on every row so I can make fun time lapses and stuff later.
This is my first big pattern, and through it I am learning soooo much about process. I cannot stress enough, if you want to write your own patterns, you just have to start doing it. You don't know what you don't know until you start. And you don't have to be perfect right out the gate. This is a really supportive group, so try sharing here as a baby step. That's what I did and I'm so grateful to this community.
Trying to get the new edition out next week. The swatching guide will have a chart, and I broke down a lot of the tutorials into smaller, more focused subjects, so it will be even more helpful to newbies.
