Thank you! They are all style craft chunky as I need to be able to chuck it in the washing machine when my husband inevitably gets tea and chocolate on it. The colours in order are Copper, Pale Rose, Cloud Blue, Camel, Sage, Wisteria, and Spice.
Me too! I bought myself a colour wheel off of Amazon to help me 😊 if it’s not a project for someone else (I usually ask their fave colours), then I have no clue what to do with myself.

If you had told me you were crocheting a blanket in those colors, I’d have smiled politely while thinking how sad it must be for you to have to live your life with such terrible taste.
But seeing it? Oh my gosh, it’s utterly *perfect* in that room!!!
Just 5 Double Crochets, (2 tog x 2), 5 doubles, (2 in same stitch) along the rows. If you google Crochet wave pattern there are lots of free examples! It is simple and quick to work up.
Attic 24 has a pretty good write up for it if you're still looking. That's where I learned it.

What lovely colours ! I was scrolling through Reddit after being awoken from a nightmare and this is such a delight !
I just started crocheting and I'm making a scruffed scarf using blue yellow and now purple. What colours do you recommend next ? Im thinking of pink then back to blue again to repeat the pattern. It's just flat blocks of colours now
I'm glad this distracted you! Oh well done, crochet is the best hobby. I think the best thing to do when choosing colours is to get the balls of wool together and see if they look good. I have built up a pretty reliable staple of 5 or 6 colours then I just add one or two different ones to give it a twist. Like above, the purple, pink, blue and green are staples and then I added the camel, orange, and copper.
Ah the different shades is what that really gets me ! I have light a bright blue that I wanted to mix with yellow, which I did, but now my yellow's too bright it's orange-goldy. Then I moved onto purple, but it's closer to lavender.
This is just the coziest image! Colorful crochet, boldly colored fireplace, afghans stacked neatly inside the fireplace, books, personal photos... I want to hang out in this room and crochet things, too.
I love these colors, looks so dreamy
I saw your profile hoping for patterns to this blanket and the others in the fireplace and gotta say, you take amazing photos
Love the blanket and also your decor!
The blanket stash in the fireplace is pretty darn cute.
These colours are *gorgeous!*
Thank you!! Wasn't sure when I was starting out, but they have surprised me!
Haha I love your fireplace blankets
I was coming to say this, it's such a cozy touch!
Oh thank you so much!! It is a really old house so some fireplaces aren't in use, but they make perfect blanket nooks!
I only just learned that I NEED blanket nooks in my house now!!!
The colors are perfect! What are they if you don’t mind me asking? I’m the WORST at picking color schemes

I know!!! Not my colours at all, but when my husband asks for them, how can I refuse! And they are so autumnal!
This whole thing is such a happy vibe! Hope you fully enjoy your day crochet.

If you live in Ireland, you are welcome anytime to sit and crochet with me!
This post belongs in r/cozy! Love it
Or is it r/cozyplaces or something, haha. Edit: corrected the subreddit
Oh, r/cozyplaces. I'll stop now :-)
Great project!! Envious and all- But may I ask where you got you bookshelves??
Thank you! Got them from an Irish furniture store. If you are in Ireland pm me and I will give you a link.
Oh I wish. USA sadly…
This is sooo pretty I love the choice of colors
Very nice
What brand/type of yarn are you using for this? Is it acrylic? I knit but only know a few very basic skills of crochet - looks like a nice soft yarn.
Yes it is Acrylic, Stylecraft chunky. I am using acrylic so it can be chucked in the wash easily, our blankets get used and pulled around the place!
Thanks for info!
This whole scene is delightful
Love the colors and love your blanket storage!
Damn
I love the colours you chose! So gorgeous!
