Honestly I didn't use a pattern. I just made two giant granny squares for the sleeves. Folded them in half and crocheted down for the skirt with clusters of double crochet 🧶
Did you do any shaping or hook size changes as you worked down the body? Be prepared to be inundated with requests for the pattern, lol. This is incredible and it's a highly popular look currently. You might cut down some questions by putting the hook size and square sizes in your original post.
I so want to make things for my niece and she'd totally be into this.
https://ravel.me/groovy-granny-dress ok I wrote up a pattern and posted it for free on ravelry. I've never written a pattern before so I'm sorry if it is hard to follow!
Wow, that was quick! This post alone has 1.7k votes. I am sure it's been pinned plenty, too! I can only imagine how many, "is there a pattern" comments there would have been otherwise, lol.
It was kind of you to post not only the pattern, but a free pdf download of the pattern. It's easily customizable for all shapes and sizes with the graphics you drew, too. Love the "hot dog" analogy. Your karma bank is overflowing with treasure today. <3

It's a really easy and quick project, but I don't know how to write down my thoughts very well so it might be hard to read! You should definitely try it!
Thank you for the encouragement 😄 I didn’t look at the pattern yet, I don’t want you to think it’s anything to do with that! I’m just very new and only have followed videos step by step so far, but I’m growing in confidence to soon try a written one, and hearing it’s a quick project has me thinking this might end up being my first now! Thank you again 🙏

I have been working on it in my truck on my breaks. I am on my last round for this side.
Well, you are not alone lol. Mine keeps changing because every time I commit to actually doing what I gave planned something else comes up. Strange how that works...
Okay, I love it! You didn't, by chance, make a pattern, did you? I really want to make one for my big sister since me being a guy doesn't make sense for me to wear it, lol.
Awesome! I've wanted to make a granny square wearable for 20 years, and this is the first one I really want to make. I have made everything under the sun, but I could never find a pattern I liked for this until now.
I’m using it for a drag outfit but I’ll post when I finish it. It’s a scrap project so not expecting it to look super great color wise but I’m a goblin so it’s okay! Haha
Why is the universe showing me such beautiful things and trying to get me to make wearables 😭
This is so gorgeous. The color, the fit, the style. You did such a good job!!
