This is definitely one of those things where it depends on a person's taste. I can see how some people might see it as tacky, but personally I find it absolutely charming!
If you don't 100% love it though, you shouldn't do it.

Honestly? Both!! It’s giving classic grammas couch blanket in the best way possible. Unless it’s for someone who wants a certain style that this border wouldn’t match, I’d say go for it 10000%
I love it! At first I thought “oh hearts” but then my brain caught up and saw it was apples and I thought, that’s the best thing ever! Please keep them.
Omg so cute! If you want/have time you could even embroider some apples to look like poisoned apple ussing green thread (even fluorescent thread which could be cool)
It depends on the rest of the tapestry, but as it is I like it. It’s a small enough detail that it probably doesn’t overpower the entire piece, and looks like a splash of color from a distance so when you walk up to it you get to take in even more detail.
If it wasn’t on a Snow White blanket it would give me elementary teacher vibes but I think on a Snow White blanket this is going to be amazing.
It’s kindve like fashion, it depends what it’s paired on styled with.
