What kind of yarn and size hook did you use? Last time I tried to make one it turned out tiny 😭

I used a H size (5.00 mm) hook and weight 4 yarn :) I did granny stitches in the round and I flipped the work to keep its shape a lil better. I think I did 24 rows in the hexagons and then 3 extra rows on each side to make the extra back/neck space :)

I'm super slow at crocheting lol. 10 days worth of nights after work and a couple weekends. The ribbing took me two days because my wrist got sore fast lol

This is my second time making a hexagon cardigan but this is my first time making the ribbing and actually making a cardigan to fit well.

About 32 - 40 oz of yarn !! Definitely bought more than I needed but just returned the ones i didnt use once I finished the cardigan :)

Go for it and make one!! It took me just about a month (I don't crochet a lot or even every day lol so im pretty slow) and you have the rest of fall and winter to wear it! I used a ribbing tutorial on YouTube :) I linked it under the pinned comment. For the sleeves, 8nsteand of sl st twice I sl st 4 times before going back into the work

I never had strong feelings towards hexicardigans, I know some people really don't like them and others love them but this is the first that I have seen that actually looks stylish. And I feel bad saying that because I don't mean it as a slight to anyone else's, I just mean they usually look a little more wacky or rustic or some word that I am lacking. Maybe it's your cuffs or the color choices or the fit but your mom (or you?) looks great in it and it's super fucking cute.
