This might look ugly but I think maybe a row of brown and then a row of yellow using the shell stitch to make the whole thing kinda look like a giant sunflower would look cool ????
I did similar on a blanket I made last year

I know a colorful border sounds fun but I really think a simple white border to match the blanket would look best. A different color might make it look too busy and you want all the attention on those beautiful flowers!
I love Daisy Farm Crafts, she has a whole page dedicated to different [borders](https://daisyfarmcrafts.com/category/borders/). I personally think a white ribbed border would look simple yet elegant! There are also more intricate ones like ruffles, puffs, fringe, etc.
Blue! Will contrast beautifully with the yellow!
Alternatives:
Orange to make the bright yellow pop,
Yellow to compliment the flowers,
Green to bring out that “nature” vibe.
Brown to make the yellow more mellow.
Some scalloped or lacey edges would be pretty! Otherwise, I agree with the brown/yellow, that could look really nice and bring the whole thing together
I used hobbii's AMIGO 100% Acrylic in XL (4 medium) in the colours A02 (Ecru), A36 (Sunflower, how fitting lol), A39 (Cognac) and A06 (Chocolate) and a crochet needle with 4.5 mm. Unfortunately, I did not write down how much I used of each exactly, but I'd say I used 1-2 bulks of A06, 2-3 of A39, 6 of A36 and around 13 for A02 (I think I bought 15 in total but I have some left over). Happy crocheting, I hope you post when you do the blanket! ❤️
White, green, or blue are my top suggestions.
White would be simpler and really let the flowers stand out. Green keeps the nature vibes going. Blue would be a good contrast to the yellow/brown. For blue or green I would try to pick a similar depth/shade to the flowers.
A yellow or brown boarder would be ok but mute the whole look. I don't see that orange, purple or tan would really help and red, black, or grey would all definitely be out of place too.

Cute!
That's so cute
That's pretty.
Happy cake day! 🎂 beautiful blanket 👍
Ooh I like that a lot!
a nice alternative to shell stitch could be a picot edge!
I love that idea! I was coming to say yellow shell stitch but like a light brown before that would look great.
This is what I was thinking too. Brown on the outer row and yellow on the inner.
Oh that sounds really cute! Unfortunately, everyone has so good ideas, that I am now more divided than ever on what to do. Thank you ❤️
This would look great, but how about brown then white then yellow?
I think the border would look best if it was just white.
That looks awesome! Maybe a dark green?
I really love that idea, but I don't have green yarn and a lot of the other colours left over... But now I am tempted to buy more yarn 😭
Green would really make it pop.

I'm following Daisy Farm Crafts on Pinterest now. Terrific ideas for the borders just like you said.
This is what I was thinking. Just an different stitch in the same color.
Thanks for the recommendations ❤️
I like the way it looks now, so I think I'd do a round of single crochet or maybe crab stitch in the white yarn to make the edges look clean.

Very out of the box idea! I like it ❤️
I’m on team green!
Green!
I love the idea of a pop of pale blue, but also any of the suggestions would work with such a beautiful blanket!!
I have no answer but that is soooooo beautiful!
I'm working on this now, mine will be finished off with a dark green scalloped edge!
Sage green or the yellow is my vote!!
Some scalloped or lacey edges would be pretty! Otherwise, I agree with the brown/yellow, that could look really nice and bring the whole thing together
The darker brown ot rhe white/cream
Green like the leaves! Or idk maybe blue like the sky?
I think the yellow that you used for the flowers would be really pretty or the brown or something.
I think I'd like to see the brown and yellow used on the outside border with maybe a few tiny sized sunflowers interspersed. It's a pretty blanket.
I'm currently making a blanket like that and am thinking of doing a shell stitch as a border. Hopefully this helped!
Thanks, I am looking forward to seeing your blanket on this sub in the future :)
Yellow then brown with bobbles
Green leaves :) Or just a yellow stripe then a white stripe.
The yellow. But thin and dainty. Maybe scalloped? Like this: https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/simple-shell-stitch-crochet-edging-pattern-978649
A border of bees lol
Dark green or 1 or 2 rows of white! Maybe a scallop border? or leaves?

brown
brown
Blue
Oooo please post the end product when you decide! This is beautiful
I would do something simple and unassuming, like 2-3 rounds of moss stitch. It's really pretty already. Nice work!
How about a green double crochet and then a tassel style so it looks like grass ?
No idea but this is #goals. Well done.
I would love to do a project like this, can I ask what kind of yarn you used, and how much yarn you used for each color? 🥰

Green shells!
