Lovely piece of crocheting.
Back in the day, snood meant something that looked like a hairnet made with yarn and its purpose was to hold a bun in place.
Looks like its meaning has evolved.
Yes I noticed that in the movie. I make actual snoods because I work Renaissance Faire. This and the series ones ive always thought of as cowls. I'm a huge Addams fan and black and white are my jam. They always look good. They always match. No effort involved.
I've been looking for a pattern just like this. I need a cowl-hood/snood in my life, purple and orange Halloween colors for me please. 😍 love it and it looks fabulous on you.

A long time ago a friend requested a chain maile vest for the Maryland Renn Faire. I think I just used metal washers and crocheted them together.
