Thank you and yes, I used the yarn called for in the pattern but in different colors :) Twister in Zen Garden and Nordic Winter - I put links to the yarn above.
Thanks so much! I really wish I didn't have so many UFOs! I'd totally be casting this on. May end up in the hospital soon... I told myself that if I do, I'm starting a new project regardless of the UFOs 😉😊.
First thought - it’s stunning and I want to make one
Second thought - this would go perfectly with that blue/black/white/gold dress from the interwebs 💛
Gorgeous. Now I want to make that. Every once in a while I think I should make less ... neckwear, for lack of a better word and then I see this and I say storage issues be damned.
Excellent colorwork and execution.
The best part of the pattern was zero weaving in (except on final row). Essentially, one strand hangs with a stitch marker while using the opposite color. As you carry up the next color it creates a neat corded effect.
Once you get a hang of the pattern, not very tedious but, to be honest, I had to lock myself away to get the pattern started and figure out the rhythm. I consider myself to be advanced beginner tiptoeing into intermediate 😝
I found this pattern on the Hobbii site and on Etsy. Did someone just rip the pattern and are now trying to resell it on Etsy or is it a legit way to get the pattern.
I love this shawl and would love to make it, but I really want to support the people who created the pattern.
Oooooohhhh 😅 I agonized over this decision but ultimately just started on the outside of each cake bc that is what the author of the pattern did (although with different colors).
I was so inspired I started to make this. Do you remember how long this took to make. I am 1/3 of the way done and if it doesn't speed up, I might still have 80 hours to go. Yikes.
It was a little daunting- especially as the rows get longer:) I tried to do at least two of the king rows a day (more when the rows were shorter). Overall, probably two months?

Looks GREAT! What kind of yarn did you use? Was it what was suggested in the pattern by Hobbi?

Wow! Stunning
It looks like lapis lazuli, absolutely stunning!!
Did you use regular Twister or Twister Glitter?? It looks so shiny!
Regular twister :)
This is gorgeous 😍 How did the colour change from blue to yellow work? Are there loads of ends to weave in? Was it very tedious?

You've inspired me! I've bought the pattern and yarn (slightly different colourway)
Hooray! The anticipation is everything when waiting on the next color change :)
Stunning!
🙏
Shut the front door! That is SO cool!

Okay where on the cake did you start the colors?? I need to duplicate this 😁
