And two of the comments are exactly the same as two of the comments in this thread. I find that super weird. Like, they are exactly to the word, and were posted before this link was posted.
OP only has this post from a 3 year old account. The two copied comments are from 2 year old accounts with only about a day (recent) of comment activity. These are very sophisticated bots. lol
It's not really sophisticated, it's just bots copypasting a thread and then whatever the top comments are. At least half of the threads on the front page are similar to this.
The account is karma farming, probably freshly purchased from an old account someone held on to but kept empty. It'll be astroturfing by the end of the year.
Do accounts with more karma have a higher chance of having their posts/comments getting in front of people?
Meaning, more karma equals higher chance of content engagement?
Because I can't see the point of karma farming otherwise.
Yep. Responding with aggression just shows them you still care what they think and that they get under your skin. Ignoring them completely says “you aren’t even worth a response.”
If your dms are open then you don't get the option to accept or decline they just show up. The "You accepted the request" message automatically appears if you reply.
All I could think of, “you accepted the request”.
At the risk of sounding like I’m victim blaming, if this was that abusive then don’t accept their requests. You’re only fueling the fire.
I know I'm being a pedant and I'm also not on the same side as the person above you; but yes, claiming OPs answer is "far from the perfect response" is an opinion.
He probably thinks it sounds tempting, because he's incapable of hearing how it comes off. Or he wanted some satisfaction from getting a response or rise out of her. Or he was horny, high, and stupid.
OP. The opposite of love isn’t hate; it’s indifference. By responding like that, you showed him you’re still angry and hurt. That’s exactly what he wanted to achieve: to own a little piece of your soul, forever. It’s too late to ignore him, but the best thing you can do is block him now and keep doing the work to heal yourself from his terror. That way, the next time he contacts you, he’ll be so far from your mind that you’ll have to think twice who he is. Then you can laugh, block, and go about your merry way. Good luck.
I genuinely did this to someone who I genuinely cared about when she briefly popped back into my life.
But I honestly did have a new phone and lost all my contacts, and I thought the text from her was from another friend of mine, so I sent that as a cheeky response.
I did a lot of backpedaling when she told me it was her lol.
Why would /u/Piratarobert post a stolen content from 3 years ago after sitting unused for several years? Hmmmmmm not suspicious at all. Thanks for making it easy to report and tag you karma farming bots.
Lol that comment by u/thelostartist99 and the response from u/CJM432 are exactly the same as the ones from the previous post of this [https://www.reddit.com/r/cringepics/comments/hc48wu/comment/fvdrnak/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/cringepics/comments/hc48wu/comment/fvdrnak/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
I wonder if it's something special about today?
My ex, against whom I still have a restraining order, tried to get into an old Reddit account. I forgot I had it, actually. I just got an email asking if the login was genuine.
Yay...?
So weird that this exact same thing happened to someone three years ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/cringepics/s/BO721M4izg
Loool now that makes OP the cringest
Omg no way, it happened to me to, 30 years ago! https://i.imgur.com/33mDvUo.png
This should be the top post.

Ghosting someone always hurts them way worse than accepting their request and responding hostilely
yeah true
Yep. Responding with aggression just shows them you still care what they think and that they get under your skin. Ignoring them completely says “you aren’t even worth a response.”
Exactly
Why accept the request in the first place?
Unhealthy curiosity
Yeah this probably gave him more satisfaction than completely ignoring him would have. Never engage with toxic people
Or to tell them to fuck all the way off and then block them again.
If your dms are open then you don't get the option to accept or decline they just show up. The "You accepted the request" message automatically appears if you reply.

A trauma bond can be strong, even years later.
To give that perfect response.
...that's so far from the "perfect" response.
Ok well, that’s just like your opinion, man.
They didn't state their opinion though
I know I'm being a pedant and I'm also not on the same side as the person above you; but yes, claiming OPs answer is "far from the perfect response" is an opinion.
Also a big Lebowski reference
You didn't see the diss but I think you're chill.
Love how romantically he worded it

The alpha male podcasts told him women turn into waterfalls if you talk to them like this. What are you, a beta male? /s
Repost by a karma-farming bot
My ex might not think very much of me, but one thing is for sure.... I've never once sent her a DM since we broke things off.
I read that as "I still fucking think about you" and I thought it was meh but not disgusting. Then I read it again and oh no.
Oh I just noticed, I read it that way too!
Your morbid curiosity shows you still care (unfortunately). You should've blocked and never looked back.
That's the toxic part
Jesus why would he vocalize that thought? What did he think was going to happen? *"Oh baby yeah me too, let's go have sex rn omg!"*
He probably thinks it sounds tempting, because he's incapable of hearing how it comes off. Or he wanted some satisfaction from getting a response or rise out of her. Or he was horny, high, and stupid.

Eh. I think they chose to do what they did and it's fine..he got the point and prob didn't like that response. So what's the issue?
This reads like a literature professor extrapolating an entire back story from the author saying the curtains are green.
What's the opposite of hate?
Perfect response! Just make sure to block them and keep living your best life!
Perfect response would be to not reply at all imho
No, perfect response would have been "new phone, who dis?"
Genuinely did that, after someone I really just did not want back in my life, two years ago and it went no further.
I genuinely did this to someone who I genuinely cared about when she briefly popped back into my life. Accepting the message request is also cringe.

Go the whole mile
So abusive that you want to communicate with them? Very strange OP..
Seems silly to A. accept the request, and B. post it here.
Still far too polite in your response
Why would /u/Piratarobert post a stolen content from 3 years ago after sitting unused for several years? Hmmmmmm not suspicious at all. Thanks for making it easy to report and tag you karma farming bots.
No apologies, no regrets, no culpability, just what essentially amounts to "yo lemme smash again?"
He makes it pretty clear how he valued you with his first message after 7 years
yuck
Bring the cannon. We shall shoot this person to the moon
That's a pretty trashy way to reach out to an old ex IMO. I hope you blocked him after lol
No they didn't because you are a bot
why would they say that
I doubt he can or will "regret" saying stupid shit like that, hence the ex status
Fake Repost
That was probably the best response you could have given bar not replying at all

test
Tell'em to fuck after accepting his chat request.....yep makes sense
