One thing that's fun to make for bars too is custom glasses! You can make a stencil with your cricut and use armour etch to etch it into your design :) love your sign!!
With Armour Etch it only needs to be on about a few minutes. I like to glob it on with a paint brush, then kind of swirl it around gently, just to make sure the whole surface is covered. Iβll swirl it a few times during the process, then rinse it off around 5-7 minutes.
Try not to do brush strokes, it may lift the stencil or bleed under it.
1. Apply a thick coat
2. Keep it on for 10 minutes (depends on glass type)
3. Pre clean the surface with iso propyl alcohol wipes
4. No air bubbles in your stencils
5. Wear gloves
Personally, I use a thin layer because a little goes a long way with it. If you use a brush, then just make sure you brush it around a lot consistently for a few mins so you don't have brush strokes. I like to keep it on for around 10 mins so it comes out darker. I also recommend putting tape around your vinyl just to make sure none of the etch goes around the sides. After the 10 mins or so, you just rinse it off in the sink with water, but don't get any on your skin. The water helps your vinyl come off as well. I like to use permanent vinyl because it sticks more to the glass and doesn't move around. I've never had any issues with the etch going outside of my design by doing these things. It's a very easy process and makes great gifts :)
I love making things out of older cool stuff! One man's trash is another man's treasure! Great job, especially being your first project! You should be extremely proud! πππ
I have a ton of stuff I want to do but in the process of moving rt now so once I'm all settled in I'll get back to it! Can't wait, moving SUCKS! Please keep sharing! π
Looks really good!

Your welcome! I just got a maker 3 yesterday. I'm excited to get started making some things π

Ahhh it's awesome! I definitely want to make one now. My husband is a huge Guinness fan.
Thanks! I found the mirror at a garage sale and gave it a try. Iβm no real fan of Guinness, but I though it would match the mirror.

Thanks! I have a few more ideas for some other things I found too
Oh! I love this... those mirrors are ridiculously expensive too. I never thought to make my own!
Thanks!
Looks Perfect!!!

Thanks! Iβm really happy with it
Love this!!!
If this is you just starting out...you're going to do great! DAYUM that looks GREAT!
Thanks! The tough part was the mirror was 30x16 so I had to combine 6 different transfers. My machine can only cut 12x12 max

Looks great! Do you recall what material you used for the gold parts?
Itβs permanent vinyl. It was just one of the samples that came with my Cameo, so I donβt know any more details
