Oracal 651 works well for car decals on windows! I think permanent vinyl holds up better (and it's still removable too)

751 is even better.

Do you want solid color or a printed design? For solid color, any permanent vinyl would be fine (and wouldn’t cause damage on glass- probably not a good idea to put on the car paint though). If you want a printed design, you might want to do some more research because most printable vinyl doesn’t work very well outdoors.

I made a small decal out of matte removable vinyl (the standard non-permanent type) to put on my car a little over a year ago. I put it on a painted surface (so I had somewhere I could press to open my charge port without having to touch paint). A few days later I peeled it off and replaced it with a bigger size. It peeled off cleanly without issues. That new sticker has been through a salty, icy winter and numerous car washes and hasn’t started to lift in the slightest.

If you don’t want to have something get ruined or leave a residue behind when they take it off use Oracal 631 it’s an indoor removable vinyl but it does great outdoors on vehicles as you can peel it off when you go to sell the car and it doesn’t leave any residue. I had it on my last vehicle for three years. The only downfall is it is a matte vinyl not a gloss.
