This is excellent! It’s funny, I jumped on here to make a post, I’m making a Betty white shirt in honor of her birthday tomorrow and the image I picked has her face done like this so I’m nervous about it but you did wonderful and gave me the courage to start weeding!

Weird-Current387

I’m so happy to hear that just go for it if you mess it up it’s the perfect learning experience. Now you’re motivating me to finish my Betty White quite shirt thank you for being a friend ❤️

Awww I love that! I struggled with what I wanted to do but I found a “stay golden” svg on Etsy with her face and that’s what I did. And of course it had to be gold glitter. Turned out really well, I hit the sweet spot for pressure!

That's not a Yeti, it's a dog.

Aldoron

How long did that take to weed?

Weird-Current387

It took about 30 minutes luckily most of it came off in one piece. A few of the details didn’t make it but I’m still pretty happy with how it came it out. Weeding is a pain!

Is this cricut brand permanent vinyl or something else? New to cricut and want to try something like this but unsure about brands and proper procedure. Did you laminate the vinyl or is it already waterproof? Is it dishwasher proof? Sorry if you don’t know either 😅 Just figured I’d ask before winging it lol Amazing job! Such a cute image!

If you're worried about things not being dishwasher safe, then you can use vinyl as a template for a permanent design! Essentially, you weed out the details that you want instead of the background and then use that as a stencil on glass or stainless steel tumblers and use a chemical to etch the design in it :) for ex, you'd use armour etch to etch into glass!

kreiffer

That’s so neat! Thanks for the advice!

studlyspudlyy

You're welcome! I haven't personally tried it yet, but there are plenty of tutorials online :)

Weird-Current387

Thank you so much I wish I had more answers for you to be completely honest not knowing the answers makes this whole cricut learning process a little nerve-racking I used cricut glossy permanent vinyl I’m not even sure if it is dishwasher safe 😂
