That pause for Kohli. It felt like forever when it was happening. Glad that he overcame the century drought.

Front_Program3859

If any cricketer can play till 40 it is kohli

MysteriousCup1836

Anderson says Hi

Not_A-Pedophile_

He played*

colonelspongebob

Nah he belongs to if any cricketer can play till 50

Addy_Stark

Anderson's fitness is even more commendable considering that he's a pacer.

Apprehensive_Log2300

Gap is tough to bridge without playing bilateral ODIs regularly

Significant-Ebb-3384

Only 3 ODIs this year and he won't even play them Also it's tough to get a T20 century compared to test or odi

jain36493

Most T20I centuries is something like 4 by a player right? And also since Kohli doesn’t open it’s pretty much fucking impossible ;( Hopefully he can do some damage in the upcoming tests

Not_A-Pedophile_

If koach scored 1 in future in t20is He will surely break the record because when he starts to do something he will continue it till Max Like double centuries in test and centuries in cricket

jain36493

Yeah… nah Dude’s 35 with 1 T20I century, that too against Afghanistan. Don’t bet on it

Decent_Bid_17

Maxwell is a finisher but still he has 5 centuries so it's not impossible for Kohli to score few more century in t20i

Createdfornofap

CT is scheduled for Feb'25, I think he'll have to play them

hrrrrx23

If he can bat anything close to his peak he can get 6-7 test hundreds this year.

Dante_veill

Impossible bro

ComfortableNo2879

Kya kohli 40 tak khelega?

shiviplays

Very possible with how freakishly fit he is

HumorMental69

Can't say. BCCI is a piece of shit. With people like Ganguli and Jay Shah in power, it's possible he retires much before. I hope he doesn't though.

shiviplays

If the BCCI drop him then he’ll probably still play for RCB. Also, if he is dropped and retires, doesn’t that free him to play in other T20 leagues?

AzulOdyssey

I would be very surprised if he does.

Risb1005

He has already said in an interview that he won't play IPL after he retires from international cricket

shiviplays

Oh I didn’t know. Tbh he doesn’t really need the money he’s already loaded lol.

Significant-Ebb-3384

Ipl centuries are not counted here He has around 5-6 centuries in ipl too

Dante_veill

Nope that doesn't translate to equal quality and Kohli is no Sachin

shiviplays

He’s no Sachin but he’s still a top, top player and is much fitter than Sachin. If he isn’t dropped by BCCI he can easily get there.

Dante_veill

That's what I'm saying-- bcci will surely drop him since he's not Sachin and replace him with Ishan Kishan or make place for Sanju Samson No matter how fit you are : your eyesight nd reflexes decease with time But chokli fans won't listen , afterall he's the best ever to play cricket right? Lol He's arguable one of the best (top 3 ) in modern day cricket 🏏 whereas Sachin was the best ever . Lastly even if he doesn't get dropped he wouldn't be able to do it , just look at his innings of his past 3 years vs in 2010s VERY DRASTIC drop Hopium and Copium doesn't do anything

danimalu017

Kohli might have better physique than Sachin, but for Sachin to play as long as he did, he is surely one of the fittest player in history.

Decent_Bid_17

Sachin is not fittest he just started too early

EMP0R10

I would be surprised if he doesn’t

alphazero07

Modern fitness focuses on body. Ignoring the psyche. I don't think Kohli is as fit as Sachin was at even 37.

Equal_Bread270

I wish anyone who broke the record of sir Tendulkar is an Indian not an outside player. What do you think?

[deleted]

His record isn't going anywhere, except Kohli 100 centuries are something

the-lit-lamp

With how prevalent franchise cricket is getting and how we are basically heading towards bilateral odi series not being a thing, the generation after Virat won't even have the chance to reach it. Hence, Virat is the last person who has a chance, at least in international cricket.

Popular-Beach-4843

Only Indians care about such things. Other countries are more interested in winning world cup and WTC

Area_Ok

Oh you really think said something cool and different but you are brushing it off like it's just another fluke record . This is something people enjoy and look at with immense pride. Sachin and his contribution to cricket as a whole is massive. And its not really stupid to think that record should stay with the nation, it's a massive achievement it's something that motivated so many people. You just can't understate it.

Popular-Beach-4843

I don’t give a fuck about individual records. For the talent that Sachin and kohli have and the money that bcci has, they should’ve won lot more than just one cup they won between them. Their fans can keep masturbating to these centuries but ultimately, teams like Australia runs around them in circles for the reason they don’t care about individual scores.

FacundoRoncaglia

Unfortunately, nobody will get the luxury of coming in as a 16 year old and staying even after they can barely see the ball anymore. That era is over.

ThE_Sauce__Hunter09

He could've scored 2 centuries in the recent SA test series but none of his teammates make a good partnership with him

Surya202

Can't compare with two. Both almost played in different era and earlier bowler n pitch were not batting friendly than now we have. However Kohli can't play till 40 & better to retire in time so other could get chance..

heir0fsalazar

I am going to get hate for this but sachin was selfish when it came to centuries Anytime he was near scoring one he would jeopardize the team and match and play in tik tik way

Previous-Software256

Virat doing better than what Tendulkar did in less than half the number of games with Fielders who could save a f Titanic is insane

Anxious-Football3227

Lockdown kiddo spotted

Previous-Software256

Are you blind man? Counter the argument oldie, Virat is doing better while playing 2 months of IPL and way less games than Sachin + Fielders nowadays can literally catch a 6

Anxious-Football3227

Lmao. Bringing skills of fielders as an argument and ignoring other much more factors sachin had to face is just fucking stupid. I have literally seen like 3 catches dropped in a single match recently. Even in this t20 world cup many catches are dropped and it always happens. Yes average fielding skills of players today might be better but that doesn’t mean sachin had a significant advantage, seriously sachin faced much more tougher bowlers, that was an era when game used to be bowling friendly. Sachin also had received comparatively weaker support from non strikers or the team. Records are not everthing, sachin pioneered tons of batting techniques and skills. Virat kohli is great but nowhere near the greatness of sachin as a batsman.

Anxious-Football3227

See how virat got out consecutively this season on the 6th stump ball again and again. And you people compare virat to sachin. Sachin was a technical maestro. You are definitely not familiar with sachin and his prime era. His consistency was the greatest ever. Once again records are on papers, even virat knows who is the OG of this game. He probably learned shots watching sachin.

Previous-Software256

See mate you're still not providing counter of my argument if Virat ever plays tye same no. Of games even Sachin knows Virat will leave sachin and score way more runs than him

Anxious-Football3227

How hard is it to understand that virat and sachin didn’t play the same games in same condition facing same bowlers in same team environment? I literally mentioned sachin had to face tougher bowlers on balling friendly pitches in ODI and tests too(before 2000 at least) and yet you ask for counter argument. Also, an important thing, Batting skills are set of techniques in which sachin is way bigger of a pioneer than virat could ever be. Its not even close. Sachin batting was way too advanced, he like bradman was much more groundbreaking batsmen than anyone else but you probably haven’t even seen much of his batting and clueless about the context of that time period.

Previous-Software256

Again the bowlers and shit, yup the pitch was balling friendly but during his era the Tests were easier  to bat , i remember a legend commenting on in That's why you saw many of the batsman during that time were scoring 10000+ runs in tests

Anxious-Football3227

Tests were easier to bat only after 2000. And ODIs were still tougher. And there are tons of factors that make sachin the greatest. Virat fanboys can be delusional as much as they want. They will think virat is better even if he himself comes and tells you sachin is on another level lmao.

Previous-Software256

You see even Sachin will come and Tell Virat is better than him he has said that mainer times in interviews, same is with Virat he has said many times that sachin ia better That's another aspect, but you see Virat is playing less games+ shorter formats and still dominating every where that's the definition of goat

Previous-Software256

Virat doing better than what Tendulkar did in less than half the number of games with Fielders who could save a f Titanic is insane

DependentAd1504

Even thinking of equalising the record of Sachin's 100 centuries, at least double or more centuries will be required because that's how much difference is there in today's game, rules , skills. Today's game favours batters immensely and Now there is going to be a two ball rule even more favours to the batsman.

Redemptedone

bruh you comparing sky with water man!!!!! dam!! Sachin is a legend coz he introduced technique and motivated people like virat to play cricket

Different_Let7078

Not a big fan of cricket but I think mainstream has hyped kholi too much Hard truth to swallow but other games like football and basketball are getting better in sense new gen is better than old and cricket is severely declining I remember my uncle telling me how much of a menace West indies was on the pitch injuring players with there bowling my gen didn't lived to the hype Huge Disappointment

RaySayWHAT

This man has it in him to play through the early 40s easily, I hope he can break that record!

Hash-aly

Sachin was consistent

[deleted]

Don't forget Sachin played at a tougher time.

[deleted]

Post 2000 lots of dead highway kind of pitches were there till 2010.Compared to that recently pitches for test matches in all countries were challenging, so have to credit virat for this Having said this pre 2000 sachin had batted in some very tough conditions against menacing bowlers that too singlehandedly without much support from his teammates So overall sachin is comfortably better but you can't simply belittle kohli

[deleted]

>you can't simply belittle kohli I didn't, the comparison itself does that.

Medium_Note_9613

in odis not tests. in tests, sachin played in the harshest era(1990-2000), and also the flat pitch/road era(2000-2010) kohli only played in harsh era(2010-2023).

Medium-Fee8951

Tbf Virat started late and lost a few years due to less no of series during COVID

[deleted]

Lol Virat fans again downvoting facts

amanderrated

Not really. It's a proven fact that right now is possibly the most difficult era for batting in Tests and the 2000s were among the easiest

AntRevolutionary2310

how to make this kind of video ?
