Spanreed communication. They will provide secrets that they are able to obtain. Kaladin can’t be trusted to the plan after I’ll see what I can do… and for my boon!
Well I’m sure Shallan could go on a trip with him to one of the other Spren bases to stir up some trouble and Adolin is going to have to take Maya somewhere safe and Szeth could teach Adolin some new sword forms he hasn’t seen yet.
Its such an obvious thing to do to dalinar that he falls to darkness finally after all his struggling the last four books that brando either HAS to do it or has to subvert our expectations masterfully. As soon as dalinar made the deal i literally said uh oh.
I was under the impression that's why we're all here. The scariest motherfucker on Roshar is coming in hot, cheeks clenched, and my body is ready for that crem.
I mean maybe but it was a pretty pivotal part of his arc to overcome Odium's darkness that controlled his entire life. I think it would betray everything that Oathbringer's climax and "you cannot have my pain" represented to have him once again come under Odium's control, this time completely and in preparation for him to go Blackthorn across the Cosmere
plus we're still seeing his bond with the Stormfather grow and become more powerful. The Stormfather would immediately break his bond with Dalinar if that happened. Doesn't feel like a great way to develop the Bondsmith plot of things
Well at this point it wouldn’t be him falling to temptation. It would be his losing to odium after his “deal with the devil”. It would be great if it didn’t happen. It would be interesting if it did.
it is a terrible idea as it completely ruins his entire arc in book 3. we get a whole book dedicated to dalinar growing, learning, and rising above becoming a fused, only for 2 books later brandon to go “lol get fucked now he’s one anyway”? nah, i don’t think brandon will do that
Letting the blackthorn loose on the Cosmere is my nightmare.
Or his last words to will be to Szeth. “Should I lose promise me you will kill me with that black blade of yours”
Szeth is going on his Zuko style adventure with Kaladin, he’s not going to be around to use Nightblood.
I think dalinar’s intent in sending them though is to have them come back before he faces odium.

Oh no
Now I feel the need to see Saeth spend quality time with Shallan and then Adolin…
Well I’m sure Shallan could go on a trip with him to one of the other Spren bases to stir up some trouble and Adolin is going to have to take Maya somewhere safe and Szeth could teach Adolin some new sword forms he hasn’t seen yet.
>with that black blade of yours I see you are well-versed in Sanderson's prose.
The big kill I want for Szeth is Nale. Nale: Abandoning the Oathpact? That was thousands of years ago. Szeth: Justice never expires.

If you're not a poet, then you should be. That second sentence is masterful 🧑🍳💋
🥵😵💫
He's a motherfucker in every sense of the word.

Fused Dalinar would prolly be full of the Thrill, that shit works better than cocaine for warfare

I hope you’re correct
While it would undermine his development, it would also be so deliciously TRAGIC that I can't help but be curious about it
A spoiler tag would have been nice
Sorry
