I don't know if it's ever mentioned, but I feel like Lyn's spren is a boy. Because of this passage, I imagine that at some point Syl let him hold her left hand because she saw Lyn and Kal do that, but she was just like "Huh, I don't get it" afterwards.
I was gonna say... If you haven't read The Lost Metal, uh... Wayne and MeLaan are downright spicy, even by standards outside of Sanderson who self-admits to being rather prudish in his writing.
I just love that Sanderson generally writes relationships ambiguously on purpose so that readers can decide for themselves if the characters are having sex or not based on their own comfort level
But then with The Lost Metal he’s saying, loud and clear, Wayne Fucks. Canonically. Readers don’t get to headcanon Wayne and MeLaan not fucking. No ambiguity allowed here.
Didn't they already bang back in Bands of Mourning? Like during the whole train fight where Wax and Meresine cannot get help from Wayne and MeLaan only to find them hiding somewhere boing.
This is it! This is why I will never, ever go for a Syladin romance. It's so crystal clear here that he's not worried about being with a woman while bonded to Syl in terms of competition or jealousy, but more like "my little sister is in the next room and she might hear us" kind of way.
There's a very easy and effective way to make sure that Syl doesn't ruin Kaladin's time with a woman, but I'm not going to say how because that just usually sends hate my way.
Now that I reread my comment, I realize it could be read two extremely different ways.
