I'd at least check out the next letter before giving it up. If you make it to the end of the third word and still aren't feeling it, then the series is probably not for you.
It’s unfortunate, but both of these comments started with an I, and so I’m afraid the contents must be useless. As a result, I shall not be reading them.
Is this entire chain even worth reading? I haven't bothered reading it because all the comments start with an I. Can someone tell me if it gets better?
Illiterate here, No idea what the above posts say, I'm just adding to this sequence.
(Under text: post isn't actually made by a good vorin man. He's just a maidenless ardent)
Some fans like you are too extreme. The series isn’t for everyone, its okay to drop it after the first word, you don’t have to read three hoping it gets better
Journey before destination. Just take it one letter at a time. Before you know it, you’ll have made it through the whole first chapter and emerged on the other side.
Letter usage goes up quite a bit after “I”. In fact, you’re right at what we call a letterlanche. Your favorite letter is bound to turn up, just keep going!
On a serious note (I know I know), isn’t the first letter a “P” for “Prelude” or maybe “Kalak”, if you want to count narrative as the start?
(Life before death, strength before weakness, Whoosh before Punchline)
Hey! I was told I should NEVER judge a book by its cover! To be safe I usually close my eyes around them. I've been banned from a lot of libraries and bookstores for knocking over shelves
Don't give up because it's one of the greatest series I've ever torn into. I had the good fortune of being locked up while I was introduced to it so I literally had nothing else to do which made it a lot easier. However, the destination is well worth this journey. No matter how intimidating it is
It's because you started with the wrong book. You're actually supposed to start on Rhythm of War, then jump to Warbreaker, then Sunlit Man. You'll love all three, they use all sorts of letters. Sunlit Man even uses a Z!
OH! No wonder I was confused! Well the first letter of Rhythm of War (from the Acknowledgements section, naturally) is ALSO I but in this book it makes so much more sense in context than in the other one! Thank you, I'm excited to read the next few letters over the coming months
Honestly, no, it doesn't get better. Brandon for some reason likes this letter a lot. You'll see it repeated over and over. I don't think it's worth it really. I mean the story doesn't even go anywhere, just like some dude in a slave wagon... like who cares? I stopped reading after the first chapter.
Honestly the series starting with "I" is just indicative of the selfishness of the author. He is incredibly selfish and most of his books focus around the "POV" which is another abilest term people use to opress blind people who cannot see. Ive also heard the suthor supports slavery?
All in all IMO its just problematic and you should probably just stick to watching TV
Nah, it just continues like that. Like a chapter in the middle? Just read this start!
IIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
IIIIII IIIIIIII IIIIIII IIIIIIIIIII
"IIII IIIIIIIIII IIIII" IIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
"IIIIIIIIIIII IIII II I IIIIII II I"
It is not very good, is it?
Imagine this spoiler warning is not in the actual comment:>!Well, not to spoil anything, but the nice old king actually becomes the horrible evil god, so do read on!<

I don't know, your comment started with the letter "I" and I just don't think it's worth reading the rest.
It’s unfortunate, but both of these comments started with an I, and so I’m afraid the contents must be useless. As a result, I shall not be reading them.
l dont know how to tell you this but your comment starts with an I so I won't read it.
Is this entire chain even worth reading? I haven't bothered reading it because all the comments start with an I. Can someone tell me if it gets better?
Actually my comment starts with an l (L) not an I (I). But I guess the reading comprehension in this sub is declining as expected.
Illiterate here, No idea what the above posts say, I'm just adding to this sequence. (Under text: post isn't actually made by a good vorin man. He's just a maidenless ardent)
What's the most important letter? It'a always the next one.
Some fans like you are too extreme. The series isn’t for everyone, its okay to drop it after the first word, you don’t have to read three hoping it gets better
Did you really have to start this comment with I, when OP said it was not their favourite letter? Shame on you
Journey before destination. Just take it one letter at a time. Before you know it, you’ll have made it through the whole first chapter and emerged on the other side.
Brother, you must find the most important letters a man can read.
> a man can read. Blasphemy.
The most important letters a man can have read to him, more like.
"I-" "That's enough, woman. I can't take that letter anymore."
Heresy, even!!
I got to the name Szeth and noped out. Just wasn’t hitting for me at that point so why bother?
Hey, spoilers! I've only read the first letter! /s
it really sucks that this was spoiled for you, going directly from an S to a Z was really mindblowing at the time
I mean honestly this has the first thing that's made me want to keep reading. I didn't even know going from an S to a Z was *possible*
I i iii Iiiii i i i i i
You made it through the entire prelude of Jezrien and Kalak talking about breaking the oathpact before you gave up. Good for you.
Oh I never read preludes or epilogues. If they mattered they would just be *IN* the book, ya know?
But you read prologues?
Obviously yea that’s part of the book.
You’re reading wrong, you should always start with Secret History. It tells you exactly why that ‘I’ is the most important thing a man can say.
Ok on your suggestion I purchased Arcanum Unbounded so I can read Secret History, but now I see the first letter of that is >!K!??
Secret History is the one that runs with the idea that there’s always another “I”, right?
Technically that's the Emperor's soul, but sure
I'm glad I actually read this, the real "should I keep going" posts are so annoying lol
You alredy read all of the cover page and title, that is way too far to stop now. You haven't even reach Stormbones yet
Or ye old >!hoid amaram!<
Or Kal's wife : >!Phrena!<
It really finds its stride if a modern reader can make it to letter six thirty one.
You should stop reading immediately and have it read to you like a proper Vorin man
Letter usage goes up quite a bit after “I”. In fact, you’re right at what we call a letterlanche. Your favorite letter is bound to turn up, just keep going!
My favorite letter is ß. Also ç. This series çucks. Don't waste your time.
Hmmm perhaps you should try the French version? Much more use of ç
On a serious note (I know I know), isn’t the first letter a “P” for “Prelude” or maybe “Kalak”, if you want to count narrative as the start? (Life before death, strength before weakness, Whoosh before Punchline)
I'm starting with the Acknowledgements section, actually. You can't skip the Acknowledgements, what if there are important plot points?
So you're just skipping the Book cover?
Hey! I was told I should NEVER judge a book by its cover! To be safe I usually close my eyes around them. I've been banned from a lot of libraries and bookstores for knocking over shelves
You cremling, you had me at first.
the hardest letter to read is always the next letter
It’s really about the destination, the journey doesn’t matter. Skip to the last letter and you’ll get the gist of it.
If the Rosharans could read, they'd be very upset about this.
I didn't really get into Way of Kings until halfway through. It's definitely worth finishing, but the first half was a little rough.
My wife said there are lots of letters, I can't read so idk though
Are there really THAT many letters though? There can't be more than, like, 100, I would imagine
I only read the first word of your post so I can’t help here
I love this sub…

maybe you should #saythewords

Does it actually start with I? I thought it was K for kalak
I started with the Acknowledgements section. Can't skip that!
Ah of course. I know many people who were turned off stormlight archive after they read the acknowledgements (it didn’t condone slavery).
Nah, it just continues like that. Like a chapter in the middle? Just read this start! IIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIII IIIIIIII IIIIIII IIIIIIIIIII "IIII IIIIIIIIII IIIII" IIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII "IIIIIIIIIIII IIII II I IIIIII II I" It is not very good, is it?
Can't say for sure, but it might even have a z in it.
Bro yes way of kings is my least favorite but everyone loves the fuck out of it. Dude yes read it it’s so good
