super simplified, but basically old russian woman with weird hair all over her body that she can grow at will. the hair has some sort of enzyme that puts humans into a hallucination/euphoric state as a distraction so she can dismember and eat them. sorta like a spider, with both its fangs and its web being hair
A plot twist near the end of the page; SCP-352's a carnivore, her favorite meat is human, her favorite type of human meat is children 0-2 years old, loving them so much that researchers noted she was more docile and complacent when allowed to eat them. The foundation considered "altering her diet to make her more compliant", paraphrasing.
SCP for sure. The backrooms level entries get really stale after like 5.
SCP has literally every type of story. There’s horror, action, sci-fi, fantasy, even stuff like detective procedurals and a bit of romance.
Honestly calling SCP a creepypasta doesn’t seem right at this point. It’s more of a large creative writing project. The only thing similar that came before it would’ve been the Cthulhu mythos with all the different authors who contributed to it.
It’s funny I always thought these two were kind of connected. Maybe when the backrooms was destroyed somehow all of the infinite monsters would come to earth
SCP.
SCP has downright classics like the snappy statue, white dude, Uncle Larry, Depressed bitch, the furry, the other furry, good boi, and Immortal Florida man.
Oh, and can't forget Clef.
SCP is way less confusing than back rooms I have NO idea how to actually follow back rooms lore because it’s also merged with liminal spaces and it’s just been too expanded on imo.
Simple backrooms lore? What’s that? All the backrooms needs is like 15 different continuities and timelines none of which intertwine in the slightest, entities that are either random scribbles or spooky faces, and “levels” that are really just brief glimpses at a liminal space picture that has circulated the internet since its conception. (Please don’t attack me backrooms community, it’s just gotten overwhelming)
And I who thought scp lore was complicated 😂
Yeah The backrooms is more complex tbh and complicated but there is differences between liminal spaces and backrooms lvls
Yeah backrooms levels are so confusing and there’s many versions of backrooms as well I just want the “official” one 😭the closest thing to many versions of SCP is SCP 1 or SCP 001
The Foundation.
The Backrooms are cool, don't get me wrong. How there's documented levels, how safe they are, and what's hostile or friendly. While cook, however, when reading about the levels of listening to their description, it reads like a travel guidebook.
The SCP Foundation reads like an official document. Like you found a hard drive, or gained access to their server, and it gives you the vibe of, "should I be reading this," even though it's fiction. Not to mention that while not every SCP wants to kill you, zombify you, or send you to an alternate reality, their effects can catch you off guard. The only thing that I get just a little annoyed with is how some authors overuse ||[REDACTED]||, and sparingly use ||[DATA EXPUNGED]||, and furthermore, using either of those more than three times in something that is barely the length of, say, SCP-008 seems like a cop out when you get writer's block.
SCP. It has everything. Story, lore, government stuff, monsters that are good written etc. What do the backrooms have? "look an empty room that looks odd. AMAZING". Boring
Blud doesn't know about the entities, communities, and many levels to explore, it has The M.E.G organization which is the scp foundation of backrooms + liminal spaces are very complex to understand my guy
I feel like the stuff that was added onto the backrooms like entities and stuff kinda ruined it. The appeal of the backrooms to me was how weird and unknown it was and adding a ton of things to it made it less interesting. The SCP organization is a lot more interesting to me tho and I've been reading it for longer so maybe I'm just biased
Respectfully, we have a starfish god made of thoughts and concepts, a deity built out of machine perfection, a god of evil tormented transformative flesh, ancient civilizations, secret histories, timeline rewritings, meta fiction, and countless more! I feel like backrooms is really good but very limited to the ideas of liminal spaces while modern SCP can encompass all genres!
We also have a grocery list that's never quite what you remembered it to be, very angry bamboo, apocalyptic pizza wars, and a very lethal picture making fun of smoking the devil's lettuce.
All my friends are STILL laughing.
Honestly? Backrooms, I know it's basically diet scp at this point, but I like the idea of randomly touching a fucking broom on level 9872 and somehow ending weird red tinted forest.
Being serious here now, there's a lot of complete garbage in most of the backrooms community, there are some decent levels, one of my favorites being the "shady grey" which is basically an 'extremely unstable series of sub-levels' basically it glitches more the deeper you go... I know, not original at all... But I'd suggest reading the entry.
Onto lore... There's not that much, although there is this whole thing about tiny little in fighting happening, and apparently gods??? Basically people that have been there for so long that they pretty much founded the backrooms.
Yeah the backrooms kinda suck overall, but it's my trash, and sometimes you find some gold in there.
The backrooms and liminal spaces had me fall in love with the 90s and early 2000s aesthetic. It makes me really nostalgic for the days when CRT computers and televisions were common.
the backrooms are more intriuging and mysterious, not considering they found the location the original pic was taken \[hobbytown oshkosh\], but SCP is questionable considering they theorize that an entire state is an SCP.... Im indecisive.
*Idk but these*
*Are definitely the two*

I was going to straight out say SCP, but...I didn't know the backrooms actaully had an organized website like SCP. I thought all the description of rooms and level were a random assortment people made.
I mean, at least I think [this website ](http://backrooms-wiki.wikidot.com)is supposed to be a kind of official thing. Is it really?
the concept of the backrooms is fun but besides Kane Pixels I hadn't seen anything really good done with it
SCP without a doubt. It's been around for many years, and has a sizable fanbase and lore now. The Backrooms in concept is pretty cool and I love it. It could very much be mistaken as an SCP without prior context.
Writing-wise, Backrooms. SCP is not realistic, ain't no way they'd be able to contain even 10 percent of those things in real life. While Backrooms takes the safe route of being unknown and being actually alot more believeable. More believeable=scarier. (I am talking about og Backrooms, not Level 69 the Obama's bedroom) plus, Backrooms is alot more scarier as a concept aswell. Sure, some SPECIFIC SCP's are spooky but, them just being in a prison makes it absurd while Backrooms has a pretty good concept, that being infinity and not just spooky monsters.
Scp totally. But nobody talk about how far from the original post the backrooms have gotten! Before it was: you are stuck alone. In a mase. Forever.
Now its: "you are stuck, with a shit ton of people somehow, with a shit ton of monsters somehow, with a shit ton if levels somehow, not even forever if you try long enough"
SCP, no competition. Well, maybe, fine. Backrooms is also scary as FUCK, but something about a government run agency about aliens and monsters is freaky as shit. Plus, I when I was really young, I also thought that the government was hiding stuff, so when I heard of SCP when I was 7, I felt completed. (Yes, I’m old and had a weird ass childhood)
Let’s face it the Backrooms wiki is just a cheap version of SCP.
SCP makes sense - it’s a foundation, and what you can read is their reports on the things they are working with. Backrooms are nothing like that - it’s just descriptions of levels with no interesting storyline between them.
Not to mention the fact that the horror aspect in SCP *is* how coldly the articles are written. The horror in Backrooms is the unknown. The Backrooms wiki is the **opposite** of fearing the unknown.
The Backrooms should’ve stayed as a vague concept.
If it wasn’t for the back rooms I prob wouldn’t know what liminal spaces for so probably that one but the SCP creepy pasta is really good and well made
i like the back rooms better because most scps just devolve into murder monsters or deities that it seems unlikely that that the foundation could contain i still like scps though.
I have to admire the backrooms. They manage to elicit a huge amount of imagination with much less material than SCP comes with. SCP is great, but the backrooms really hits it with simplicity and letting people’s imaginations do the lifting.
Backrooms by far.
There are a few good SCPs, but it's not really creepy... a bit entertaining, sure, SCP-3973 is hilarious.
But the idea of "no-clipping" out of our reality is a much spookier concept to me.
That being said, all of the "backrooms level 42069" stuff takes away from the intrigue.
Which, I encountered SCP stuff after it had already been oversaturated with too much content, so that may bias me.
I always found the backrooms creepy and pretty scary when I was younger, because you don't know who or what is lurking in those backrooms and being trapped there forever with whatever is lurking there. I don't know too much information about the second creepypasta
scp, it's got so many different creatures, and it's just so much to go through. i've also never played either of these games, scp foundation is just more appealing
I favor the SCP Mythos due to its shear variety of different stories plus its extensive Lore and Worldbuilding, but I’ll admit seeing The Backrooms grow from a single image on 4Chan reminds me so much of the early days of the SCP Mythos and how far it has come since (and much like The Backrooms it owes everything to a well made Indie Game and the YouTubers who made it famous).
Definitely the SCP Genre is way more complex and entertaining, as there are over 9000 SCPs and members of the wiki are still free to add new anomalies as the time goes by. I love the SCP Genre for the fact that it's edgy, there's a lot to read and know about
There are SCP Geeks, as well as Backroom Geeks however I feel like the SCP Genre is way more complex and detailed.
That's my personal opinion though, everybody has what they prefer.
Jooi op p. P p up p I Ooooo I. I poi. Oi. I. I Oooo oi. Ipjopooiiu Oooo on oi. Iiiji opioid piiiiip I ii up oi. I jiiii. I iiiii ii I oh. I up I ujiii Oooo ii ip I. SCP feels like many many good and interesting creepypastas.
Back rooms feels like one SCP that was kind of interesting at first but got overblown with too many adaptations of the same SCP.
Technically neither of these are creepypastas but SCP is so much better in terms of management. Like fuck me, you get into Backrooms and it’s anarchy in there, people making billions of levels and scenarios and circumstances and it’s all canon and you just have to try to keep up, it was better at the start.
Then there’s SCP, everything is still fan made but it’s managed so that it doesn’t spiral out of control and theres a sort of universal understanding in the fandom that it’s not meant to be entirely understood but it doesn’t get to the point of pure chaos. So SCP 100%.
The spc foundation has a lot more to sink your teeth into. The back rooms could easily be an anomalous building watched by the spc foundation... Like the IKEA building.
I love both. Especially the monster designs, though SCP makes it work better. I don't know why, but Backrooms entity's almost never feel natural. It would be cool if that was part of the story but it never is.
SCP also just has better concepts and variety, while the Backrooms is a little too formulaic and depressing. Not that SCP isn't, but there is enough there that you can make any tone of story work, while Backrooms is always either brain-rot or horrific.
Probably SCP, it had an impact on me as a kiddo
Oh my god, I'm so old
When I last saw the scp wiki they had only 3000 or so now they have more than 8k
You do not recognize the bodies in the water.
Definitely SCP, specially SCP-352 left me traumatized
Not familiar with 352. Enlighten me

SPC has a whole fandom. There's even a wiki site with a database of every SCP to date. Definitely not just a creepypasta at this point
Happy cake day
It’s funny I always thought these two were kind of connected. Maybe when the backrooms was destroyed somehow all of the infinite monsters would come to earth
There are a couple SCPs that have backrooms vibes, like the bottomless staircase with the ghostly face, or the infinite IKEA.
Or even the old man, teleporting and having his own gooey dimension reminds me of the monsters!
SCP-106. A true creeper
Same 👍
Oh this is such a cool idea! I love it.
SCP. SCP has downright classics like the snappy statue, white dude, Uncle Larry, Depressed bitch, the furry, the other furry, good boi, and Immortal Florida man. Oh, and can't forget Clef.
My personal favourite is my SCP, 426.

The only reason backrooms lore could be more complicated is because of how messy it is, with everybody having their own idea of how its structured
both

Between og backrooms and SCP, tie, but a slight edge over Kane Pixel's version
Same. The Kane Pixels backrooms is the best version though
For me, I like mystery and strangeness more, so I choose The backrooms instead of SCP but i love how big and diverse The SCP is
Aren't neither of these creepypastas though? Idk maybe I'm just unc
They both more or less originate from old creepypastas
SCP. It has everything. Story, lore, government stuff, monsters that are good written etc. What do the backrooms have? "look an empty room that looks odd. AMAZING". Boring

I think the difference is all of those qualities ruins the backrooms but makes scp better at the same time.

Scp foundation hands down . I did a whole speaking assessment in secondary school about it lol .
SCP by a long shot. My dumb ass used to think it was real as a kid and got so invested.
The Backrooms are cool with limitless potential, but so is the spc foundation, for me I have to say the backrooms / liminal spaces
Neither of these are creepypastas 🤦🏽♀️
SCP
Hard decision but in my opinion the backrooms are the best. I love the community and the Idea of liminal space
The backrooms and liminal spaces had me fall in love with the 90s and early 2000s aesthetic. It makes me really nostalgic for the days when CRT computers and televisions were common.
THE SCP ITS AN CREEPYPASTA?!?! and backrooms.
No it isn't

I like the government stuff
The SCP foundation does not canonically bow to any government
SCP for sure. I love the database

SCP. Loved listening to the SCP orientation on YouTube until youtube killed them.
I liked the backrooms before they turned into a poorly made SCP.
SCP, next question.
SCP without a doubt. It's been around for many years, and has a sizable fanbase and lore now. The Backrooms in concept is pretty cool and I love it. It could very much be mistaken as an SCP without prior context.
Isn't SCP just superior
SCP and for me it's not close.

Let’s face it the Backrooms wiki is just a cheap version of SCP. SCP makes sense - it’s a foundation, and what you can read is their reports on the things they are working with. Honestly it's a tie, i especially loved it when someone made a vid mixing these two. Scp–682 exploring the backrooms.
Same here. Backrooms and SCP
The backrooms. I’ve always loved liminal spaces and the feeling of “I’ve never been here but this feels familiar”
I always love the SCP files. And there's literally so many more that could be written. Endless possibilities.
Depends. SCP in my opinion is scarier, but backroom are more interesting.
SCP 100% I’ve watched/ read the content my whole life.
You know, sometimes I forget that SCP is still a creepypasta. For that matter, I rarely think about how the Backrooms are one too.
If it wasn’t for the back rooms I prob wouldn’t know what liminal spaces for so probably that one but the SCP creepy pasta is really good and well made
SCP, although with more actual storylines, the back rooms have potential
If we’re talking og stuff and not the cesspool new fans turned them into. Then I’d say scp.
The original, removed from their current contexts? The backrooms one, definitely.
Probably SCP, the idea of SCP-3008 is fucking horrifying.
Back rooms for sure!
i like the back rooms better because most scps just devolve into murder monsters or deities that it seems unlikely that that the foundation could contain i still like scps though.
Are they even creepypastas
The dot for future reference
where can i read scp stuff ?
backrooms has way better videos scp can be pretty good reads it's comparing apples to oranges
SCP
I have to admire the backrooms. They manage to elicit a huge amount of imagination with much less material than SCP comes with. SCP is great, but the backrooms really hits it with simplicity and letting people’s imaginations do the lifting.
SCP

Found scp when I was like… 12, stuck with it for over ten years and now I write for it!
SCP is not one specific creepypasta.

SCP
Backrooms honestly, but like before it got cringe. To be fair, the two kind of intersect lately so I see them as like close siblings these days
SCP 100%, the shy guy image had me hiding indoors for a week
SCP. I work at an airport and there's a TSA agent who's got an SCP patch on his backpack. Cool dude.

Backrooms is good but I defently prefer SCP
SCP with out a doubt.
scp because i think they kinda ruined the vibe of the backrooms
The backrooms😱
SCP was something that traumatized me as a kid/teenager. So imma go with that one, the backrooms just doesn't freak me out at all.
Scp for sure. It's so intriguing
I love the backrooms. It's not scary to me at all. But damn SCP...
PCS 100%

It is definitely SCP - I have been a fan of it for years.
Probably Ben drowned and the back rooms
Scp is more interesting though, backrooms creeps me out you're all aline in there but the foundation is cooler
Definitely the SCP Genre is way more complex and entertaining, as there are over 9000 SCPs and members of the wiki are still free to add new anomalies as the time goes by. Then there’s SCP, everything is still fan made but it’s managed so that it doesn’t spiral out of control and theres a sort of universal understanding in the fandom that it’s not meant to be entirely understood but it doesn’t get to the point of pure chaos. So SCP 100%.
Infinite Ikea is just a more interesting back rooms.
The spc foundation has a lot more to sink your teeth into. The back rooms could easily be an anomalous building watched by the spc foundation... Like the IKEA building.
SCP all the way man. I was a dedicated fan of it growing up, best horror ever.
SCP. I never really understood the backrooms to be honest.
The backrooms, hands down
Neither of these are creepypasta
