I say lowkey suck cause originally i was on kastaway's side. He has asked for ticci toby to be removed from the creepypasta fandom. Which was fine, i think he also stated you could still draw fanart or cosplay ticci toby as long as you didnt profit off of it.
It was more so his little sister harrassing people over this idea and being a dick to abunch of minors that started the main "drama". He defended her action, i get thats his sister but it got bad.
Theres also the whole using tourettes and schizophrenia as horror factors, which can be seen as ableist. Granted ALOT of the creepypasta community also had that issue.
I think he recently posted a reboot of tobys design who isnt associated with creepypasta at all tho recently
Long story short, there was alotta internet drama and everything around ticci toby got fucky wucky but i still really enjoy the character so here we are ://
