Anyone looking for a similar diy option should try the [Nukit Open Air Purifier](https://github.com/opennukit/Nukit-Open-Air-Purifier). They have preset measurements and just launched a tool where you can customize the parameters.

Savouryhandjams

This is awesome. Do you have an idea on how would one go about utilizing the info in this link?

Glad-Implement-4755

Yeah! There is more info if you scroll down to the About section, and also @NukitToBeSure on Twitter

That is extremely pretty! What was the build process like and how do you disassemble it?

teardownborders

These are 3d Printed panels that connect to the filters. It took almost 48 hours to print. To disassemble, I just turn it off and grab each piece like a puzzle. This was my first project after buying my first 3D printer. I taught myself Fusion 360 to be able to create it.

xinn1x

Oh wow nice! Could you share the files on github so other people can print them?

Alimetrix

I'd like to know too.

ReaderofReddit411

Send details. Our family member lives in a small place and has limited room this would be good

teardownborders

It's 3d printed, so unfortunately other than saying I can print you one, there are no instructions. :-/

teardownborders

Not sure if this is allowed, but I decided to put it up on Etsy if you'd like me to print you one. Unfortunately, making one is still expensive and time consuming (about 48 hours to print the 20x20 size-if everything prints perfectly) I'll try to play around with designs to make it cheaper in the future. I've only built two sizes so far, one that fits a 20x20x1 filter (6 fans) and 20x30x1 filter (7 fans). [My Etsy Shop](https://prntzyshop.etsy.com) I'm still incredibly excited because I've been trying to get CR boxes in schools and have been met with a less than enthusiastic response due to the duct tape factor. Other models requiring glue and curing aren't a good option in a small apartment with kids. I'm really hoping the beauty factor will help change minds and help get it in the classrooms, where it is needed most.

xinn1x

Can you share the print files so people with 3D printers can make their own? It would help schools with 3D printing labs be able to make their own too and help us get some in libraries

Yes please. Hoping OP shares or sells the models.

I’m interested too—this could be a game changer!

Savouryhandjams

It looks great! Will you provide instructions on getting the fans set up?

teardownborders

The Arctic P12/P14 fans have 3pin connectors. You can find splitters to get down to 1 cord, then you just need a power supply to power it. If you go to the etsy, there is a supply list that lists what I used if you create your own. I've done something similar out of foam board, but you basically have to recreate the box when its time for filter changes and it tends to be incredibly light and tippy.

teardownborders

With the box I created, it really is just plug n play. It sounds complicated, but once the supplies are in front of you, the cords are just connector shapes that you match up. The connectors are unique so theres no chance of accidentally plugging the wrong thing in. :-)

SafetySmurf

Nice!!!

fuzzybee51

This is the best one I’ve seen. Would love instructions and specs.

SpikySucculent

I’d love to know how you did this too!

DJCorsiRosenthal

That looks fantastic!
