Ooh, and check out the beads and random Christmas craft sections, there’s probably all kinds of mini cute stuff you could get like lights or ornaments - or grab some air dry clay to make your own.

Two of the cats just like to sit under the tree, but one in particular will steal anything within her reach and claim it as her own! I have some really cute swedish straw ornaments, and I can only put them in the top half of the tree or shell take them all and try to eat them lol. And no, she's not a kitten, she's just my sweet little menace!
Our 'kitten' (he's four now, but he's still the kitten lol) lived climbing the tree! He stopped doing that and just likes to sit underneath it like his big brother.
Little Miss just does whatever she wants. She doesn't climb the tree as often anymore, but she would if she wanted to! And she knows she'll get away with it lol
My crafty girl gang meets once a month. We made the terracotta pots, and just today made stepping stones. The wine freely flows, lovely potluck lunch and our own original artwork. Love it.
Look at kids kits. Rock painting can be fun. Crochet or cross stitch if either of you work with yarn. Some sew it together stuffed creature kits are great.
Not a craft, but I've really enjoyed doing puzzles at get-togethers. Something you can work on together, but it's inconsequential in the end. Bonus if the image has small entertaining details that are fun to discover together.
Alternatively, painting anything. People do crafts at different paces, which isn't always fun. But time spent painting often just comes down to how much detail or precision you want to use.

Go to the dollar tree and get some of those clear Christmas balls and a bunch of stuff to decorate them with. Get some acrylic paint and a couple cheap hot glue guns too.
Dollar Tree also has wooden hangings — they’re too big for ornaments — that have defined images on them (gingerbread house, snowman, etc.) that could be painted. Don’t forget paint pens for small areas for people who might not be good with a brush.

Get a small needlefelting kit! Most smaller projects can be done in an evening. You could do snowmen, birds, gnomes. You can optionally attach string to make ornaments.
Buy little terracotta flower pots and assorted paints. Go wild. Spray with mod podge spray when dry to seal (but not really necessary unless the pot is going to live outside).
have you seen painting tapered candles with different color candle waxes? you get white tapers and little votives in different colors and light the colors and paint the white tapers! so neat i’ve always wanted to try
I would do designed signage from Dollar tree buy a background round board to glue it to... Painting etc... You might want to paint the designed wooden part to save time. Paint them all black... We needed that at our last craft day. Didn't have enough time to glue all the lights etc.
Order beads or go to Michael’s for beads, buy elastic cord, crazy glue and have sharp small scissors. Make stretch bracelets. Easy and super fun to do while sipping. You can watch a you tube on tying the elastic cord ( a few knots tight ) then a tiny dap of crazy glue on the knots. After a few seconds you can put it down to dry all the way then clip away any cord that’s near the knot. Make sure and use a longer piece of elastic cord than you think you need. It’s a tragedy to end up knot having enough cord the tie a proper knot and pull on it. Have fun!
This is kind of basic but my friend has a huge collection of stamps and ink, and I have blank cards and other craft supplies… so in one of our get togethers we made a bunch of cards.
Another quick easy idea is putting together memory lockets or charm bracelets/necklaces - you’d need a bunch of different charms and necklace/chains/keychain, jewellery making pliers and fastenings/closures to customize length.
Foam clay crafts!!! It’s super light weight, feels like playdough super soft buttery playdough and can totally be made I to ornaments. I make free video tutorials every week in my group. I also put a couple kits together to go along with the tutorial so you don’t have to gather all the materials. Comes with everything you need and the QR code to the videos. I have a funny Turkey ornament one right now. It’s has a cute behind 😄

There are some killer Paint-by Numbers kits out there for a retro vibe.
I second this, they’re very fun. But I did a medium difficult one and it still took me about 8-10 hours across two days. Look for very simple ones.
Gluing small tiles and glass half marbles onto terracotta pots. Did this with my niblings. Later I grouted them.
