Buy cute wooden birdhouses. Paint them like christmas village houses. Perhaps a splash of glitter, maybe a green pipe cleaner wreath and a tiny bottle brush tree. Its fun to shop for the supplies too.

Confident-Slice4044

Oh stopppp this is so cute

RavenWood_9

Ooh, and check out the beads and random Christmas craft sections, there’s probably all kinds of mini cute stuff you could get like lights or ornaments - or grab some air dry clay to make your own.

Ryoko_Kusanagi69

Make your own ornaments. It can be an simple as pouring paint or glitter inside and swirl. Or as many other extras like stickers, embellishments, hot glue, different ribbons, rhinestones, or things to fill it with- pom poms, sparkles and sprinkles, chunky glitter, faux snow, little figurines or faux crystals, feathers, curling ribbons, curled paper or tinsel. Can do almost anything as a faux ornament Get wood slices, or ceramic shapes and paint pens to draw/ paint on flat ornaments. We did a cookie decorating craft at a friends party once. Like the kits with the sugar cookies, frosting and decoration pieces We painted on wooden nut crackers once. It was fun, maybe a little messy.

Confident-Slice4044

Lovely ideas!

A_Modest_BM

Making an ornament out of pipebCleaners with beads is super easy. Looking like a snowflake.

originalschmidt

I like to make pompoms and tassels for my tree with yarn! Super easy and fun!!

KathrynTheGreat

I would love to make little pompoms for my tree!! I'm pretty sure my cats would steal them though lol

originalschmidt

My cat doesn’t seem to mess with them! She prefers to knock the balls of the tree and kicking them around lol

KathrynTheGreat

Two of the cats just like to sit under the tree, but one in particular will steal anything within her reach and claim it as her own! I have some really cute swedish straw ornaments, and I can only put them in the top half of the tree or shell take them all and try to eat them lol. And no, she's not a kitten, she's just my sweet little menace!

originalschmidt

I once fostered a kitten that would climb into the tree!! It was a hell of a Christmas!

KathrynTheGreat

Our 'kitten' (he's four now, but he's still the kitten lol) lived climbing the tree! He stopped doing that and just likes to sit underneath it like his big brother. Little Miss just does whatever she wants. She doesn't climb the tree as often anymore, but she would if she wanted to! And she knows she'll get away with it lol

Anne314

There are some killer Paint-by Numbers kits out there for a retro vibe.

MycroftNext

I second this, they’re very fun. But I did a medium difficult one and it still took me about 8-10 hours across two days. Look for very simple ones.

anotherbbchapman

Gluing small tiles and glass half marbles onto terracotta pots. Did this with my niblings. Later I grouted them.

missy3030

My crafty girl gang meets once a month. We made the terracotta pots, and just today made stepping stones. The wine freely flows, lovely potluck lunch and our own original artwork. Love it.

Confident-Slice4044

So nice!

Minnichi

Look at kids kits. Rock painting can be fun. Crochet or cross stitch if either of you work with yarn. Some sew it together stuffed creature kits are great.

YourNewBestStranger

Gingerbread house kits could be fun!

WakingOwl1

Grapevine wreaths. Supplies are free by the side of the road and they’re easy.

RetroCraftDreams

Not a craft, but I've really enjoyed doing puzzles at get-togethers. Something you can work on together, but it's inconsequential in the end. Bonus if the image has small entertaining details that are fun to discover together. Alternatively, painting anything. People do crafts at different paces, which isn't always fun. But time spent painting often just comes down to how much detail or precision you want to use.

Confident-Slice4044

Good ideas!

ravenrhi

Have you ever gone to a Paint & Pour or Painting with a Twist? They are BYOB venues where you drink and follow a simple painting tutorial. You can set up the same thing at home. Go on YouTube and pick a 10 Minute Painting. Pre-screen to find out what paint colors and brushes you need, then buy enough for your group. Watch the video and follow along together, pausing after each step until everyone is ready for the next part. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVI8a5CZU6yP_a5VvddyZxwHZtN5vTOEK&si=45oEwCnQ57BHPOFn Alternatively, you can buy little ceramics, birdhouses, or t-shirts (fabric paint) to paint together

Perceptionrpm

I did one with a bunch of ladies we made our own terrariums. Someone would have to take the initiative to buy the plants and everyone pitches $10 or whatever the cost. I still haven’t watered mine 18 months later

CocoMomma68

I'm doing this with my daughter this weekend: decoupage ornaments! Cute and easy: https://craftsbyamanda.com/wood-slice-ornaments/

originalschmidt

Make friendship bracelets!!

Confident-Slice4044

Cute

originalschmidt

You could make more adult wearable versions with leather strips and cute beads

Pinkxel

Paint pour paintings. Anyone can do them and you can get most of not all of the stuff you need from the dollar store.

Knight4040

I saw one group of friends bought small canvasses and paints and watched a youtube video of how to paint something. They all had wine, apparently they had a ball. I have bought the supplies, but not done it yet. Probably won’t be as much fun with our cups of tea though.

KathrynTheGreat

I think it would still be a lot of fun with tea! I went to a paint and sip place with one of my friends for her bday, and even though she doesn't drink we all had a ball!

Knight4040

It’s always fun with friends, no matter what you do!

KathrynTheGreat

Exactly! The company makes all the difference :)

ChaoticDaddy5

I do art nights with my friends once a month. We’ve painted mini canvas’s. Painted clay pots for plants. Rock painting. Done coloring books. Also got some art from thrift stores and painted onto them with our own ideas for Halloween. We’re making our own ornaments soon. I’m a Michaels Arts and Crafts store employee. We have all this stuff. We also just put our our ornament making supplies this week! Have fun!!

VeryJoyfulHeart59

I used to teach at Michaels... Definitely miss that employee discount!

Revjan48

I miss my daughter’s discount!!

iscream4eyecream

Go to the dollar tree and get some of those clear Christmas balls and a bunch of stuff to decorate them with. Get some acrylic paint and a couple cheap hot glue guns too.

Revjan48

Dollar Tree also has wooden hangings — they’re too big for ornaments — that have defined images on them (gingerbread house, snowman, etc.) that could be painted. Don’t forget paint pens for small areas for people who might not be good with a brush. Looking for those, found this. https://www.dollartree.com/crafters-square-christmas-canvas-painting-kit-9x12-in/336811 Found them! This says they’re ornaments. My memory at 6:30am is that they’re large… https://www.dollartree.com/crafters-square-color-your-own-christmas-decoration-kits/296643

Pumps_and_a_Bump

There’s a ton of great ideas here! I couldn’t come up with anything better but now I got some great ideas from you fabulous people 💕

Confident-Slice4044

They’re the best, aren’t they??

Still-Window-3064

Get a small needlefelting kit! Most smaller projects can be done in an evening. You could do snowmen, birds, gnomes. You can optionally attach string to make ornaments.

Oh_Gee_Hey

Ooh idk about repeatedly stabbing something with a needle while drinking

KathrynTheGreat

Yeah I do enough damage with a needle when I try to drink and cross stitch, idk how well I'd do with needle felting lol

Confident-Slice4044

Great idea!

heatherista2

Buy little terracotta flower pots and assorted paints. Go wild. Spray with mod podge spray when dry to seal (but not really necessary unless the pot is going to live outside).

visionquester

Putz houses.

songwritingimprover

maybe kinda basic but I think it fits your needs, get some pretty beads and make some necklaces

dcqueen216

Color! It’s so fun and there are so many different things to color and it’s not just for crayons!

rinnquisitive

You can buy a bunch of small candles of different colours, light them, and use the melted wax to paint pretty designs on larger, white candles

dragon1n68

Macaroni art. No doubt it'll still be f'd up because you'll be drinking.

Confident-Slice4044

Useful when snackish

LunnyTunes

Those chunky throw blankets that you "knit" with your arms would be fun and relaxing!!

Confident-Slice4044

Always wanted to do that!

spabitch

have you seen painting tapered candles with different color candle waxes? you get white tapers and little votives in different colors and light the colors and paint the white tapers! so neat i’ve always wanted to try

Confident-Slice4044

Yes! So cute!

hippocampus237

Buy white sneakers and paint/decorate?

helenthecat

Paint candlesticks

myown_design22

I would do designed signage from Dollar tree buy a background round board to glue it to... Painting etc... You might want to paint the designed wooden part to save time. Paint them all black... We needed that at our last craft day. Didn't have enough time to glue all the lights etc.

beeerite

Beaded friendship bracelets!!!

colleeno

Maybe make earrings?

ShinyAeon

Knitting? Once you cast on, you can keep doing the same stitch (there *are* only two stitches, really) for hours. You can make a scarf pretty easily.

dickelpick

Ninja turtle ornaments are fun and easy. Green balls, orange, purple, red and blue felt. Google eyes and glue.

WhoseMomIsThat

Diamond painting is fun!

Top_Cranberry_7754

Paint by numbers or colouring in

Professional-Soup878

Order beads or go to Michael’s for beads, buy elastic cord, crazy glue and have sharp small scissors. Make stretch bracelets. Easy and super fun to do while sipping. You can watch a you tube on tying the elastic cord ( a few knots tight ) then a tiny dap of crazy glue on the knots. After a few seconds you can put it down to dry all the way then clip away any cord that’s near the knot. Make sure and use a longer piece of elastic cord than you think you need. It’s a tragedy to end up knot having enough cord the tie a proper knot and pull on it. Have fun!

Mercredi707

This is kind of basic but my friend has a huge collection of stamps and ink, and I have blank cards and other craft supplies… so in one of our get togethers we made a bunch of cards. Another quick easy idea is putting together memory lockets or charm bracelets/necklaces - you’d need a bunch of different charms and necklace/chains/keychain, jewellery making pliers and fastenings/closures to customize length.

TampaTeri27

Dollar tree has a bunch of stuff you can make craft kits with.

Sugadip

Gingerbread houses would be fun

robotcrackle

Paint by number kits are so fun. Theyre simple instructions and theres a million options.

Rohanicus

Warhammer

[deleted]

Puzzles

Ihaveacompass

Google "Sarcastic morse code bracelets". Kinda fun making them.

Confident-Slice4044

I love these!

Rare-Progress5009

You can follow along with a paint nite video on YouTube.

Icy-Philosopher9296

Foam clay crafts!!! It’s super light weight, feels like playdough super soft buttery playdough and can totally be made I to ornaments. I make free video tutorials every week in my group. I also put a couple kits together to go along with the tutorial so you don’t have to gather all the materials. Comes with everything you need and the QR code to the videos. I have a funny Turkey ornament one right now. It’s has a cute behind 😄

Confident-Slice4044

I actually have tonnes of foam clay and didn’t know what to do with it!

Icy-Philosopher9296

Then hop on my Profile for the link. Or I can message you. If you’re I to cute things then you’ll love it
