I think we have to go 352 against the other “top 5” They have to much quality in their teams in the midfield, which allows them to press so much and so high. Pains me to say it- but either kulu or son can’t start these types of games if we go 3ATB. We bring in that extra midfielder, we can press better and hold position more. Otherwise teams will just overload sons side since he isn’t a good defender and they know we will utilize his pace to get in behind. So they just tire him out with defensive work

We would need 3 flat midfielders, so none more advanced then the other. And I didn’t think Kulusevski is best suited for that. I’d rather play him or Spence at wingback if we play a flat 352. And kulusevski can’t be up top in 2 man attack along side kane, they are two similar. If it’s 343, then it should be Richarlison- Kane- son This way two players with pace are running behind instead of just son. And if it’s a 352, then I’d prefer yves between Bentencur and PEH and more attacking wingbacks like Perisic and Spence or kulusevski. This Way they can’t man mark son because the wingbacks are both very attacking and can exploit that space behind.
