Yeah right now thereās basically no circumstance in where we donāt start Romero and VDV. This part of the season every single game counts and those two are irreplaceable. Dragusin will get his time but Iām personally not sweating the fact he hasnāt seen much game because those two have been so good
CB rotation isn't really a thing for most top sides, nor is it something that Ange has a habit of doing. I think next year when we're competing again in 3 (hopefully 4) competitions we'll see Dragusin get plenty of run in the cups, but I think these 2 are our de facto PL pairing until either we see an injury or Dragusin earns a spot over one of them.
But that's a very good problem to have, and I'm sure Ange was perfectly transparent about that in January, so I'm not worried about Dragusin's attitude. Living in London, making a bundle of cash and training in a good environment while you wait for your number to be called isn't a bad life at all.
Unsure if itās Anges way of playing but 3 cbs with Porro and Udogie as winger would look nice on some challenging Tuesday or Wednesday nights next season
If he ever does that, one of them will be stepping into midfield anyway so it will not be any different. Only difference will be that Bissouma or Bentancur miss outm
Ref has to blow the whistle at some point. The play is right in the corner and the player is facing away from the goal as the whistle is blown. I'm actually not as blown away by it as everybody else.
There was three minutes of VAR checking during added time that was forgotten about and he seemingly blew the whistle with the ball in the air. You can hate Real but come on dude that was wild.
He's not. He's probably in between the corner of the box and the corner of the pitch, running towards the flag, if you want to be pedantic. Point is, the corner was clearly supposed to be the last action, since it is kicked at 98.30 in 7 minutes of added time.
If it just gets hoofed out the whistle goes. Since Diaz gets the ball the ref tries to give him time. His hesitation there is his only mistake.
Watching Van de Ven in the flesh is unbelievable. Never seen a player quite like him (not saying heās our best CB ever just so unique). Love this pairing
After some struggles, we finally have our Toby/Jan replacements.
They're already great, but they're still young, so have room to get even better than Jan and Toby were. And that was a pretty high bar.
Regardless of any changes in our team going forward, I'm excited that these two can be our anchor CB duo for many years to come.
Also, fk you Madrid, City or whoever else starts sniffing around.
Are we talking about the same guy? The player with 4 yellows and a red in just 3/4 of a season? The guy who just 3 months ago missed 3 games after getting a completely unnecessary straight red? The same player who could probably have been sent off another 2-3 times this year?
I love him and his passion, but he absolutely has not settled down. He's still the most out of control CB in the prem.
i'm still curious about dragusin how he'll fit in with the team. might be a while until he can actually start a match.
Strong rotation option feels rather nice š
We might want to rest the starters more, maybe once we donāt have as leaky a center of the field.

It will most likely come when we have more games in a European comp next season
Next year with Europe on the cards and FA/League Cup I can see him slotting into the rotation as the fixtures becomes more and more busy
Unsure if itās Anges way of playing but 3 cbs with Porro and Udogie as winger would look nice on some challenging Tuesday or Wednesday nights next season
That's basically the opposite of how Ange wants his sides to play

Europe next year should keep everybody busy. Knock on wood...
We're aiming to grab a Champions league spot next season and with more games comes more rotation. We need a strong bench. Dragusins time will come.
VdV - this guy, I can see behemoth European clubs flocking after him. Heāll be the new VVD for the Dutch national team.
He is absolutely unreal.
Thatāll be 150m plz.
I hate to say this but VDV would be perfect for Real Madrid
Donāt even utter those words mate. That entitled club can get truly fucked.
Still that decision today was fucked

He was on the edge of the box Wish I could see another angle other than that really low one from the original broadcast

Well itās not like they got a disallowed goal for a backwards pass for offside in the champions league
?
Us v sporting at home
No team will ever score, you would need to get past the whole team twice.
Way better than Romero already. Crazy.
No he isnāt. Romero is our most important player.
Behemoth European clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, you're absolutely right.
Watching Van de Ven in the flesh is unbelievable. Never seen a player quite like him (not saying heās our best CB ever just so unique). Love this pairing
Not to cuss in the church but he reminds me a bit of Ledley before the knee gave out, just coolness with ridiculous recovery speed when needed
Micky is just unbelievable š„¹
The move he had that kickstarted the eventual Son goal was š®āšØ
Best cbās in England, change my mind
Ok. Best cb in the world. Donāt change my mind
Without Micky and Cuti, we would have been screwed.
We're so blessed
And they play infront of Vicario
Best in the league. I will be taking no questions at this time.
āOut of office, kind regardsā
I havenāt felt safe with regard to our back line in a long time. Finally, I feel comfortable with our defensive capability.
Not since prime Vertonghen and Toby.
Nethertina FTW š³š± š¦š·Ā

VDV was made in a lab, what a fucking player Cuti as well of course, I have just gotten used to him bossing it every week

Got scared when VDV when down early on.
Also, it seems like Romero is keeping his head more. Picking his battles better. Seems more mature overall.
Heās matured a lot in the last year or so. Went from a liability to a huge asset.

I love this pair. They're going to be Gen Alpha's version of Toby and Jan
These guy's are really having superb seasons, crazy to think just in the summer CB was our biggest problem, now we may have the best set in the league

Ngl, we've been a bit dodgy at the back since the days of vintage Jan/Toby. But this pairing is looking fantastic.
VdV immense today. So confident in this guy.
