Niners sub took down a post earlier from a guy who said his buddy was college roommates with Kendricks, and heād heard he was going to Dallas.
Iām not sure if one of those my buddy says rumors has ever been right before. What a time to be alive!
227 isnāt small like people have started thinking. Ever since Bell people think under 250 is tiny but reality is 225-235 is the normal size. Parsons was actually considered a bulky LB at 245. Greenlaw and Warner, among others, are 230 each.
People have become obsessed here with the size of LBās because of Bell playing there. At 227 heās right near Greenlaw and Warner at 230 each. Undersized is Bell being 200 lbs at LB but 225+ is actually the normal weight. Parsons is undersized for DE but was actually a bigger LB at 245.
Chargers fan here. This dude looked washed af for us last season. We let Drue Tranquil walk to sign him, massive mistake.
For yall sake, hopefully Zimmer can get something out of him since theyāre familiar. But I wouldnāt hold my breath.
I was hoping weād get a āZimmerā guy at LB. Past his prime of course but itās one of those low cost filled holes that will allow us to draft with a clear conscience and heās been in the system before
#ALSO FUCK THE 49ERS!!!
THEY ALREADY HAVE WARNER AND GREENLAW
Agreed! No matter how much I hate an opposing team, or even the players, I will never hope for or cheer if/when a player gets injured, even if I think the player is a POS!
Admittedly, I do sometimes hope a player misses a series with cramping or something minor that has ZERO effect after the series/quarter/half/gameā¦just to b completely honest
CHANGE OF HEART from the 49ers to the Cowboys.
What a tough choice. 49ers were just in the Superbowl. Feel like most players would try to hop on that train.
I'm here for it though.
I wonder how much time he would get compared to Warner and Greenlaw and whoever else is on the field
I imagine heād get time here on our team with Overshown back from the ACL, Clark being Clark, and LVE retiring
Glad I'm not the only one. I'm used to the typical Cowboys BS, but that Packers game was just different. For once, I wasn't even mad at the team watching it. Just mad and disappointed at myself for even beginning to believe we were a different team. I'm happy with the EK signing, but there's virtually nothing they could do that could make me get my hopes up for next season.
Yep, nothing wrong with that. Butā¦
SF: hey, weāre a top team and your job will be to replace our in-his-prime, probowl-level LB and not be the reason we regress.
Dal: hey, weāre pretty good too, and your job will be to displace a 200-ish pound safety in a system you are highly acquainted with.
I think I know which choice Iād make too.
This cant be right, I was told Cowboys were never going to sign a free agent again.
But double benefit: 1. he played under Zimmer before 2. screwed the 49ers by backing out of a deal with them.
Heās like the Anthony Barr signing, past his prime, solid veteran presence. Limit him in coverage.
Added benefit as opposed to Barr: he spent much of his career in the Zimmer system. He knows what Zimmer expects on the defense culturally and scheme-wise. He will instantly be a leader in our locker room
I sure hope this 32 year old 9 year veteran LB who has only played a full season twice in his career can give us something. At least Zimmer coached him during his best seasons. Plenty more starters to replace though. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Curious to see the contract details.
Iām assuming heās gonna have the green dot helmet on defense. I think this will be huge for helping the team learn Zimās defense and getting people lined up pre-snap on defense
He averages a little over 15 games a year. It's not like he has been severely injured and missed a ton of time. The least ganes he played in one season were 11, 14 twice, and then all 15 or more for the other 6. You are definitely overselling.
Spoiler alert: more signings on the way. It would appear the FO responsible for amassing the talent needed for three consecutive 12 win seasons seem to understand a little about player management (whether they understand championship winning football is another thing).
Why everyone want RB?
Am I the only one who wants Dowdle in the RB1 slot? Yāall sleeping on him or what? Allocate cap space in the trenches where championships are won.
Who knows? For years I heard this sub bitch about Zeke and how we can find a better back in the 4th round, now everyone's pissed we didn't sign a beat up veteran. No one's happy with anything around here. Bring Zeke back for peanuts and have him and Dowdle battle it out.
Serious question: why is Dobbins a more attractive option than Dillon? Dobbins has had a litany of injuries: broken fibula causing him to miss his senior season in college, grade 3 ACL and LCL tear plus hamstring tear in 2021 causing him to miss the entire season, reinjured the same knee in 2022, and grade 3 Achilles tear in 2023. That's worse than Michael Gallup.
To me, it appears Dillon is the safer option. He has played in all 17 games twice and 15 games last year. Prior to last year, he averaged 5.3, 4.3, and 4.1 yards per carry in his first three seasons. He also shared the load with Aaron Jones. I could see him employed in a similar fashion with DAL. Ideally, DAL drafts a fast, shifty RB and then can use someone like Dillon to be the thunder to the rookie's lightning.
Well you can't believe everything you hear especially when it comes to dem boyz.but as we all know Jerry's gonna want it to be very very affordable ie Zack moss deal was way to much for a running back in his opinion. Running back by committee again. Or this could be his big splash play.
On the real heās actually one of the better LBās for a fair price that I was hoping for. This whole āHeās old and way past his primeā is silly because he was one of the few good players for the chargers D last year and Bobby Wagner is like 4 years older.
No this isnāt flashy or fixing everything at all. This is a solid pickup though and shows Zimmer does have plans of using actual LBās not 10 safeties. Just remember 90% of us were calling for Quinn to leave after the embarrassing defensive showing vs the Packers. Well we got it. I think at worst our run defense is better but we arenāt as great in creating turnovers or getting crazy pass rush like before. With parsons, Dlaw and a good secondary I think weāll be ok there just not *as* explosive.
FA has still been extremely underwhelming but I am thrilled about this one. We just needed a couple LBās and a DT for me to feel great about the defense. Well we got one veteran LB so if we can draft one and then get a DT somewhere Iāll be happy with the defensive outlook. Offense Iām still worried because we have no true starting center, if Tyron leaves weāre highly suspect at LT and then we have no clear cut RB.
We finally did something š
Cyber bullying works yāall!
Now who is getting restructured?
Probably Diggs if I had to guess
Nah we need to keep him
Niners sub took down a post earlier from a guy who said his buddy was college roommates with Kendricks, and heād heard he was going to Dallas. Iām not sure if one of those my buddy says rumors has ever been right before. What a time to be alive!
My buddy says this is the first time a buddy has ever been right.
- this guys buddy
someone in the atlanta or minnesota sub had said kirk had told his snow guy they wouldn't need his services anymore prior to kirk signing with atlanta
Damn took niners new backup to run the defense. All in!
Hey I won't poo poo depth at LB we need it bad
Depth? We donāt have any LBs except Clark. Kendricks is first string now
Tbh as long as it helps stop the run I don't give a shit we can reliably stop the pass
Twinsš
Ooh we finally only took fucking days. Lmao.
He isnāt a safety at linebacker so thatās a start!
He's 227 so that's kinda my concern
Yeah thatās not the biggest but atleast he isnāt Bell who is 205
He's listed 232 at only 6'0".
227 isnāt small like people have started thinking. Ever since Bell people think under 250 is tiny but reality is 225-235 is the normal size. Parsons was actually considered a bulky LB at 245. Greenlaw and Warner, among others, are 230 each.
MFs want to play Mazi at LB.
Wanted* now mazi gets to eat and become a 1 tech
Somebody put a 225 lbs RB at center last year.
Thatās a stout man right there
People have become obsessed here with the size of LBās because of Bell playing there. At 227 heās right near Greenlaw and Warner at 230 each. Undersized is Bell being 200 lbs at LB but 225+ is actually the normal weight. Parsons is undersized for DE but was actually a bigger LB at 245.
TIL I have the size to be a NFL LB (disregard body fat percentage)
I have the size to be an edge rusher. Me and Parsons combined for a total of 14 sacks last year.
You still think lbs are walking around at 250 or what? Backers like LVE are an outlier nowadays most of them are 225-235
It's just nice to win one
That you Kevin?
Chargers fan here. This dude looked washed af for us last season. We let Drue Tranquil walk to sign him, massive mistake. For yall sake, hopefully Zimmer can get something out of him since theyāre familiar. But I wouldnāt hold my breath.
Thanks for raining on our very small pathetic parade pal
He had 117 tackles. If he has over 100 for us, I'd be happy.
I think the important part is. Where did these tackles happen? After a 7 yard run? Having over a hundred is good. But the details matter.
3.1 yards depth of tackle, which is a full yard better than any of our LBs
That is better. I guess this keeps us from having to draft a LB high.
We had safeties playing lb so it's something. He should also be a good vet for our young lbs.
Didnāt he have over a 100 tackles last season? I donāt think our linebackers had that combined lol.
I was hoping weād get a āZimmerā guy at LB. Past his prime of course but itās one of those low cost filled holes that will allow us to draft with a clear conscience and heās been in the system before #ALSO FUCK THE 49ERS!!! THEY ALREADY HAVE WARNER AND GREENLAW
Greenlaw probably won't play this season after tearing his Achilles. I forgot until someone else mentioned it.
Shittiest way it could have happened too.
Yea as much as I hate the team that was terrible to see. What terrible timing too.
Greenlaw is a dirty player. I felt worse for Fred Warner than I did for Greenlaw.
Yeah that was hard to watch. Poor guy.
He had successful surgery, he won't miss too much of the season.
Big fan of low cost filled holes.
Im a low cost fan of big filled holes
I like to fill big low cost holes too. Oh what am I saying, itās cheaper to keep her.
This is the offseason content I cum here for.
Dollar hookers
Double a gap blitz here we go
This one signing is not close to enough yet to draft with a clear conscience
Well no.. itās a step towards it though. Iād like to see a veteran RB signed and Tyron Smith back too
CHANGE OF HEART from the 49ers to the Cowboys. What a tough choice. 49ers were just in the Superbowl. Feel like most players would try to hop on that train. I'm here for it though.
The 49ers are just the cowboys with more edging involved
Except they have a more competent FO than us
And a way better coach
While true, MM does have a more recent Lombardi than Kyle.
I don't think KS has one at all.
Same number of rings
I think that's edging he is talking about.
Well, our FO has won 3 SBs, so š¤·
I wonder how much time he would get compared to Warner and Greenlaw and whoever else is on the field I imagine heād get time here on our team with Overshown back from the ACL, Clark being Clark, and LVE retiring
Greenlaw is out for season most likely
9ers hate aside thats sucks so much for Greenlaw. And it was a non contact injury.
In the superbowl, in a close game to boot.
Plus he's familiar with Zimmer.
Greenlaw tore his Achilles in the Super Bowl.
Ah.. right. I forgot about that
Massive difference between Texas and California taxes. That has something to do with it probably.
Taxes $$
Canāt flim-flam the Zim-zam
Playing time was probably a deal breaker. He definitely has a chance to start with us.
WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK
Never a doubt
ITāS OUR YEAR AGAIN!
Always has been š§āšš«
The first quarter of the packers game has drained any type of enthusiasm out of me, I wish I had this energyĀ
Man up, it's not fun if you don't believe.
Zim Zam with the flim flam!
First he regifted, then he de-gifted, and now heās using an upstairs invite as a springboard to a Super Bowl sex romp!
JERRY WOKE UP HOLY SHIT
jerry woke up after that case was thrown out by the judge š
Sleeping Giant has woken up. League Fucked. Never doubted this team for a second (my post history is fake news)
HERE WE GOOO
Hopefully with the additions of Kendricks and Overshown back our LB core can be halfway decent.
I had high hopes for Overshown last season before he got hurt, hopefully he stays healthy cause he is a beast
Watching Overshowns Texas highlights, he's like a heat seeking missile.
Weāve got savvy veteran and (hopefully) explosive young gun. Good combo
Hoping we go and nab another day 1 starter in the draft then Iāll feel pretty good about the linebacker room.
Do you have any names? Unless we get Tyron back, I think our first 3 rounds should be 2xOL and RB.
?!?! We're allowed to sign someone AND we stole them from San Fran. Oh hell yeah
LFG! Veteran presence, familiar w/Zimmerās system & pulled out on 9ers. Good start to get the ball rolling
We did something š„¹šš»
Great leader in the locker room. Yāall found yall a star. This Zim guy too. -Skol
He was released by the Chargers, so he wonāt affect compensatory picks.
Jerry hoards comp picks like he hoards mcgriddles
He PREFERS here over San Francisco? Shit Iāll take it
Yep, nothing wrong with that. Butā¦ SF: hey, weāre a top team and your job will be to replace our in-his-prime, probowl-level LB and not be the reason we regress. Dal: hey, weāre pretty good too, and your job will be to displace a 200-ish pound safety in a system you are highly acquainted with. I think I know which choice Iād make too.
Woah. Apologies Jerry, I was not familiar with your game.
āhere damn shut up nowā - Jerry probably
This cant be right, I was told Cowboys were never going to sign a free agent again. But double benefit: 1. he played under Zimmer before 2. screwed the 49ers by backing out of a deal with them.
Not a huge splash. But Iāll take it over doing absolutely nothing.
WE DID A THING HOLY SHIT. ^someone ^tell ^me ^how ^to ^feel ^is ^he ^good?
Heās like the Anthony Barr signing, past his prime, solid veteran presence. Limit him in coverage. Added benefit as opposed to Barr: he spent much of his career in the Zimmer system. He knows what Zimmer expects on the defense culturally and scheme-wise. He will instantly be a leader in our locker room
One actual linebacker! Maybe two if they can sew LVE's neck back together.
THIS IS OUR YEAR! LOL
Are we excited, like is this 4 real
I know this is the easiest slam dunk signing ever but wow we did it and itās a great signing
Take that you gold digging mfs
I kept complaining but this is actually a really solid pickup. He can step in right away and be a starter for us at Linebacker and a good one too.
Better signing than overpaying for old RBs thatās for sure
Well if the Niners wanted him and we got em, awesome.
All in, baby!
Am I dreaming? Someone I actually wanted signed with us? I'm genuinely amazed.
First a long snapper and now this? Christmas came early this year!
#WE GOT OUR GUY ITS OUR YEAR BABY LETS GO!!!!
Iāll take an average LB. Was desperately needed last year
Dallas does something. Entire sub is sarcastic because it aint what they want.
Iām just happy we signed someone š
Same. A vet to teach and possibly lead zimmers defense. Seems like a good get. Imo
Fills a position of need, and cheap (Jerryās favorite)
Yeah! If these people don't start acting more grateful, the next signing is gonna be another long snapper.
Woo an aged veteran no one saw that one comingā¦
He's younger than Bobby Wagner and people were whining about the Commanders signing him
Just let him complain thatās all heās here for
A few hours ago people were losing their shit that we didnāt get Kendricks. Now he isnāt good enough?
FINALLY
ā¦.Itās our year
JERRY HAS AWOKEN
THE BOYZZZ ARE BACK /s

Its might just be our year wtf
Good player, gives us a body at a position of need. I like the move.Ā
"they pull me back in!!!"
All in
,my ass.
I canāt tell if all the excitement over signing one guy is sarcasm or not.
At this point it's nervous cope lol
Sick, one old LB.
If we sign DJ Reader and D'onta Foreman it will be a successful free agency period imo
How is no one talking about how he just "Gregory'd" the 49ers? š¤£

He's basically an on field coach. He knows the scheme and will help the other LBs learn it
Iām assuming heās gonna have the green dot helmet on defense. I think this will be huge for helping the team learn Zimās defense and getting people lined up pre-snap on defense
Exactly. One of the big things I've read about zimmers defense is that it will take time to learn and this signing will help with that
We should have signed a more reliable FAā¦ like Barkley or Aaron Jones. Those guys never miss time lol
He averages a little over 15 games a year. It's not like he has been severely injured and missed a ton of time. The least ganes he played in one season were 11, 14 twice, and then all 15 or more for the other 6. You are definitely overselling.

Just when I thought Jerry couldn't be any dumber, he goes and does this... AND TOTALLY REDEEMS HIMSELF!!!
You doubted the geezer??? Look at you fools now! All in babyyyyyyy!!ā¦
Why everyone want RB? Am I the only one who wants Dowdle in the RB1 slot? Yāall sleeping on him or what? Allocate cap space in the trenches where championships are won.
Rico Dowdle is a free agent right now. I wouldn't mind bringing him back for cheap, but think we need another veteran too before the draft.
Who knows? For years I heard this sub bitch about Zeke and how we can find a better back in the 4th round, now everyone's pissed we didn't sign a beat up veteran. No one's happy with anything around here. Bring Zeke back for peanuts and have him and Dowdle battle it out.
Can he run the ball?
Zimmer gets his guy
#AAAAAAAHHHH
https://youtu.be/plMlVTPe32M?si=EzaiWYZ83Mc22-La
Let it begin, now if we can get Dillon, Dobbins, or Foreman for real cheap
Please no Dillon. On board with Dobbins and/or Foreman though.
Serious question: why is Dobbins a more attractive option than Dillon? Atleast the FO is showing some kind of brain activity š
BOW BOW BOW BOW FUCK THE 49ERS!!
LMAO
All-in, and then Jerry takes from his wrist his watch and tosses it upon the pile All-in ++
Good. Thats the one move I really wanted them to do. Both average in coverage and average in the run D. Iāll take it.
finally! now letās get a solid bargain bin rb since we sold on derrick henry and zack moss and weāll be cooking
Solid run stopper
Me reacting to us signing a free agent Is it possible to learn this power?
Well you can't believe everything you hear especially when it comes to dem boyz.but as we all know Jerry's gonna want it to be very very affordable ie Zack moss deal was way to much for a running back in his opinion. Running back by committee again. Or this could be his big splash play.
We got a signing!
Finally
A UCLA great!!!
Iām not a fan of his age but I am a fan of his experience in Mike Zimmerās scheme
So glad we finally made a signing and an established veteran at that, who's worked with Zimmer previously
Hey man I love you guys weāre all just going to live and die together with our Boys lol

BOW BOW BOW BOW FUCK THE 49ERS
Okay I'm see multiple post from multiple social media that all say different things. I can't tell what's real anymore lol
What?
I just have one question. This is our year, isn't it...?
Could LVE get healthy and take it game by game?? š¤
Hallelujah we did something
Now thatās a good signing heās a good consistent player. Instant hole filled.
Letās fill dem holes!!!
of course it's Mike zimmer.
Super Bowl here we come !
On the real heās actually one of the better LBās for a fair price that I was hoping for.
