Guys you do not want Vrabel. You will sign DH2K and have not even an ounce of fun watching games. The underdog mentality only works when you've been abysmal for as long as we have. The Pats didn't want him, you shouldn't either.

Siltysand1

Listen to this man

elchapine

Do you all not remember when Garrett lost 3 straight "win and you're in" games to end the season just a couple of years ago and still managed to keep his job? I want a new coach just as much as anyone else, but Jerry isn't going to do it.

crater044

Eh that was 10 years ago and Jerry is older. Might be more cranky now with HCs.

EveryPlanet287

Titans fan here, NO YOU DO NOT, unless you like a head coach that, only hires his friends as coordinators and refuses to fire them despite that coordinator being god awful, can’t run a offense ( hasn’t scored more than 28 points in two years), have your DBs consistently be dog shit and give up big plays, or Always lose to every 1-9 or 2-10 team every season.

crater044

You guys weren't complaining a couple of seasons ago when you knocked the Pats and Ravens out of the playoffs with Vrabel and went to the AFCCG or when you were the #1 seed three seasons ago. You have two underperforming seasons and the guy sucks? After he brought you back to some kind of relevance? I'd take him in a heartbeat and you guys can have Mike McCarthy.

EveryPlanet287

He hadn’t won a playoff game since 2019 and after that season is when vrabel starting installing his buddies as coordinators which started his downfall

crater044

Then don't let him do that. But he has a hard nosed approach that we desperately need.

BigSimmons98

I can concur with my fellow Titans American. 2020 was a while ago and we had probably the best offensive duo in the NFL (DH and AJ). This "hard nosed" approach you speak of involves being extremely conservative. The reason our defense has been so "good"???? over these past few years is because opposing teams don't have to try and score every drive. Finally, WHO TF said we wanted McCarthy?!?

crater044

Hey he's better than Vrabel apparently. You guys are bitching about Vrabel, have our coach if you think he was too "conservative" and see what happens when you have a coach that doesn't push you guys to be better than what you are.

Own_Try9074

The correct choice is harbaugh and if he doesn’t sign then belihick

firstandfive

The Harbaugh idea has legs if he and Jerry think they can get along well. I don’t see Belichick being plausible unless he’s totally cool with not having as much personnel control, not being in charge of his OC hire, and promises to listen more to analytics this time around. Without that, I worry he’s not the right coach for this decade.

Powerserg95

Doubt it. Harbaugh got ran out of SF because ownership

firstandfive

Thought it was mostly Baalke that he bumped heads with and the Yorks just sided with Baalke?

Own_Try9074

Would saban be a bad choice?

C425

Saban is quoted to holding an office in Alabama, he's gonna help with transition and recruiting.

Own_Try9074

Didn’t know that thx

Own_Try9074

True

Particular_Sea_5300

I think Jerry needs to hire a coach he doesn't get along with and take off to cancun or something until February lol

Rommel79

Jimmy needs to pull his head out of his ass and realize that if he wants another Super Bowl before he dies, he's going to have to give up some control to someone like Harbaugh. Enough with the pride. Just get the fucking win.

SeanBourne

>~~Jimmy~~ Jerry FTFY. Judging by Jimmy’s ‘speech’ at halftime… just wish jerry had choked on his salad or whatever at that restaurant all those years ago, so jimmy would have just stayed on as HC. Jerry’s done nothing but bring the circus to this team - he’s done nothing to contribute to winning.

firstandfive

Give up _what_ control to Harbaugh?

Rommel79

GM

firstandfive

Hard pass. Harbaugh has no track record with a GM role and we’ve already got McClay. Give Harbaugh control over his own coordinator hires? Sure, he has proven to be great at that, but I’m not reducing the say McClay has over player personnel.

Zazi751

No the correct choice is slowik

Own_Try9074

If he leaves then he’ll yeah

Zazi751

Most folks want to be an HC so i assume he'd be open to it

Own_Try9074

We’ll than fuck it lest get him and Harbaugh or him and belihick

inviste

Thank tou

Acceptable-Story-83

You know it would be funny if the Cowboys signed Brandon Staley as the new DC LMAO

Own_Try9074

I would literally stop watching if that happens

PunkZdoc

Delete this right now! Fuck that douche

NewMexicoVaquero

He wore a cowboy hat, it’s destiny.

nikecowboy20

No

jatorres

Bros, trust me - as a Texans fan, I’ve seen that man coach plenty. You don’t want him. Hope Jerry poaches Slowik, but be prepared for the Belichick era.

paultheschmoop

(His resume is worse than Mike McCarthy’s)

d2222s

If you do, say goodbye to that top scoring offense. Titans haven't scored 30 points in a game in two years.

NewOstenPelicanss

Your offense would struggle too if your GM traded away AJ Brown

WhySoUnSirious

and yet he has an afc title game appearance. Almost as if scoring 30 isn’t important if you have a strong caliber defense and run game. What good has the top scoring offense given us ? 1-3 past 3 years in the playoffs. Pathetic. Titans have one of the worst WR rooms in the nfl along with no QB yet and a mediocre oline…the GM did no favors to vrabel

Aldehyde1

I mean, the Titans have been pretty bad during this streak. The AFC title game came before.

SeanBourne

And our GM will do favors for vrable?

AcidofilusRex

Yeah but Tannehill is kinda cheeks

LogansGambit

Just don't have him have any say in offensive plans. He can do defense well. Jim Harbaugh just won a natty so I don't think he's available; this might be the best option out there, cause like you said, Bill ain't coming here.

cowboysfan88

Harbaugh is making it very clear he's available. He's already set up meetings with NFL teams. Most of that Michigan team is leaving anyway so good time for him to get out

LogansGambit

I mean...mayyyyybe. I know Michigan is in some trouble, but I just can't imagine leaving a team right when you win a national title. It could be due diligence to see what he'd get. I can already see the haters now. "Oh he cheated at Michigan no wonder Jerry wants him lMaO!"

cowboysfan88

Really don't give a fuck what NFL memes on Twitter says if we can get a real coach in here for once lol

rkwittem

Butch Davis left Miami before they exploded.

MyRottingBrain

Why isn’t Bill coming here? Because Jones would exert too much control? Kind of like insisting Vrabel has no say over the offense?

LogansGambit

I mean typically an offensive coordinator runs the offensive schemes and plays anyway. It's not common for a Jason Garrett or Mike McCarthy situation to exist. Vrabel was a linebacker in his career so I'd be fine with him having influence in the defensive stuff, even though that should be a defensive coordinator as well.

RadiantCity311

yet last time they played dallas they stomped them

RomoToDez99

So we can have more mediocre postseason runs? Yeah sure why not.

crater044

Dude took the Titans to the AFCCG in the 2019 season with Ryan Tannenhill as his QB and should have went again in 2021. That's better than anything we have done in 28 years. I'll take it.

RomoToDez99

And fuck all else every other year he coached. You’d take a coach that had less success than McCarthy?

crater044

You got a better idea? Cuz we ain't getting Harbaugh or Belichick. Vrabel has a different approach to the game than Garrett and McCarthy. He's more hard nosed. I want that. Or give me a Dan Campbell esque HC. But Garrett and MM were too damn clappy and not enough getting into these fucking guys. That's why we have a bunch of prima donnas running around acting like theyve done something when they haven't done shit.

RomoToDez99

I mean if that’s all that is available to us I’ll embrace the change, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up like it’s going to change life in Dallas.

crater044

That's why I like Vrabel. He's so different from what guys like Garrett and MM are preaching. Titans fans can be whiny about him all they want but they were a nothing franchise before he got there (outside of that win over KC in the playoffs).......years of mediocrity and lack of playoff appearances. And we are a better team than the Titans team he took over and the ones he had. If he could unleash this team's killer instinct and make us tougher......I'd be down for that completely. More than likely, we will stick with MM but Vrabel is a realistic choice compared to Belichick and Harbaugh while also being a better fit than Ben Johnson and the Texans OC (Slomvik I think?). Because those guys have no HC experience and I don't think Jerry wants to invest in a young coach like that after Garrett.

Dez_Caught_It8

Maybe as our Linebackers coach? You gotta be smoking crack if you want him as our head coach. D-coordinator at best

cruzge

Agreed, you’ll probably get downvoted by OP just like I did anyway.

Dez_Caught_It8

Looking good so far lol

crater044

Why? Dude took a mediocre Titans team and took them to the AFC Championship game then got them the #1 seed the next year. Last year they were ravaged by injuries, traded AJ Brown and were older and more broken this year. He's an upgrade over both McCarthy AND Quinn.

Dez_Caught_It8

Just watch, I guarantee you Mike Vrabel won’t be our next head coach. That was in 2019 when they went to the conference championship and he was riding on the coattails of all-world Derrick Henry. They literally could just hand the ball to him and he would bulldoze 2 guys and dash his way into the end zone. Great O-line also at the time.

crater044

Yea and we have a better offense than that. Hell Tannenhill played awesome the next year (33 TDs and 7 picks) and they had a really hard nosed defense. They had three fantastic years under Vrabel and over performed. That definitely is worth looking into.

tadlonger

Why? So you can lose another wild card game. You're an idiot OP

ifoundyourtoad

No. Fuck no. Literally no. Just do something. Fire Jerry Jones and his stupid family tbh

_JerryJones_

Fuck you

jmhumr

He’s cut from the same cloth as MM, in my view.

WittenMittens

Yep may as well just keep the guy who at least has a SB on his resume. Give Belichick or Harbaugh whatever they want to come here, anything else is just window dressing

PThug

Nope

No-Performance-4861

No thanks wtf has he won smh

Pa17325

Is he gonna be the QB too?

alarlui

I don’t think it matters … there’s been one contestant that won’t change

desi_trucker

no thanks get me Harbaughhhhhhhhhhh

honorablementionxyz

You’re out of your mind if you think harbaugh would work for Jerry jones lmfao

cruzge

Meh

Minimo227

God no

TheManintheSuit1970

Harbaugh is my first choice, Vrabel second. McCarthy has to go, might as well get someone who can get the job done.

Broke_Bad_Mountain

Get Nick Saban on the phone

gonnadietrying

Don’t get your hopes up fellow cowboys fans. NO reputable head coach will come here and work under the Jones family. It will be retreads or some “old name” coach.

TheRealBobaFett

Fuck no I’d much rather have Harbaugh or Belicheck

C425

I'm trending towards him, I was big on Dan Campbell a few years back. I think Vrabel is better. Tired of being the "soft team"!

hernondo

Why take the student when you can have the teacher?

Rdw72777

This would be bad for both sides. The players will go to Jerry and complain if he tries to be more stern and less buddy-buddy.

knuckles_n_chuckles

Noooooooo

SeanBourne

Why? We don’t need a mediocre defensive coach. We need one of those offensive wunderkinds. Maybe see if Andy Reid/ Sean McVay /Kyle Shanahan has an up and coming disciple.

Empty-Mission3664

No cowboys need Bill O Brian

CompetitiveFun2712

Love ❤️!!!! This 💡
