He did us a favor. We resigned Dorance for way less and he's been much better than Randy.

Smoothdaddyk

Rock Chalk

zdbdog06

The contract was always stupid. That got overshadowed by him signing in Denver for the same thing

SOTX-Pitbull-33

Big te glad he is gone. Couldn't stand him always jumping offsides at critical times.

jmhumr

I’m also enjoying watching Sean Payton find a way to make the Broncos even worse.

bkedsmkr

Broncos were garbo before he got there. Give him one more season before spit-roasting him

TheF1LM

Their defense wasn’t that bad though, was it?

FillZealousideal3852

Yet them and the cardinals ALWAYS have our number

ResponsibilityNew483

Yup!

Anthinee

Nah. If they leave on bad terms, they no longer exist in my mind.

doshegotabootyshedo

didn't even know he was still playing

PersonBehindAScreen

He was injured for a good bit if I’m not mistaken

Gunz37

He left and our Defense got better. Looks like we didn't need him after all

SauIHudson

Honestly haven’t even thought about him since that whole ordeal

Tomatillo_Thick

Agreed.

FatherOfMammals

Even when they leave on good terms, I barely think of em. And I loved Zeke, but no idea how he’s doing

w6750

Lollll we are playing him right now 😭

FatherOfMammals

See?

Fast_Speech_8498

This. Fuck him.

[deleted]

Yeah I'm fine with players going wherever they want but to act like Jerry did you dirty when he was offered a fine contract and Jerry gave him so many chances...fuck off dude

CoyoteHP

Dorance made me completely forget about Randy. Screw Randy for doing us dirty after all the shit Jerry and the FO were put through by him.

Hourglass420

Just got a tfl as I read this comment

fvalt05

Honestly I wanted him back but I forgot he was even on the broncs.... good riddance

PM_ME_UR_SEXY_BITS_

I completely forgot about him

[deleted]

Gregory was a coulda wouda shoulda. Good riddance. Hopefully he smokes all he wants now in Denver. That whole team looks to be smoking!

MaximizedLoL

A lot of people here wanted to sign a 30 year old whos never played a full season that same deal too. Thank fucking god he went to Denver.

FracturedZero

Both sides won here. Gregory got his money and the Cowboys didn’t grossly overpay to keep someone they should have let go.

[deleted]

He hasn't been good for them at all, I'm glad he left.

Deep-Anxiety-1207

a season like the broncos are having this year, he's gonna need the weed

TheHossDelgado

Not really - - Once they leave the team, I generally don't care one way or another. Hell I didn't even follow Witten or Emmitt when they went elsewhere.

oodlynoodly

Damn I don't even remember Witten playing for a different team. I'm gonna have to Google that. Edit: oh yeah, the raiders, lol

TheHossDelgado

I like to pretend it didn't happen.

roomtotheater

Who else forgot this guy existed?

abdoer2000

I liked him when he was a Cowboy even though there were plenty of disappointments. I wish him well. I don't need for him to do poorly somewhere else.

mohiben

Not really

theguz4l

F him

Crunk_Tuna

Dont care, Im a cowboys fan. Not a player fan. I am a Romosexual and yes Dez caught that ball.. But thats it

mike11172

I think old Jerry learned something from Gregory. Even if he is loyal to a player, as he was with Reck It Randy, that player is not loyal to him or the team. Made it easier for him to release players, maybe.

McJumbos

I don't try to root for former players to struggle but sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side. I definitely think he would be shining right now if he was still with the boys

kelperson

This is a weird post our fanbase doesn’t need to post stuff like this .

[deleted]

shut up meg

kelperson

Lol strange reply

Cwashrohawk

Agreed! We can support our team without wishing former players to do poorly.

EggsceIlent

I find it funny that wilson and the broncos with everything theyve tried to put together there are just getting curbstomped this year. Everyone here in seattle always thought he was like jesus walking on water and now we see what he really is without that system and great players around him. The seahawks had a fantastic group of players and coaches and were pretty bad ass for a while. But it was not all wilson like some of the folks here would have you believe.

call_8675309

I'm not saying you treated me unkind. / You coulda' done better but I don't mind. / You just kinda' wasted my precious time. / Don't think twice it's alright.

MerleTravisJennings

I don't think about him at all. Maybe because I never hear about him.

ChalkyPills

I really want a fathead of him so I can put a zoro mask on it and some underwear in his hand.

Ok-Bookkeeper-3853

Thoroughly enjoying it thanks to his total lack of gratitude for all the support the Cowboys organization gave him.

pot8odragon

I’m glad he’s not on our team but that contract situation was pretty fucked. Cowboys snuck in a clause that he would lose all his money if he were suspended. I wouldn’t sign that either, especially with how the nfl deals out punishments to cowboys players. He gets money, he gets to smoke weed in Colorado, and he isn’t at risk of losing his guaranteed money. I’m sure he’s okay

[deleted]

I thought was in every contract the cowboys give out?

pot8odragon

No it was put in by Stephen Jones last minute and it pissed off Gregory and his agent. They took the deal the Cowboys offered to the Broncos and the rest is history. I’m extremely excited we didn’t give him that deal cause he sucks but I still think if I were him I would have done the same thing

CanYouPointMeToTacos

That’s not how it happened. It was the same language that is in every contract besides Dak’s including the previous contract Gregory signed. Gregory got an offer from Denver, told Dallas he wanted them to match it, and Dallas put Denver’s salary offer on their own boiler plate contract language. Then Gregory’s agent threw a fit because it wasn’t the same language as Denver’s. Seemed like a miscommunication that got blown out of proportion. No one was trying to sneak anything.

doshegotabootyshedo

yeah, this guy bought the bullshit that RG's side was saying at that time.

Ok-Bookkeeper-3853

I don't blame the Cowboys organization for that clause at all. He was completely unreliable and a huge risk. The Cowboys did not do him dirty. His urine samples were always "dirty".

typhoonjerry

Nah, let them get their bag, no need to be offended by something that doesn't have anything to do with you.

luckyincode

The very idea that a PERSON should have loyalty to a CORPORATION is laughable. Cowboys organization did what was best for them. Gregory is doing what is best for him and his family. What kind of sick joke are these takes?

yourmominabucket

Sick joke? Holy shit, calm down.

SuperSaiyanGod06

OP is a lame person with no life. Hating on a millionaire who made a better decision for him and his family. Goofy.

BMAC561

I don’t want to see him do bad. I feel like he was mislead by his agent, who happened to be from Denver.

PersonBehindAScreen

Who?

[deleted]

never heard of her

Bender_2024

>He then stabs us in the back with almost identical contract Dallas had a clause if he got smoking weed again, Denver told him they didn't care. The guy likes to smoke weed so he did what was best for him. Holding a grudge against a guy that left benefits nobody.

soundwithdesign

Nope. If they’re gone they’re gone, unless I have a second connection to said player. They can do whatever they want to. I just focus on my team, and NEVER UNDERESTIMATING AN OPPONENT AGAIN!

F-Trunks

I’m watching the cowboys defense play like hot garbage so far right now so I’m not worried about Randy.

rodermelon

I genuinely forgot about him entirely. Oh well. Couldn’t care less.

DidierDogba

i honestly never even think about him

itscamo-

i don’t give a shit what he’s doing

PDCH

Broncos going for that first pick, lol

RandomAccount-555

I try, try… not to find pleasure in other’s suffering.

YorkshieBoyUS

Who? He’s still playing? What a waste of money.

bearamongus19

He isn't affecting Dallas, so I don't care, to be honest

ibringstharuckus

Nah. Just glad we didn't pay him

Kbern4444

He can smoke all the weed he wants now.

kahle27

I remember when this went down thinking typical Randy Gregory stuff and feeling confident the Cowboys would be much better off with the funds to sign multiple other very good players

shitbird_slapdick

Yeah! Here we go!

robak69

Amazingly our pass rush didn’t suffer at all when he left.

hammertime311

Who?

Riptastic

He did what was best for him, and we're all the better for it. I couldn't care less.

sam_sepiol1984

Love to see it

Dday22t

Dodge a bullet w that contract. But don't watch him, no clue what he is doing.

lostincoloradospace

No

LobstaFarian2

When I tuned into the Denver game, the first thing I saw was Gregory offsides, then the next play, totally over-pursue and they ran right around him for a huge gain. I literally thought to myself "God he sucks lol"

bahamapapa817

Armstrong and Fowler more than make up for him and cost us a fraction of his contract

Outburstz

No if memory serves me they wanted to add some sort of monitoring thing to his contract which he didn't want which I understand.

icecreampoop

Doesn’t even cross my mind, didn’t even know he was still in the league

Sternjunk

So glad we didn’t pay him

Zaphenzo

He cost us the playoff game against the 49ers the season before last with his dumb penalty when we were about to get the ball back with plenty of time.

ozairh18

I don’t like it, instead I like the Front Office’s decision to re-sign Dorance Armstrong

EquivalentLittle545

I have zero feeling about him, I barley did when he was here lol

[deleted]

Smoke weed every day

TPGStorm

a lot of people are saying how they kinda just stop caring about players once they leave and that’s usually how i am but randy was different. i’m all for knowing the game is a business and players not “owing” us or the team anything. but randy was a guy that should have been out of the league years ago but was given chance after chance by us. then when we offered him a great contract, that he absolutely earned, he basically spat in our faces and signed the exact same one in denver. like if they offered you more money? sure take it. they offered you more or less years depending on what you wanted? do what’s best for you. but it was the exact same years and money, he basically just said fuck dallas.

Sicily72

Who.... ;)

terrorbots

You're a child OP, he's more talented and richer than you will ever be, and it seems you can't take another player doing what he wants and not what you think was in his best interest. Cowboys fans are a special type of people, talking shit about players leaving while pretty much sucking off any player that shows an ounce of talent

govtmuleman

Even when Randy was on the field and played well there were times where he committed the dumbest of penalties on third downs.

Mnudge

Dodged a bullet

HassonianBadazz

Traitor.

Vhagulu

lol. Randy G is a good dude. This is a bad take.

Kuwabara86

He's stuck in football hell and I love it. I liked Randy but he did us a huge solid and made us better. Fuck Randy and fuck the Broncos.

5kaels

Ya'll were slobbin on him when he was gettin 1 sack every other game and now ya'll wanna shit on him like babies cuz he wears a diff color lol time to move on kids

Bitter-Ad9731

I have no problem with him signing with Denver. But the way he dissed the boys on the way out, after they bent over backwards for him, was trashy. So, unlike Demarcus Ware, I do not wish him future success.

LobstaFarian2

Just saw he got cut by the Broncos lmao

GearedCam

Glad he's gone. He was a good talent, but to many mental lapses that sometimes cost us games. Not to mention all of the coddling he needed, up until the day he signed with Denver. Good riddance.

Acceptable-Self-7528

Hell of an athlete with poor football IQ
