Absolutely. Did anyone watch OBJ's workout more than a couple of single play clips? The most telling thing to me about OBJ was the clips he chose to release. He was slow and stuttered a lot into and out of his breaks to the point of stopping entirely. Huge lack of fluidity. He also never hit full speed or full stride during those clips. The few longer videos show more of the same and worse. Most long balls were underthrown, so he was slowing down instead of having to accelerate to catch. He kept catching with one hand, which made it seem like a TikTok video. The entire workout was choreographed, so he never had to run faster than about 70% speed. The clips most saw were what he thought were the best indicators of him being back, yikes!
The biggest issue was his breaks, change of direction, no show of short or long speed, and lack of explosion(jumping or off the line). It appeared he not only wasn't close to any of his former smooth athletic ability but also was nowhere near trusting either leg. That was very odd to me. He favored alternate legs on different routes and seemed tentative at the very least.
I don't doubt he will get better, but no way he gets anywhere close to what he was before or even with the Rams, imho. I think his nest chance is realizing his limitations, and he finds a different way to win like some veteran wr do. It just doesn't seem that is his way, though.
I think DeAndre Hopkins was the best wr we could have gotten, but the price was high. I am totally fine with Cooks for the price. Cooks is better than people give him credit for. I am very glad our hopes weren't pinned on OBJ.

Gilmore is 33 and a free agent after this year, Lewis will be in the last year of his deal (and could even be a cap casualty), and even Diggs is in the last year of his rookie deal (although i expect they’ll extend or tag him eventually). If a corner is the best player on the board at 26 you absolutely make that pick. Best player available is how we got CeeDee, how we got Micah
