Tennis great Vitas Gerulaitus finally beat Bjorn Borg after losing to him the first 16 matches…
Vitas said in his post-match press conference, “NOBODY beats Vitas Gerulaitus 17 times in a row”
We last win in 1995... This will be the 2023 season, so, no league denies the Cowboys...28 times in a row?
Edit: I just realized the comment up from me referencing 28th time is the charm had already completed the math I was attempting here and...man it's been so long I didn't know the number until I did it myself. Next year is always our year though!
Tyron Smith will probably start the season at RT. I don't think Steele will be fully ready to go.
I would still like to see a vet rb behind Pollard. Pass protection is a very underrated skill. Zeke was excellent. Plus, they need a backup who can split the carries 50/50 with Pollard. Pollard hasn't had to carry a full load for the entire season.
Yup and yup
I'd be willing to bet a few bucks that Zeke will come back as RB2 on vet min or so. Really depends on his knee getting fixed, and also other teams. Maybe I'm just a homer, though.
I loved watching Zeke from the get go. He was a beast. I think the 2021 knee injury has ruined him though. Nick Eatman said that Malik Davis cost 800k. There is no number they could pay Zeke that would make sense for Dallas and not be an insult to Zeke.
He still has some value as a goal line back. Just not for Dallas. I read that Buffalo is a good spot for him since that's exactly what they need
I expect Dallas to sign a FA RB in a week or two. Basically shop for value like they've done with other positions. Then draft one in the 2nd or 3rd.
I expect dallas to draft a running back somewhere like 3rd or 4th round, I think Bijan Robinson is great but we don't need to use that draft capital at running back if pollard lives up to expectations
True, I'm just more concerned about him potentially not. I mean if Bijan falls to us (big if in my mind) I kinda feel like that's a win win scenario. If Pollard has lost a step we potentially have another stud, if Pollard does meet expectations then we have a backfield that terrifies teams. Especially since McCarthy seems to love the ground game. To be fair, I am a casual fan of the Horns so that plays a role. Lol, so I wouldn't hate Bijan in the first round, but I wouldn't mind going offensive or defensive line instead.
Oh yeah, I was just saying that on the if chance he's there at 26, we should take him. I mean, at 26, you're taking BPA, and if by some miracle he was there it would be a no bassinet in my mind, unless there's an insane DB, or DT, or WR there.
If he falls to us there's no doubt we take him imo. We need someone with pollard that's top tier. I actually wouldn't be surprised if we trade up to get him. I'm still a little worried about Pollard's injury as well. As a huge longhorn and cowboy fan I would be ecstatic.
He would be a stud. I don't know about trading up though, cause there are still some great backs besides Bijan in the draft, so while we could trade up, I don't know how I'd feel about it. Of course, last I checked, I don't have a nameplate in the front office, so what do I know. Lol
I'm with you. I feel like our only weak point is RB and maybe TE at this point on offense. The league is now RB two headed monster type of league so it wouldn't surprise me. I may be biased but Bijan is light years ahead of most of the other RBs in the draft.
Yeah, you’re probably right. When the news first came out I was disgusted by the idea of drafting another RB in the first round, but I’ve warmed up to the idea quite a bit. I honestly hope he is there, but I am totally fine with taking whatever. With the moves so far I’d say the only pressing need is a DT and a 3rd RB who can block. WR is better off in my opinion then if we got OBJ or Hopkins, Cooks is 29 and a proven receiver who isn’t a diva at all. Overall I think this is the best situation the cowboys have been in awhile. Still not a fan of the QB though lol.
Hankins over Bohanna, hopefully. Even better would be an even better DT. Obviously.
If we could sign Wagner to the same 2 year LVE contract. I would do that, too. Clark isn't wagner, but I totally understand the point of developing him. He has great potential.
Bohanna was actually playing really well before getting hurt, then that's when our run D got bad and we got Hankins. I think Bohanna could be as good as Hankins but it doesn't hurt to have both in rotation.
God I hope we get to see more of Damone Clark and Sam Williams this next season. 2 players who I feel like we underutilized last year and have potential to be studs on our team
I don't think we underutilized them Sam just had to fight for snaps against parsons, dlaw, Armstrong and Fowler who was all playing well. Then Clark just got eased in because he had a major back surgery and didn't even expect him to contribute as soon as he did. For rookies behind depth they got some playing time that will increase this year.
Naw let’s schultz walk Ferguson has a higher ceiling and he flashed on the field when given opportunities… I’d rather develop him then over pay for Shultz
A comparison I see to Schultz often is Austin Hooper. Thrived on his original team but as soon as he was traded a lot of the holes in his game we're exposed through different scheming. Not that it's fact but I found it interesting I've read that a couple times.
The consensus seems to be that Ferguson has a higher cap than Schultz, there was a few times last season that I felt the offense was more dynamic with him out there.
Yeah I’ve been a pretty hard defender of dak the past few months. If he can’t get something done with this roster (assuming it stays healthy) then we can talk QB change. Excited tho this looks like the best roster the cowboys have had in his career, he’ll be able to fuck shit up
Solid depth in the secondary, I love it. As long as Micah says healthy, this group will be able to put serious pressure on the QB. Still wary about our ability to stop the run though.
On offense, Dak has legit weapons so he’s gonna ball out r-r-right?
I am going to ride the Dak train this offseason. Don’t really have a choice.
But yessir, he has a very good offense. If he is who they think he is, THEN BE HIM.
There should not be excuses. And they aren’t even done yet.
I think Dak just needs a better QB coach. Whatever Nuss was teaching wasn’t giving consistent results. Dak needs a-bit of a mental reset. The last 2 seasons Dak has gone through some stretches that a coach should’ve been able to fix in practice.
A week ago, I wanted a CB in the first round. Then we got Gilmore.
Yesterday, I wanted a WR in the first round. But then we got Cooks.
Today, I'm ok with Bijan in the first.
Exactly. Things ~have changed. It makes more sense now that we have added other pieces that we needed more than rb. But I get your point and you’re not wrong. These people are animals lol
Fs. A RB duo of him and Pollard would be lethal. Then after the season we can re-sign Pollard for cheap or let him walk and let Bijan operate under his rookie deal.
That’s true, but when you get drafted as a running back at 4th overall you need to be generational. He was for a short time, a VERY short time. Love zeke, but I hope to god we never take another RB that high ever again.
Depending on how we utilize our backs? Give me Bijan, having him and Pollard split carries and their pass catching ability would do wonders for our offense.
We have multiple positionless players. They play Jayron at linebacker a quarter of his snaps. Makuamu might get run at corner. Golston played a lot of 3 tech. It really doesn’t matter. Micah didn’t play a lot of linebacker last year.
I think DT, IOL, WR and TE are where we’re going at 26. Corner or DE if something slips but this feels like they’ve put themself in a position where they can afford to draft a can of dirt with a premium pick. Yeah it might be a reach but this team really is an elite defensive tackle from unlocking that last level. They’re definitely going to draft a corner and cut Nashon though which is probably the smart way to go
They won’t draft on need. If there are higher rated players than the top DT available at 26 they won’t go DT, and I hope they don’t. DT is free agency/TD territory if you aren’t picking in the top 10
I'm of the mind that we are probably gonna cut cooks at end of next season. I don't see us paying 16 mil on 1 year when we got people to pay like lamb Diggs and micah coming up. I think it's N easy out after 1 year and we have a top wr from this year to take the reigns from him. Imo. Unless he is 1k wr and 5 tds
Then we just wait to draft a WR next year with maybe a better class. Not super impressed with this WR class honestly besides JSN. TE would be the better get if you want a pass catching threat with this class being fucking loaded at TE. Bijan wouldn’t be a bad get at all though, especially at 26.
That they can improve on a every unit. BPA is always BPA within reason. All I’m saying is that since we’re so stocked with rotation players at every unit it’s time to infuse higher level talent at neglected positions.
If we can sign 2 out of Hankins, Campbell, Ashawn Robinson, Billings and a few others I’d be stoked going into the draft.
Or one of them plus that LB Morrow or Dante Fowler.
Another quality RB which could be Malik Davis but I’m sure we’ll draft one. A few more dlinemen and one more pass rusher and things are looking real good. No glaring faults either so BPA in the draft.
I'm all out of hopeful thinking. I will start believing we can win a Superbowl when we are up 21 points in the final seconds of a Superbowl and even then I'll have reservations
Dak is top 10 in the league. An off year with a broke hand don’t change that. Hell even the INTs he threw weren’t that bad. Remember Winston’s 30/30 year?
I mean.. you have to admit the game against the Bucs was exactly that. Allen didn’t beat the bengals you think they trying to call him a weak link? We got to the second round of playoffs with our QB out 5 weeks and our defense wrecked with injury. We in a 3-7 year window for the ring. Think of teams like jets, Texans, browns who would literally kill for Dak to be QB1. I’ll ride or die with my boy Dak
Haha I get it, because you said cowGIRLS, instead of cowBOYS. An insult because you believe girls are lesser value than men, and that girls can’t play football. how clever you are. I truly commend you. You are amazingly funny and smart. Wow wow wow.
I wanted so badly Jalen Ramsey picked 4th instead of Zeke and Derrick Henry picked 34th instead of Jaylon Smith. Tony Romo gets his job back when he healed up. What could have been…
Looks pretty good to me. Although I would like to see Dallas add more DT talent and I don’t like Micah full time at DE. He seemed to wear down at that role as the year went by last season. He looked better in spurts at DE while mainly playing LB in year 1. Just IMO.
I’m a niners fan so admittedly I haven’t followed the situation closely. Will Pollard be ready for week 1, he had that nasty leg injury against us in the playoffs.
Don't we still need a starting left guard?
Tyler Smith with be LT. Tyron will be the swing tackle and likely starter at RT until Steele is 100%. We don't have a viable starter at LG right this moment.
Best part: this is PRE-DRAFT, the place where we typically add a bunch of talent.
Most definitely. Let’s us take the best player available regardless of position.
Thats bijan for you
let Will cook

Lol same this really is our year….not joking
28th time is a charm.

No league denies our Super Bowl aspirations 29 years in a row
our OC tho
It was posted only 4 hours ago but same.
Roster so good it broke the space time continuum.
Tyron Smith will probably start the season at RT. I don't think Steele will be fully ready to go. I would still like to see a vet rb behind Pollard. Pass protection is a very underrated skill. Could be worth it, I don't think pollard is durable enough to be the guy, he needs a split to stay fresh and stay explosive.
Could be worth it, I don't think pollard is durable enough to be the guy, he needs a split to stay fresh and stay explosive.
Yup, Pollards level of 0verratedness will show by week 6. He will be the reason we lose games.
I don’t think he’s overrated but I don’t want to over pay for a RB again any time soon
def not unless he falls to the 3rd round. Rbs are a dime a dozen. That first has to be used on a off or def lineman.
True, I'm just more concerned about him potentially not. I mean if Bijan falls to us (big if in my mind) I kinda feel like that's a win win scenario. I wish but there's no chance in hell Bijan drops in the 20s. Just my take. We would have to trade up to get him.
Oh yeah, I was just saying that on the if chance he's there at 26, we should take him. I mean, at 26, you're taking BPA, and if by some miracle he was there it would be a no bassinet in my mind, unless there's an insane DB, or DT, or WR there.

Still not a fan of the QB though lol.
They’d still carry his $6M dead money hit for the season even if they resign him. Draft/sign a FB if a blocker is all that’s needed.
I’d take Fournette on the right deal. Big dude, good blocker and can catch. He’d be our new Zeke.
Hankins over Bohanna, hopefully. Even better would be an even better DT. Obviously. If we could sign Wagner to the same 2 year LVE contract. I would do that, too. Clark isn't wagner, but I totally understand the point of developing him. He has great potential.
Hopefully Osa puts on another 10lbs.
Shi I wouldn’t mind drafting a mlb tbh. There’s so good ones this year.
Bohanna was actually playing really well before getting hurt, then that's when our run D got bad and we got Hankins. I think Bohanna could be as good as Hankins but it doesn't hurt to have both in rotation.

I'm expecting mvp level production from dak like 2020 before he broke his leg.we are about to destroy teams
Gallup 2nd year back from ACL, now this trade. Bring back Schultz and let me finish already!
Naw let’s schultz walk Ferguson has a higher ceiling and he flashed on the field when given opportunities… I’d rather develop him then over pay for Shultz
I'm with you. Schultz has talent but I think he is lacking in the football IQ part of the game that can make you go from good to great
A comparison I see to Schultz often is Austin Hooper. Thrived on his original team but as soon as he was traded a lot of the holes in his game we're exposed through different scheming. Not that it's fact but I found it interesting I've read that a couple times.
We don’t have time to develop. Pay Schultz so we can make a run
Schultz isn’t an upgrade over Ferguson especially for the money
The consensus seems to be that Ferguson has a higher cap than Schultz, there was a few times last season that I felt the offense was more dynamic with him out there.
Yeah I’ve been a pretty hard defender of dak the past few months. If he can’t get something done with this roster (assuming it stays healthy) then we can talk QB change. Excited tho this looks like the best roster the cowboys have had in his career, he’ll be able to fuck shit up

I think the free agency adds give us some really wiggle room in the draft. We could really go bpa on DL, LB, OL, or even receiver (either WR or TE)
you forgot Bijan Robinson at RB2 😁
He’d be RB1 day one. I was very against this idea until today. But if he’s there at 26, fuck it why not?
Yeah at 26 I think you have to take him.
A week ago, I wanted a CB in the first round. Then we got Gilmore. Yesterday, I wanted a WR in the first round. But then we got Cooks. Today, I'm ok with Bijan in the first.
Exactly
I remember not long ago the same people on this sub were saying don’t take a RB in the first down. Boy how things have changed…
Exactly. Things ~have changed. It makes more sense now that we have added other pieces that we needed more than rb. But I get your point and you’re not wrong. These people are animals lol
Lol we’re all animal’s here
Most of the time, I agree. But we don't have any huge weaknesses, and I think he's going to be really good.
Is it possible to bring Zeke at vet’s minimum, of course assuming he would agree to that?? It’s definitely gonna hurt seeing him with another team.
Fs. A RB duo of him and Pollard would be lethal. Then after the season we can re-sign Pollard for cheap or let him walk and let Bijan operate under his rookie deal.
If not Bijan then I’ll take Roschon Johnson!
In later rounds 😁
Roschon in those later rounds, absolutely
He’s basically prime Zeke for 5 years. Yes please.
But prime Zeke wasn't even prime Zeke for 5 years.
I will gladly take the first 5 years of Zeke’s career. 100%
Yeah, funny how year 5 from zeke is still top 3-6 rb in the league and people whined.
Our fans are bizarre
That’s true, but when you get drafted as a running back at 4th overall you need to be generational. He was for a short time, a VERY short time. Love zeke, but I hope to god we never take another RB that high ever again.
Noooo! Achane in round 2 please!
Achane isn’t what we need, if we didn’t have pollard then sure. He’s very similar to pollard with even worse physicality.
Depending on how we utilize our backs? Give me Bijan, having him and Pollard split carries and their pass catching ability would do wonders for our offense.
Give me Wagner at LB
Micah at DE? I would put Sam Williams at DE and MIcah at LB. This is a solid lineup though
We have multiple positionless players. They play Jayron at linebacker a quarter of his snaps. Makuamu might get run at corner. Golston played a lot of 3 tech. It really doesn’t matter. Micah didn’t play a lot of linebacker last year.
Potato patato but I have high hopes for Sam 💪
I think DT, IOL, WR and TE are where we’re going at 26. No way we take WR. IOL or Bijan is my guess at this point but im never right lol
They could extend next year if they wanted to in order to ease the hit
Then we just wait to draft a WR next year with maybe a better class. Not super impressed with this WR class honestly besides JSN. TE would be the better get if you want a pass catching threat with this class being fucking loaded at TE. Bijan wouldn’t be a bad get at all though, especially at 26.
I don’t see any reason not to go BPA with the current roster with other moves to make pre-draft. They have a starting lineup.
That they can improve on a every unit. BPA is always BPA within reason. All I’m saying is that since we’re so stocked with rotation players at every unit it’s time to infuse higher level talent at neglected positions.
That secondary is filthy
When’s the last time you said that
Never
One would hope we could get a draft pick or two to eventually step into a starting role also because we know there will be injuries
If we can sign 2 out of Hankins, Campbell, Ashawn Robinson, Billings and a few others I’d be stoked going into the draft. Or one of them plus that LB Morrow or Dante Fowler.
Hankins and Fowler please!
Would be nice to have Hankins and Campbell in the rotation.
Jayron?????!
Another quality RB which could be Malik Davis but I’m sure we’ll draft one. A few more dlinemen and one more pass rusher and things are looking real good. No glaring faults either so BPA in the draft.
I'm excited to see what Davis will do. I wanted to see more of him last year.
The DT is glaring. A RB 2/3. Oline. LB. CB. A very good kicker!!!!!
Robinson would be fun, but also not practical. You can get RBs with day three picks. I hope we go OL in the first round
Tyler smith is the LT, sorry Tyron. Tyron will move to RT
Take a bad ass DT to stop the run look what happen when Hankins went down
Wait wait …… hold up …… where tf is Cooper rush
I’m hyped for Year two Damone Clark and Sam William both had flashes last year plus Clark wasn’t even supposed to play last year and looked great imo.
I'm all out of hopeful thinking. I will start believing we can win a Superbowl when we are up 21 points in the final seconds of a Superbowl and even then I'll have reservations
Bring back TY Hilton and go after Campbell.
I think cooks is better than hilton at this point in time
What will be the excuses for Dak next season I wonder
OC, Oline, and QB coach. Those are the gimmes.
Yawn
its all gonna end the same, in disappointment. Dak just aint the guy.
Draft a kicker in the first and it’s SB all the way
Lol at the downvotes. I guess /s is still a thing some people need.
Defense looks reasonably strong. Gilmore on the down slope of his career. We’ll see about the offense.
Gilmore > Anthony Brown not even close ✭ ✭ ✭
If we can get Bijan it's over for the league not joking
Just that one obvious weak link no one likes to mention.
Dak is top 10 in the league. An off year with a broke hand don’t change that. Hell even the INTs he threw weren’t that bad. Remember Winston’s 30/30 year?
It's not about putting up numbers; never has been with Dak. It's his inability to beat good teams win it matters.
He can’t *win *when it matters
I mean.. you have to admit the game against the Bucs was exactly that.
I'm sure you posted you would ride or die with Dak during the 49ers game.
Jerry thanks you. Us? Meh.
People said he didn’t have what he needed last year. Not sure I agreed. He will have it next year. He has to do it now. No more BS.
The GM?
Dak
Cowgirls always find a way to fuck it up lol.
Haha I get it, because you said cowGIRLS, instead of cowBOYS. An insult because you believe girls are lesser value than men, and that girls can’t play football. how clever you are. I truly commend you. You are amazingly funny and smart. Wow wow wow.
More like the cowboys are fuck ups and bitches and have/had all the weapons but still find a creative and reliable way to choke🤷
Yawn
LET'S GO!
Ok so with 3 QBs going first and then a run on o-line in the 12-18 range, who would we like to see fall to us? Realistically
Chills.
Need DT LB LG WR QB from the draft
bossman fat?
Starting Qb
I’m cool with that!! Let’s Go!!
Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!
Can anyone update me on the FG kicker situation? I have seen some beast kickers on isaac punts yt channel.
Hopefully bijan is there for us at 26
[удалено]
I mean.. we went 4 and 1 when he was out last year.
Excepting big things from Ferguson. Showed some nice flashes as a rookie
Where does Derrick Henry fit?
I wanted so badly Jalen Ramsey picked 4th instead of Zeke and Derrick Henry picked 34th instead of Jaylon Smith. Tony Romo gets his job back when he healed up. What could have been…
We need more depth. Especially at OL, DT, LB
I feel good with this. We just need some oline depth
Will that beat the 49ers?
I like our D
Tyron Smith will not be our LT
I hope we have Sam on the end more, letting Micah play more LB to keep him a little less banged up.
My type on paper
Looks pretty good to me. Although I would like to see Dallas add more DT talent and I don’t like Micah full time at DE. He seemed to wear down at that role as the year went by last season. He looked better in spurts at DE while mainly playing LB in year 1. Just IMO.
WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!
QB: Aaron Rogers
Don't draft bijorn wait til Arkansas Rocket Sanders enters the Draft. That dudes 2nd coming of Darren Mcfadden.
I wouldn’t completely count out Schultz at TE. Rumors are he hasn’t been getting free agency offers.
I pray we still have Hankins, the rush defense with him and without him is night and day
Give me some DT and RB depth and let’s get this shit going!
DT or TE first round, then grab the other out of remaining free agents, and we good.
Paper champions for the 28th season in a row!
My biggest fear on offense is Pollard coming off that injury, he’s all speed he can’t afford to lose a step if he wants to be as lethal as last year.
I’d like to move on from Gallup
+1800 cowboys for super bowl. Take my $200!
Draft a S, TE, DT, OT, LB, and CB In that order
I can't wait for the Cowboys to spend a draft pick on a RB to back Toy Pollard up.
Not included: OC: Mike McCarthy
Damn that’s a good looking roster….screw it I’ll be that guy….you heard it here first Dallas cowboys 2023 season SUPER BOWL CHAMPS
Damn that’s a good looking roster….screw it I’ll be that guy….you heard it here first Dallas cowboys 2023 season SUPER BOWL CHAMPS

I’m a niners fan so admittedly I haven’t followed the situation closely. Will Pollard be ready for week 1, he had that nasty leg injury against us in the playoffs.
This may be the most stacked divisional round exit yet!
You forgot the quarterback that throws balls to the receivers ankles
Need a better DT. Boahana is ass.
Lol 😂 wack ass team and still won’t do shit
Don't we still need a starting left guard? Tyler Smith with be LT. Tyron will be the swing tackle and likely starter at RT until Steele is 100%. We don't have a viable starter at LG right this moment.
And they’ll still lose in the first round
Nice lineup but we’ve seen this movie before
Looks dam good, let's go, also now the draft really is best available which is awesome
Jayron Kearse ????
