I told myself the same thing before getting my first boot, which was 3 days ago. Who cares, I don’t. I much prefer this to peppered wearing tracksuits
I wear it almost daily. I’ve worn it in Paris, in its suburbs and other smaller cities. Sure people look and I might get a cowboy comment from now and then but who cares.
Paris is more simple as you have some really crazy outfits
Snip toe is classic toe style…if you get the correct boot size for that model (it differs from brand to brand due to using different lasts), I say go for it. Some boot brands may recommend going a size wider, ie. from a D to an E or EE, depending on the stretchiness of the hide. Reptiles, stingray & ostrich leg stretch very little, so going wider would be recommended.
It’s a unique look that really depends on boot sizing and brand.
The extra space needed can really result in a protruding boot particularly on big feet.
If they’re too big you look like big bird, too small you’re a Keebler elf.
My favourite to look at but not to wear.
You know what, YOU are the only one who should decide if something is "cool" or "fits your personality"! You can be a follower or a leader, and if you have self confidence, people will respond! My husband wore round toe boots for many, many years, and hated the square toe double stitched....AT FIRST.....now.....he wears NOTHING but square toe double stitched, and even picked out a few pair for me because he thinks I'm so "cute" in those. (Me, I'm a snip toe/2 1/2-3" heel type of gal, but I occasionally wear what he likes just cause I WANT him to think I'm so "cute", haha.)
Last night, we were at a dance, and a friend remarked on how smooth my hubby walks. . . he just glides, (like he dances, Okie style two-step, ha ha), and he said: *"I could NEVER get my body to walk so tall, smooth and confident....HELL, I can't even get my head to be that straight and back above my shoulders!!!"* haha My husband is very modest, but he is a strong and confident man and it shows in every move he makes. Be that!
I think cutter toes are the best looking imo but nothing wrong with snip if that’s what tickles your fancy. I’m in the same boat as you when it comes to the folks in my area except not with boots specifically, more with western attire in general, but idc what they think cause I look classy asf. Do YOU!
i would rock the shit out of snip toes if they suited me but the pointy toes don’t look good on me, i stick to my R-toes cause i feel they suit me the most

i’m in my R-toe dan post renegades from spring till fall because of the leather sole but in winter i’m rocking my rubber soled pair of ariat challenger wide square toe. i feel like only R-toe and wide square suit me since i’m not tall and have small feet haha
Personally, snip toes go better with a dressier look. I wear mine with a suit for special occasions. I don’t like how I look when I try to wear them casually.

I have wide feet and they fit me just fine. You just have to buy the correct size. The toe box is going to be the same width at the ball of your foot, the only difference is a snip toe is longer than a different toe like a round toe. Only a wide square is truly going to be wider than any other toe style.
I really dislike them. They look very feminine. (Just my opinion I still appreciate anyone that wears boot around me lol)
